Abstract: A storage rack system having a plurality of storage bays adapted to store pallet loads that are seven pallets deep is disclosed. One storage rack system disclosed includes six carts each adapted to support a single pallet load and being supported on track means for movement from a forward position to a back position. Another storage rack system disclosed includes a first cart for supporting a single pallet load, and two double carts each adapted to support two pallet loads, the carts being supported on track means for movement from a forward position to a back position.

Abstract: A trash container having a drum whose shape is in a form of a truncated cone on a dolly. The drum, which is open at the top and bottom and includes openings along its surface, is positioned upon the dolly for easy moving and positioning. A trash liner is located within the drum such that when the liner is filled, the dolly is rolled to a disposal pick-up site. The drum is first lifted and the filled liner is then removed from the dolly. After depositing the liner, the drum is returned to the dolly.

The device incorporates a member that is expandable into certain recesses of the cassette when placed into a locking mode and, is not expanded when the cassette is in a non-locking mode. Abstract: A module for measuring level, plumb and various angles by a simple hand manipulation. The module, which contains a bubble in a vial, is in one modality located in a carpenter's leveling bar and is slidable therein so that it may always be oriented at eye level for ease of viewing. The module is compact in size and design for ease in carrying on one's person and, it may be attached to a framing square or a straight edge, for example, such that measuring of the horizontal, vertical, and acute or obtuse angles may be readily accomplished in a portable fashion. In another mode, the measuring module which is formed upon a four-sided support member may be utilized without any additional structural element to provide a self contained angular measuring mechanism.

Abstract: A birdfeeder according to the invention is designed for repelling predatory animals. The feeder includes a spring-actuated roof which acts as a catapult when an animal alights thereon. The roof is secured by a latch which disengages when spring loaded pistons urge the roof upward and it can be closed and resecured either manually or automatically by motor.

Abstract: A reversing transmission is comprised of a rotating input shaft, an output shaft rotatable in either direction, first and second rotating clutches, means operatively connected between the input shaft and the first and second clutches for causing rotation of an input drive portion thereof, first drive means responsive to engagement of the first clutch to cause rotation of the output shaft in one direction, second drive means responsive to engagement of the second clutch to cause rotation of the output shaft in the other direction, and control means responsive to a first operating condition for causing engagement of the first clutch and disengagement of the second clutch and responsive to a second operating condition for causing engagement of the second clutch and disengagement of the first clutch.

Abstract: A novel polymer consisting of a macromolecular polysaccharide matrix which is esterified in whole or in part by activated polyunsaturated acids containing twenty carbon atoms. Typical of these acids are, for example, 8, 11, 14-eicosatrienoic acid, 5, 8, 11, 14-eicosatetraenoic acid and 5, 8, 11, 14, 17-eicosapentenoic acid. These polymers are therapeutically useful products which have utility in the same fields of application as the prostaglandins but absent their adverse side effects.

Abstract: A woman's contraceptive in the form of an intrauterine device, having an elastic structure in the form of a stylized inverted Delta which, when viewed in profile, possesses a rectangular shape over its entire cross-section, and which comprises an arc internal to the Delta-shaped structure at the center of which there is a channel through which a monofilament is knotted, to descend double and pass through a hole provided in the center of the lower arc of the Delta, said device being adaptable to the variable shape of the uterine cavity so as to avoid causing injury.

Abstract: A novel microporous resin which is useful in the treatment of hyperchloesterolemia. This resin is comprised of a cross-linked polystyrene matrix and is characterized by active moieties selected from among methylamino, methylammonium or a combination of methylamino and methylammonium groups. The porosity of this resin is capable of absorbing and retaining bile salts having an average diameter of 150-200 Angstrom units.

Abstract: A retreading envelope is made by extruding a split tube of rubber which is passed over a rotating stretching wheel to stretch the split tube to a predetermined shape. The stretched split tube is removed from the stretching wheel after moving around a part of the circumference thereof and is turned inside out and placed on a table whereat it is formed and cut into an annular shape preparatory to completion of the retreading envelope.
