Abstract: In some examples, an electrode plate K is conveyed to a gap 230 of a pair of stacking drums 210 and 220 with a conveying section 100. In synchronization with conveyance of the electrode plate K, the drums 210 and 220 feed a pair of separators S each formed into a predetermined shape with the separators S adhering to corresponding peripheral surfaces of the pair of drums 210 and 220. While feeding the electrode plate K forward in a generally horizontal manner, the separators S are sequentially stacked on both surfaces of the electrode plate K in synchronized with rotations of the drums 210 and 220, and both edge portions of the separators S are welded.

Abstract: Binaural rendering a multi-channel audio signal into a binaural output signal is described. The multi-channel audio signal has a stereo downmix signal into which a plurality of audio signals are downmixed, and side information having a downmix information, as well as object level information of the plurality of audio signals and inter-object cross correlation information. Based on a first rendering prescription, a preliminary binaural signal is computed from the first and second channels of the stereo downmix signal. A decorrelated signal is generated as an perceptual equivalent to a mono downmix of the first and second channels of the stereo downmix signal being, however, decorrelated to the mono downmix. Depending on a second rendering prescription, a corrective binaural signal is computed from the decorrelated signal and the preliminary binaural signal is mixed with the corrective binaural signal to obtain the binaural output signal.

Abstract: An engine sound synthesizer includes an engine sound storing section, and a synthetic engine sound data generating section which generates synthetic engine sound data on the basis of engine sound data stored in the engine sound storing section. The engine sound storing section stores therein plural groups of plural entities of engine sound data recorded in different driving states, the plural groups of plural engine sound data entities being stored therein in correspondence with predetermined plural driving state ranges. The synthetic engine sound data generating section generates the synthetic engine sound data by selectively reading out of the engine sound storing section plural engine sound data entities in a group corresponding to one of the driving state ranges specified by externally input driving state specification information and selectively combining the read engine sound data entities. The driving states are each defined, for example, by a throttle opening degree and an engine rotation speed.
Abstract: It is possible to decrease block segmentation and flickering due to separate exposure in an active matrix substrate while avoiding decreased aperture ratio, increased parasitic capacity and complication in manufacturing process. A first pixel circuit and a second pixel circuit including a first-type TFT and a second-type TFT, respectively, are disposed alternately relative to each other in both directions of row and column in an active matrix substrate. In the first-type and the second-type TFTs, a pattern misalignment of the drain electrode with respect to the gate electrode in an up-down direction will increase/decrease a gate-drain parasitic capacity Cgd in reverse ways. By disposing these two types of TFTs in uniform dispersion, the increase/decrease in the parasitic capacity Cgd caused by pattern misalignment occurring at the time of manufacture are averaged.
Abstract: An apparatus for performing a correlation between a test sound signal replayable at variable speed and a reference sound signal, which is a digitally stored version of the test sound signal, has a determinator for determining a measure for the replay speed of a test sound signal; a variator for varying a test sound signal sampling rate, to generate a modified test sound signal depending on the measure for the replay speed, or for varying a reference sound signal sampling rate, to generate a modified reference sound signal depending on the measure for the replay speed, the variator being formed to vary the test or reference sampling rate so that a deviation between a test or modified test sound signal replay speed and a reference or modified reference sound signal replay speed is reduced; and a comparator for comparing the test or modified test sound signal and the reference or modified reference sound signal to obtain a correlation result.

Abstract: A wireless IC device includes a wireless IC chip, a power supply circuit board upon which the wireless IC chip is mounted, and in which a power supply circuit is provided, the power supply circuit includes a resonant circuit having a predetermined resonant frequency, and a radiation pattern, which is adhered to the underside of the power supply circuit board, for radiating a transmission signal supplied from the power supply circuit, and for receiving a reception signal to supply this to the power supply circuit. The resonant circuit is an LC resonant circuit including an inductance device and capacitance devices. The power supply circuit board is a multilayer rigid board or a single-layer rigid board, and between the wireless IC chip and the radiation pattern is connected by DC connection, magnetic coupling, or capacitive coupling.
Abstract: A serial axial fan includes first and second axial fans. Each of the first and second axial fans includes a base portion and a plurality of support ribs arranged to connect the base portions to housings. The first and second axial fans are coupled together with the base portions thereof either in contact with or in close proximity to each other. Each of the support ribs in each of the first and second axial fans extends over both housings of the first and second axial fans.
Abstract: A rare-earth magnet includes a magnet body made of an R—Fe—B based rare-earth magnet material (where R is at least one rare-earth element) and a metal film that has been deposited on the surface of the magnet body. The magnet further includes a plurality of reaction layers between the magnet body and the metal film. The reaction layers include: a first reaction layer, which contacts with at least some of R2Fe14B type crystals, included in the magnet body, to have received the rare-earth element that has been included in the R2Fe14B type crystals; and a second reaction layer, which is located between the first reaction layer and the metal film and which has a lower rare-earth element concentration than that of the first reaction layer.

