  • Patent number: 5355563
Abstract: A fastener g to the invention is used upon being attached to an ornamental device and is freely rotatably connected to a main body of the ornamental device. A pin extending from the connected portion in one direction and a lever of the pin extending from the connected portion in another direction are provided, and the distal end of the pin is biased toward the main body about a rotary shaft at the connected portion. The pin has a difference in level, namely a curved portion, which shifts the axial direction of the pin near its distal end toward the main body. An ornamental device according to the invention has a fastener attached to a main body thereof. The fastener is freely rotatably connected to the main body and is provided with a pin extending from the connected portion in one direction and a lever of the pin extending from the connected portion in another direction, wherein the distal end of the pin is biased toward the main body about a rotary shaft at the connected portion.

  • Patent number: 5356334
Abstract: Apparatus and method for an airborne particulate booth, such as a dust or paint, include a velocity sensing device for detecting the velocity of the air flow in the booth, utilizing, in a preferred form, a pendulum mounted sail. The air flow from the booth moves the sail; the sail moves the pendulum; and the pendulum's motion is detected and used to control the booth's air flow intake and exhaust fans or blowers to maintain the air flow at essentially a preset or desired constant velocity. Additionally, the apparatus and method when used in a powder paint booth with powder filters, includes progressive pulsing means which pulse the powder filters in a manner such that the interval between pulses may be automatically and progressively changed to keep the powder filters operating at or near peak efficiency from the time they are installed until the time they can no longer be kept functioning efficiently by pulsing, but must be replaced.

  • Patent number: 5330140
Abstract: A pipe anchor to support the air lines of a railway car is made up of two substantially identical components. One of the components is welded to the car, and the other mobile component is brought into locking engagement around the pipe. Each component has a pair of opposed inclined legs. The mobile component is inverted relative to the other, and the legs slidably engage into a locked position embracing the pipe.

  • Patent number: 5329910
Abstract: An efficient auxiliary engine combustion system is capable of controlling the emission of exhausted carbon and other exhaust matter by improving the combustion efficiency of engines by installing the system to the air intake pipe or fuel feeding pipe or both. The auxiliary engine combustion system has a belt shaped cover in which a first metal plate, rubber plate, second metal plate, capacitor and third copper plate are therein aligned and contained. Between the first metal copper plate and second metal plate lies a capacitor. A first terminal of the capacitor is affixed to the first metal plate. A second terminal is affixed to second metal plate. Static electricity charges the capacitor to provide a positive charge to neutralize and decompose concentrations of negative ions entrained in the incoming air or fuel flow.
