  • Patent number: 7134796
Abstract: A device which in an optical interface adapts XFP to a 300 pin MSA transponder socket, permitting replacement of 300 pin MSA transponders with an XFP module on an existing host circuit pack. The device performs dispersion compensation in a removable module, addressing issues of jitter, path length equalization, cross talk and electromagnetic compatibility. As deployed, the device presents at the optical interface the attributes of XFP, hence connected optical devices are “fooled” into reading a connection to XFP instead of the 300 pin MSA.

  • Patent number: 7111349
Abstract: A carabiner tool assembly is provided. The tool assembly comprises in one embodiment a body portion for storing a tool having a longitudinal length and a carabiner assembly. The body portion comprises an outside shell forming an interior chamber and an opening extending through the outside shell through to the interior chamber, the opening being sized to be only slightly larger than needed to pass the tool through in a direction along the longitudinal length of the tool. The carabiner assembly comprises a first leg having a selectively openable gate assembly, the first leg extending from a first section of the body portion. A second leg extends from a second section of the body portion and a third leg extends between and connects the first and second legs, wherein the first, second and third legs of the carabiner assembly define another opening. The carabiner assembly can also have only two legs.

  • Patent number: 7097086
Abstract: The present invention provides a stapler with a novel leaf spring actuation mechanism. According to the teaching of the present invention, the stapler comprises a striking plate for dispensing a staple from a staple magazine, a leaf spring engaged with the striking plate for driving the striking plate, and an actuation bar for lifting the leaf spring from a first position to a second position whereby lifting the striking plate from an initial position to a release position in which the leaf spring is released from the actuation bar to drive the striking plate towards the initial position. Preferably, a pair of lugs on the actuation bar pushes up a pair of tabs on the leaf spring when an L-shaped front end of the actuation bar moves upward along a ramp when an external force is applied to the actuation bar during the stapling operation.
