  • Patent number: 6443790
Abstract: A bubble forming apparatus includes a member which defines a bubble forming aperture, and a reservoir of liquid soap concentrate in fluid communication with the bubble forming member. A duct extends from the reservoir to one or more outlets disposed adjacent to the bubble forming aperture such that the liquid soap concentrate can flow from the reservoir to the bubble forming member. A channel may be formed within the bubble forming member adjacent to the bubble forming aperture to facilitate the flow of liquid soap concentrate to the bubble forming aperture. An open-cell wick which extends from the reservoir to the bubble forming member may also be used to deliver the liquid soap concentrate to the bubble forming member. A liquid permeable lining may be disposed between the outlets and the bubble forming aperture. • Patent number: 6443110
Abstract: A rotary valve head system for a multi-cylinder engine includes hollow intake and exhaust rotary valve tubes having multiple apertures registerable with an engine intake or exhaust manifold according to a timing mechanism linked to the rotary valve tube. A cylinder head overlying the multiple cylinders includes head intake and exhaust ports registered with the cylinder intake and exhaust ports, which is configured such that a clearance is provided between the cylinder head and outer surfaces of the intake and exhaust rotary valve tubes. Inserts are positioned within the cylinder head to form a seal between the intake and exhaust rotary valve tube apertures and the cylinder head. Incoming air/fuel is permitted to flow through the intake rotary valve tube until entering into a cylinder through a tube aperture registered with a head intake port and cylinder intake port. Outgoing combustion products likewise flow through the exhaust tube.

  • Patent number: 6439274
Abstract: An apparatus for adding fluids to charged systems includes a cylinder having a first end cap attached to a first end thereof and a second end cap removably attached to a second end thereof. A driving nut is formed at an exterior end of a rod which extends through an aperture of the first end cap and attaches to a piston at an interior end thereof. The piston engages the cylinder to form a variable volume reservoir within the cylinder. A hose assembly extends through the second end cap so as to be in fluid communication with the variable volume reservoir. A handle, or alternatively a power tool socket, may be detachably connected to the driving nut for extending the rod into or retracting the rod out from the cylinder to adjust the variable volume reservoir within the cylinder. The cylinder may be transparent and include graduated markings for determining the amount of fluid within the variable volume reservoir at any given time.

  • Patent number: 6439944
Abstract: A bubble forming apparatus includes aligned first and second rims which cooperatively define a central bubble-forming aperture and which move relative to one another. A plurality of leaves each having a first end pivotally attached to the first rim and a second end pivotally attached to the second rim. The leaves selectively move into and out of the central bubble-forming aperture as the rims move. A housing may be provided which partially encases the first and second rims and defines a channel that directs excess bubble solution to a reservoir through a basin formed at a base of the housing. A handle for the device houses the bubble solution reservoir, which may comprise a bottle of bubble solution secured to the handle. A pump is in fluid communication with the bubble solution reservoir and connected to the actuator such that when the actuator rotatably moves the second rim, the pump is activated to discharge bubble solution onto the leaves.

  • Patent number: 6424234
Abstract: A novel electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter is designed to attenuate one or more specific frequencies in order to provide electromagnetic compatibility of an electronic device while in the presence of an electromagnetic emitter operating at the same or similar frequencies. The EMI filter of the present invention combines an EMI low pass filter with one or more “notch” EMI filters tuned to the specific frequencies of interest. When combined in this fashion, the notch EMI filter can effectively attenuate the electromagnetic field of a powerful low frequency emitter which is outside the effective attenuation frequency range of the low pass filter, which is itself effective at filtering a broad range of higher frequencies. In a preferred embodiment, the notch EMI filter capacitive element is integrated in a co-planar relationship with a ceramic feedthrough filter capacitor assembly.
