  • Patent number: 7840341
Abstract: A system which automatically makes a travel plan by using on-vehicle or portable terminal. The system can prepare a travel plan in which the concrete destination and route are specified when rough positional and temporal conditions are inputted. The objective area and schedule inputted through the terminal are transmitted to an information center. At the information center, a basic frame of the travel meeting the received conditions is prepared. For a day trip, an example of the basic frame is “departure-walk-lunch-amusement park-night view-return”. After the basic frame is prepared, concrete facilities meeting the actions are specified by making access to a data base. The specified facilities are inputted to the basic frame, and thus a concrete plan is completed. The completed plan is supplied to the terminal and displayed on a display to the persons who want to travel. The completed plan is further supplied to a navigation system and the system guides the persons in accordance with the plan.

  • Patent number: 7838163
Abstract: A fuel cell including separators opposing each other and squeezing a power generating reaction portion. Each of the separators includes a gas passage, a gas passage dividing rib, and a protrusion formed in the gas passage. In a first separator, which is an at least one separator of the separators opposing each other via the power generating reaction portion, at a region of the first separator opposing a gas passage dividing rib of a second separator, which is a separator opposing the first separator, a squeezing rib is formed and replaces the protrusion. The squeezing rib and the gas passage dividing rib of the second separator squeezes the power generating reaction portion. At the region of the first separator, a contact area of the squeezing rib with the power generating reaction portion is adapted to be larger than a contact area of the protrusion of the first separator with the power generating reaction portion in a case where the protrusion were formed without forming the squeezing rib.

  • Patent number: 7839641
Abstract: A condenser for a power module combines a plurality of aluminum materials to form a casing equipped with a channel for coolant therein, thus making it possible to keep material costs low. Moreover, thanks to the excellent workability of the aluminum materials, it is possible to adopt a configuration with a complex concave-convex configuration for a superior heat radiation performance. A channel for coolant with high heat radiation performance can also be structured inside the casing. The relatively thick bottom plate secures the rigidity required by the casing, while the relatively thin top plate can have a rigidity intentionally structured lower. In this manner, stress generated on joining surfaces of the condenser and an insulative substrate can be mitigated due to active deformation of the top plate.

  • Patent number: 7837845
Abstract: A sensor card for determining analytes in liquid and gas samples with films connected to one another in sheetlike fashion, namely a sensor film facing the sample with openings and a covering film remote from the sample with openings for electrical tapping, at least one sensor being provided and arranged between the sensor film and the covering film. There is provided between the sensor film and the covering film at least one intermediate film, in which cutouts are provided, the sensor being arranged in one of the cutouts. The sensor card provides a homogeneous thickness, which brings about a reliable sealing of the flow channels for the liquid sample if the sensor card is connected to a plate that partially forms the flow channels within the analysis system. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing such a sensor card.

  • Patent number: 7836685
Abstract: A regeneration controller for preventing particulate matter from increasing when an exhaust purification apparatus is inactivated. The regeneration controller includes an ECU 70 for heating the exhaust purification apparatus and eliminating the particulate matter accumulated in the exhaust purification apparatus when an estimated accumulation amount is greater than a reference accumulation amount. The ECU 70 obtains the estimated accumulation amount by estimating the amount of particulate matter accumulated in the exhaust purification apparatus. An exhaust temperature sensor 44 detects the temperature of the exhaust purification apparatus. The ECU 70 intermittently decreases the air-fuel ratio of exhaust to heat the exhaust purification apparatus and perform burn-up heating for burning the particulate matter. The ECU 70 further prohibits burn-up heating when the temperature detected by an exhaust temperature sensor 44 decreases to a catalyst inactivation level.
