  • Patent number: 5910037
Abstract: A toy building system for the construction of e.g. in-door settings and furniture element groupings, comprising a number of substantially box-shaped fittings (1,2,3) with a top surface, a bottom surface and a number of lateral walls, comprising a front with furniture-like functional parts, such as doors, shelves, etc., and a back (4) with coupling means (5,6) and wherein each fitting (1,2,3) has at least two functionally identical coupling means (5,6), said coupling means (5,6) comprising coupling means (5) that protrude a distance from the back (4) of the fitting (1,2,3), and wherein the coupling means (5,6) are arranged at a mutual modular distance and provided in such a manner that the fittings (1,2,3) may be interconnected back (4) to back (4) in at least two different positions relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 5908584
Abstract: An electrically conductive material used for shielding against electromagnetic waves and comprising a binder, a mixture of graphite and amorphous carbon, and sand. It has been shown that this mixture has enhanced shielding properties, particularly in the 100 MHZ range. The graphite/carbon mixture preferably makes up 25-75% of the total weight of the material. The binder may be cementitious. Said material may also be used in conductive floors, electrical heating equipment, light conductors, heating elements, ground connections, resistors, capacitors and antennas.

  • Patent number: 5907891
Abstract: The tree fastener includes a shank, a head and wings on first and second opposed sides of the shank. The wings are split along the tool parting line into wing portions which extend from the shank at different angles so that the spacing between wing portions is one half the distance between successive wings. Additionally, the wing portions are diagonally paired so that wing portions on a first opposed side of the shank and a first side of the tool parting line extend from the shank at the same angle as wing portions on a second opposed side of the shank and a second side of the tool parting line. Likewise, wing portions on a second side of the shank and a first side of the tool parting line extend from the shank at the same angle as wing portions on a first side of the shank and a second side of the tool parting line.

  • Patent number: 5908172
Abstract: A spool for filamentary material such as optical fibers and others consists of two members which are locked together to form a drum with two opposed flanges defining a winding space. The two members may be separated to allow material wound on the drum to be removed at will. After the material is removed, the two parts may be locked again making the spool reusable.

  • Patent number: 5908206
Abstract: Ski pole straps separate from wrist straps are adapted to be releasably coupled by fastening means such as buckles or Velcro fasteners. The ski pole straps are adapted to be fastened to releasably attach the ski poles together. The wrist straps are adapted to be releasably attached to facilitate carrying ski boots and skis together with ski poles by hand. A sling strap is adapted to be fastened to the wrist straps to facilitate carrying ski boots and skis together with ski poles over the shoulder.

  • Patent number: 5907733
Abstract: In an exposing aperture device having a pair of exposing diaphragms which are moved in opposite directions while being guided by guide members formed on a base plate, the guide members are each formed of a vertical rising part with a first contact protrusion coming into point contact with the diaphragms and a horizontal ledge part with a second contact protrusion being in point contact with the diaphragms. By projecting the first and second contact protrusions more than burrs which are inevitably left on the rising part and ledge part as the result of forming the base plate by a punching process or a resin molding process, the exposing diaphragms can be moved smoothly and stably to control exposure with a high accuracy without being affected by the burrs.

  • Patent number: 5904187
Abstract: An on-machine-seamable papermaker's fabric includes a first and a second base fabric, each of which is joinable into endless form with a seam. The first and second base fabrics are attached to one another by at least one layer of staple fiber batt entangled therethrough such that they are offset with respect to one another in a lengthwise direction when joined. As a consequence, seaming loops at one widthwise edge of the first base fabric coincide with a non-seam region of the second base fabric, and seaming loops at one widthwise edge of the second base fabric coincide with a non-seam region of the first base fabric. When joined into endless form, the first base fabric is an outer base fabric, and the second base fabric is an inner base fabric.

  • Patent number: 5902168
Abstract: A coupling element for releasable retention of an end of an elongate pull element has a cavity to receive said end. The pull element is formed with a constriction and the coupling element with a corresponding cavity. The pull element may be inserted unobstructedly and subsequently be locked by moving a movable portion, e.g. in the form of a hinged portion, into a locking position in which, in combination with the cavity, it establishes releasable locking of the pull element.