The stator unit includes a stator, a base portion including a through hole, and a circuit board. A lower surface of the base portion includes a recess portion arranged to accommodate the connection portion, and a groove portion arranged to extend from the recess portion to have the extending portion arranged therein. Abstract: An R-T-B based sintered magnet according to the present invention has a composition including: 27.3 mass % to 29.5 mass % of R; 0.92 mass % to 1 mass % of B; 0.05 mass % to 0.3 mass % of Cu; 0.02 mass % to 0.5 mass % of M; and T as the balance, and has an oxygen content of 0.02 mass % to 0.2 mass %. The main phase of the sintered magnet is an R2T14B type compound. The crystal grain size of the main phase is represented by an equivalent circle diameter of 8 ?m or less. And crystal grains with equivalent circle diameters of 4 ?m or less account for at least 80% of the overall area of the main phase.
Abstract: In engine temperature display device for a watercraft, an engine temperature data value is calculated based on a detection signal of a temperature of an engine of an outboard motor. The engine temperature data value is sent to an engine state display device installed in a watercraft by a LAN. A control portion of the engine state display device computes the engine temperature data value based on a plurality of threshold temperatures of a standard engine model stored in a nonvolatile memory, and converts the data value into a display data for indicating a temperature level among a plurality of temperature levels. The display data is displayed on a display device on the watercraft. An engine temperature data value calculating and sending device computes using a plurality of threshold values on an engine block wall temperature specific to an engine, and sends the appropriately converted engine temperature data value.
Abstract: A magnetic resonance type isolator includes a ferrite; a connection conductor that is arranged on the ferrite and includes first, second and third ports; a permanent magnet that applies a direct current magnetic field to the ferrite; a capacitor (or an inductor) that defines a first reactance element; and a capacitor (or an inductor) that defines a second reactance element. A main line arranged between the first port and the second port of the connection conductor does not resonate, an end portion of a sub-line that branches off from the main line serves as the third port, and a wave reflected from the sub-line is modulated so that its phase is shifted by 90° or about 90° at an intersection of the connection conductor. One of the capacitors is connected to the third port and the other capacitor is connected between the first port and the second port.
Abstract: An internal combustion engine capable of improving cleaning efficiency by preventing an increase in the temperature of the exhaust gas to lessen the deterioration of the catalyst. The internal combustion engine includes a convergent section, a divergent section, and a branch section. The branch section branches a shock wave, propagating in a downstream direction at a higher velocity than exhaust gas flowing into an exhaust path from a combustion chamber when an exhaust valve is opened, from a portion of the exhaust path which is upstream with respect to the divergent section, and propagates the shock wave back to the exhaust path. The exhaust gas is caused to pass the convergent section and to collide against the shock wave between the branch section and the divergent section, so as to increase the pressure of the exhaust gas in the convergent section. Such exhaust gas is caused to pass the divergent section to generate a new shock wave and to decrease the temperature of the exhaust gas.
Abstract: A relay server can collectively copy a plurality of shared resources separately held by client terminals to a terminal that belongs to the relay server by performing a simple operation. The relay server includes a shared resource information registration unit. The shared resource information registration unit stores shared resource information when a resource is shared among a plurality of client terminals. The shared resource information includes resource information, hierarchical structure information regarding a hierarchical structure of the resources, and account information of a resource sharing terminal that is a client terminal that shares the resource.
Abstract: An elastic wave apparatus includes a balanced-unbalanced transforming function, and an elastic wave filter and a multilayer wiring board on which the elastic wave filter is mounted. The elastic wave filter includes an unbalanced terminal and first and second balanced terminals. External electrodes used are provided on the multilayer wiring board. A first internal line connects the first balanced terminal and the external electrode. A second internal line connects the second balanced terminal and the external electrode. The lengths or shapes of the first internal line and the second internal line are set so that a capacitance used for the improvement of a balance is generated in an adjacent area A where the first internal line and the second internal line are adjacent to each other. In the adjacent area A, the directions of currents passing through the first internal line and the second internal line are the same.

Abstract: A magnetic resonance isolator includes a ferrite member, a junction conductor that is arranged on the ferrite member and that includes a first port, a second port, and a third port, a permanent magnet that applies a direct current magnetic field to the ferrite member, a capacitor as a reactance element, and a mounting substrate. A main line arranged between the first port and the second port does not resonate, and an end of a sub-line branching from the main line defines the third port. The capacitor is connected to the third port and to the ground. The phase of a wave reflected from the sub-line is adjusted so as to be shifted by about 90 degrees at the intersection of the junction conductor.
Abstract: In a transmission control system for a vehicle, in a torque return period at the time of up-shifting of a transmission, an engine torque and a clutch torque are increased in parallel. A target engine torque value and a target clutch torque value are set such that the clutch torque changes at a value higher than the engine torque. The target clutch torque value is set such that a difference between an amount of energy generated in a clutch and an amount of energy generated in an engine substantially coincides with an amount of energy required to reduce the rotation speed of the engine to a target rotation speed.
Abstract: To provide a motorcycle having a rear fender that effectively prevents a rear wheel, for example, from splashing mud and may support a light stably in accordance with various embodiments. For example, a motorcycle is disclosed for an embodiment having a rear fender that covers a rear wheel, and lights supported by the rear fender. The rear fender includes a support portion that supports the lights, and a lower mudguard extending downward from the support portion, and a dented portion is formed on a surface thereof between the support portion and the lower mudguard to extend to one edge of the rear fender in a motorcycle width direction from the other edge.
