  • Patent number: 4555159
Abstract: A quick-release battery post connector having an electrically conductive U-shaped clamp with legs that are connected by a pivot member which reciprocates in response to movement of a lever about an upstanding post on each leg. The lever has a boss that rotates within an opening in the pivot member and includes an aperture into which extends one of the clamp leg posts. The aperture axis is offset from the rotational axis of the boss whereby movement of the lever will result in changing the distance between the spaced-apart legs.

  • Patent number: 4541155
Abstract: A portable clamp/hanger device that provides a rigid connection that is releasable between a support beam and a hoist or other load-carrying means. The device includes a movable platform pivoted to a stationary U-shaped member with an opening therebetween. The flange of a support beam is located within the opening and the platform moves against the flange by tightening an underlying screw threaded through a hollow anchor shaft which is secured to the lower arm of the stationary member. A collar swivels universally about a portion of the anchor shaft and includes posts from which swings a hanger for attaching hooks, shackles, rope ties and the like. The platform is provided with an adjustable cleat for adapting to various sized beams. A locking mechanism is included to prevent loosening of the screw. Alternatively, auxiliary pressure can be applied to the movable jaw with a cam and ratchet mechanism or other force transfer device.

  • Patent number: 4515570
Abstract: A dome light and stabilizer fin accessory kit is provided for use with toy flying discs. A socket is attached to the top center portion of the flying disc and a plug is inserted therein. The plug contains either the dome light with battery or a stabilizer fin assembly. The stabilizer fin rotates about a pin connected through an aperture in the plug. The leading edge of the fin includes a counter-balance such as a weight or battery-powered lamp. The trailing end may include an adjustable rudder.

  • Patent number: 4480999
Abstract: An assembly of parts for attachment to a firearm that provides a kickback reaction when the trigger is pulled without the use of live ammunition. A power source operates a drive means attached to the firearm to push back a slide which cocks the firearm hammer. A control means is interposed between the drive means and power source to regulate operation in response to the hammer position.

  • Patent number: 4469211
Abstract: A mechanism for actuating the vending of product from a machine upon the insertion of a predetermined number of specified coins. The mechanism includes a coin member having a partitioned surface that cooperates with housing parts to form a coin accumulation chamber. Upon insertion into the mechanism, the coins become aligned edgewise. The next-to-last coin is located to deflect the last coin upon a ledge. The ledge is part of the partitioned coin member and is situated to locate a portion of the coin beyond the member's periphery. This allows contact with a pin extending from an adjacent manually rotatable lever. After inserting the specified coins, a user of the vending machine will push down on the lever. This force will be transmitted via the pin against the coin, which, in turn, transmits the force through the ledge to the coin member. As the coin member rotates, the coins drop into a coin box.

  • Patent number: 4363341
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously metering soil into moving containers is provided. Two synchronated rotating bladed wheels dispense soil from a hopper into flats of pots moving on a conveyor in a coordinated manner beneath the wheels. The hopper is vibrated by impingement of the wheel blades against the lower portion of the hopper and the containers are agitated by movement of a frame against the conveyor underside.
