Abstract: EMI feedthrough filter terminal assembly includes a feedthrough filter capacitor having first and second sets of electrode plates, and a first passageway having a first termination surface conductively coupling the first set of electrode plates. At least one lead wire extends through the first passageway and is conductively attached to a first oxide resistant conductive pad. The first pad is conductively coupled to the first termination surface independently of the lead wire. The terminal assembly may also include a conductive ferrule through which the lead wire passes in non-conductive relation, and an insulator fixed to the ferrule for conductively isolating the lead wire from the ferrule. The ferrule and insulator form a pre-fabricated hermetic terminal pin sub-assembly. The capacitor may include a second passageway having a second termination surface conductively coupling the second set of electrode plates, and a conductive ground lead extending therethrough.

Abstract: A process for accommodating, improving or transmuting random static and dynamic human functions to an object is provided. A device is selected which includes a proximal member and a distal member which articulate relative to one another at an interface. Energy is transmitted through the interface with a predetermined and variable efficacy. The interface is configured to permit static force to have perpendicular and parallel components relative to a primary plane of the interface and to permit a dynamic force to have a parallel component relative to the primary plane.
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a method of forming a lightweight fly ash aggregate together with the resultant fly ash aggregate. The invention further relates to various aspects of the method of forming the lightweight fly ash aggregate including methods of forming fly ash slurry, briquettes, or lightweight fly ash particles. The general steps involved in forming a lightweight fly ash aggregate are as follows:
I. blending fly ash together with a plasticiser and a reduced quantity of water;
II. compacting or compressing the resultant fly ash slurry or dough;
III. cutting or otherwise forming the dough into briquettes;
IV. heating the briquettes to effectively cure the dough;
V. firing the briquettes to sinter the fly ash;
VI. crushing the sintered briquettes and sizing, preferably screening, the resultant fly ash particles to provide the lightweight fly ash aggregate of a predetermined size range.
Abstract: A portable refrigeration apparatus includes a base defining an open interior cavity. An electric refrigeration unit is operably disposed in the base for cooling the contents of the interior cavity. A food container is configured to be removably disposed within the interior cavity of the base. Preferably, a vent is formed between the base and the food container to permit cool air to flow above the food container. A lid is positionable over the food container and configured to be removably placed onto an upper edge of the base to form a generally air-tight seal therebetween.
Abstract: An EMI feedthrough filter terminal assembly includes a capacitor having first and second sets of electrode plates, a first passageway having a first termination surface coupling the first set of electrode plates, a second passageway having a second termination surface coupling the second set of electrode plates, and a third termination surface exteriorly coupling the second set of electrode plates. A ferrule is adjacent to the capacitor and includes an oxide resistant biostable conductive pad, i.e., a noble metal pad, on a surface thereof coupled to the third termination surface. A conductive terminal pin extends through the first passageway in conductive relation with the first set of electrode plates. A conductive ground lead extends through the second passageway in conductive relation with the second set of electrode plates. An insulator is fixed to the ferrule for supporting the terminal pin in conductive isolation from the ferrule.

Abstract: A portable and rapidly deployable shower station is provided particularly for emergency wash-down use, such as flush-flow decontamination of a person exposed to hazardous materials such as hazardous chemical agents or the like. The shower station includes a plurality of tubular frame components adapted for quick and easy assembly to define an interior shower stall. The frame components incorporate a plurality of upright telescopic tubular posts having their upper ends interconnected by a flexible hose, wherein these telescopic posts are extensible upon connection to a supply of water under pressure to raise the flexible hose to an elevated position at the top of the shower stall. The tubular posts and the flexible hose carry a plurality of spray nozzles for delivering a substantial water flow projected from multiple locations and in multiple directions into the shower stall.
Abstract: A counter-top electric oven includes a head having an electric heating unit. The heating unit includes a heating lamp and a grill underlying the heating lamp. A motor powers two fans for circulating air around the motor, and through the heating unit. An oven body removably receives at least a portion of the electric heating unit, and is supported by a dish. The head, oven body and dish form an interior cavity for cooking food. An expansion ring may be disposed between the oven body in the dish to enlarge the cooking enclosure area. A base supports the dish on the flat surface, such as a counter-top. A holder is slidably connected to the base so as to be extended away from the base for supporting the head and oven body when these are moved to an open position.
Abstract: A planisphere watch includes a watch case having a transparent lens. A time keeping mechanism is disposed within the case and has a time display viewable through the lens. A planisphere map of star constellations and star systems is viewable through the lens. A rotatable bezel overlies the lens and defines a window through which a portion of the planisphere is viewed. The bezel includes time indicia alignable with date indicia imprinted onto an underlying tension ring. Rotating the bezel to align a selected time with a selected date reveals a portion of the planisphere map viewable in the night sky at that selected time and date.
Abstract: A bag clip is provided for removably mounting a filter bag onto a suction mast of a pool cleaner to collect and retain debris vacuumed by the pool cleaner from submerged floor and side wall surfaces of a swimming pool. The bag clip includes an inner support collar for reception into an open mouth of a porous filter bag, in combination with an outer clamp ring for releasibly clamping the bag mouth onto the inner support collar. The bag clip additionally includes quick release latch tabs for snap fit mounting onto the pool cleaner suction mast. In use, the outer clamp ring can be quickly and easily opened to permit filter bag removal and disposal of collected debris, followed by re-installation of the same or a replacement filter bag.
Abstract: A filter monitor system is provided in a bottled water cooler for automatically tracking a filter service interval, and for indicating that filter cleaning or replacement is required for continued efficient cooler operation. In the preferred form, the water cooler includes a thermoelectric chiller module for chilling at least a portion of water contained within a cooler reservoir. An air filter is mounted on a filter frame which is removably positioned for filtering air drawn by a fan to circulate over a heat sink associated with the thermoelectric chiller module. The filter monitor system includes a reset switch engaged by the filter frame to initiate and track a predetermined filter service time interval, such as thirty days, and to energize a signal such as an indicator light at the conclusion of this service interval to indicate that the air filter should be removed for cleaning or replacement.

Abstract: A protective electrical junction box assembly and method of splicing which eliminates the expense and timed needed to pull new wire to add new wire or an electrical device to pre-existing wiring is disclosed. In use, a first protective sheath surrounding a first set of pre-existing electrical wires is separated to expose the first set of wires. The exposed portion of these wires is placed into apertures of a protective junction box. The separated ends of the first sheath are attached to the junction box. A portion of the second set of typically new wires is placed into the junction box. The second sheath surrounding these wires is also attached to the junction box. The first set of electrical wires are then spliced to the second set of wires within the junction box before covering and securing the junction box in place.
