The display system may include a receiving device to transmit a power control signal across a wireless communication link according to a power on/off command inputted from a user, to receive an audio/video (A/V) signal, to display the A/V signal, and to transmit an acknowledgment signal of the A/V signal. The display system may further include a transmitting device to turn on/off in response to a power control signal received from the receiving device, to transmit the A/V signal to the receiving device, and to control a power thereof according to whether the acknowledgement signal of the A/V signal has arrived.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for preventing microwave leakage for a microwave oven. The present invention comprises a cavity assembly formed with an opening portion through which heating energy generated in an energy generating means is supplied into a cooking chamber provided within the cavity assembly; a cover provided on a side of the cavity assembly to cover the opening portion; and a choke member provided between the cavity assembly and the cover to prevent microwave supplied into the cooking chamber from leaking through a gap between the cavity assembly and the cover. According to the present invention, there is an advantage in that microwave is effectively prevented from leaking through a gap, which is formed when installing a heating means for providing a heating source in addition to the microwave.

Abstract: A touch screen device and an operating method thereof are provided. More specifically, a touch screen device is provided which allows a user to selectively restrict input through a touch screen. The touch screen device includes a screen that includes a display configured to display images thereon and a detector configured to detect a touch on the display and convert the touch into an electrical signal, and a controller configured to cause images to be displayed on the display and receive and process signals from the detector. Further, a user may determine whether the controller is operated according to the signal input into the detector. The determination may be made either by a switch separately installed on an earphone or by inputting a signal into the detector by a user.

Abstract: A game service system is provided for transmitting and receiving a broadcast signal and reproducing an image and an audio signal. This system allows a user not only to view TV programs broadcasted from a broadcasting station, but also to order a desired game program, receive the selected game program from a broadcasting station, and execute the selected game program. In addition, because the game program can be transmitted through the broadcasting media, a plurality of users can receive a desired game program.

Abstract: A radio link (RL) parameter updating method of a high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) system in a mobile communication system is disclosed. According to a radio channel situation of a terminal, an RL parameter applied to transmission and reception of control information between the terminal and a base station is dynamically controlled. For this purpose, the RL parameter updating method includes: a step in which the base station determines whether to update an HSDPA related parameter and transmits the parameter update information to the RNC to trigger updating of the RL parameter; and a step in which the RNC updates the HSDPA related parameter and transmits it to the terminal. The parameter update information is delivered through an RL parameter update response message, and the RNC is a serving RNC.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for interacting with a mobile telephone are provided. A remote control unit receives a user command and transmits it to a TV system which recognizes the user command as a telephone function command and transmits the function command to the mobile telephone if the TV system is set to Telephone Mode. The TV system may also output data received from the mobile telephone in response to the transmitted function command. Thus, a user may interact with a mobile telephone using an interactive TV system by displaying text/image data received from the telephone and by inputting various telephone function commands using a remote control unit. Upon receiving a function command from the TV system, the mobile telephone generates output data in response to the function command and transmits itto the TV system. A display unit of the TV system displays the text/image data, and a speaker outputs the sound data.

Abstract: A method for selecting and activating a particular menu displayed in a client's region of a monitor screen by use of an image cognition is disclosed. Using an image-capturing device such as a camera attached to a system, a user's image is recognized at real time and displayed on an initial screen of a monitor. The user makes a direct hand motion while viewing his own image displayed on the initial screen, and when a desired menu icon is designated among a variety of menu icons arrayed on the initial screen, the system guides the user's hand image to the corresponding menu icon for its selection. When the user makes a particular body motion to activate the selected menu, the system recognizes the motion for thereby activating the selected menu.
