  • Patent number: 5609480
Abstract: A transparent glass or ceramic shroud that is of a proper size for placing onto the top of a burning candle and once in place will eliminate any new supply of air to keep the candle burning. The shroud is transparent so a user can see the wick through the shroud and will not, therefore, bend over the wick, which will make it difficult to relight the candle. A protective ring is placed around the open end of the shroud which is removable so cleaning the shroud is easier. Also, a ring of non-heat conducting material may be placed between the ring and the shroud to protect the user's fingers.

  • Patent number: 5607125
Abstract: An ironing cord holder which will keep the cord out of the way when ironing. The holder has a pair of spring biased spindles which rotate in opposite directions from each other. The spindles are spaced apart so that an iron cord will fit between them in a tight friction fit. When the iron is moved away from the cord holder, the spindles will rotate and tighten the springs. When the iron is moved toward the cord holder, the springs will pull the cord, thereby keeping the cord out of the way while ironing.

  • Patent number: 5551662
Abstract: A jig having top and bottom collar with the top collar being either smaller than the bottom collar or the same size. The collars are joined by four stakes welded to the bottom collar which are used to level the jig. A third collar, called a centering collar, is attached to the top collar and has a pipe attached to it which extends down into the center of the jig to suspend a second pipe in the exact center of the jig. The centering collar and pipe have a lifting eye attached thereto, so a crane can lift the jig and completed stone post and move it to a new location. The stakes of the jig can be used as a guide to plumb and level stone which can be laid to form a stone post.
