Abstract: A lock apparatus for locking a glove box that is rotatably coupled to an instrument panel of a vehicle. The lock apparatus includes an operating portion with a push-type knob, a pair of lock portions, and a transmitting portion with a transmitting member. The operating portion is located closer to a driver seat than a right and left center of the glove box in a right and left direction of a vehicle. The operating portion is coupled to the instrument panel between the instrument panel and the glove box. Each of the lock portions is located at each of right and left end portions of the glove box. The transmitting portion transmits a motion of the operating portion to each of the pair of lock portions using tension and/or compression of the transmitting member.

Abstract: An apparatus for triggering restraint devices includes crash sensors inside and outside of a control unit. The apparatus checks a crash signal of the crash sensors using a plausibility signal. To check the crash signal, the apparatus receives the plausibility signal from a vehicle sensor outside of the control unit, and then triggers the restraint devices as a function of the crash signal and the first plausibility signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a neural stimulation delivery device to deliver electrical and/or chemical stimulation to target sites in the central and peripheral nervous system. The device generally includes a tubular body defining a plurality of ports along the longitudinal axis thereof, a plurality of delivery structures insertable in the body, and a control mechanism in communication with the plurality of delivery structures to independently move each of the plurality of delivery structures through a respective one of the plurality of ports with respect to each other of the plurality of delivery structures. The ability of each delivery structure to be independently moveable through a respective port allows each delivery structure to be selectively advanced or retracted independent of the movement of another delivery structure.
Abstract: In response to detection of a slip-down of a vehicle under restriction of a motor torque Tm*, which is required for a drive shaft linked with drive wheels, due to the occurrence of a slip caused by spin of the drive wheels on an ending slope, the technique of the invention multiplies a torque insufficiency by a ratio (reflection ratio ?) specified according to a vehicle speed V in a t direction, so as to set a brake tourgue Tb*. The torque insufficiency corresponds to a difference between the restricted motor torque Tm* and a balancing torque Tgrad corresponding to a road surface gradient set according to the relation between an acceleration of the vehicle and a torque output to the drive shaft The setting of the brake torque Tb* makes the velocity of the slip-down of the vehicle approach to a preset vehicle speed. The brake torque Tb* is applied by hydraulic brakes attached to driven wheels which am different from the drive wheels.
Abstract: A circuit includes an NMOS transistor having a drain and a source, a p-well containing the drain and the source, an n-well under the p-well, and a first well switch configured to selectively connect the n-well to a predetermined voltage in response to an enable phase of a first switching signal. The first well switch can be configured to connect the n-well to the predetermined voltage during the enable phase of the first switching signal and to electrically float the n-well during a non-enable phase of the first switching signal.

Abstract: A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, in particular for direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an engine, including an actuator, a valve needle which is mechanically linked to the actuator and is acted upon by a restoring spring in a closing direction, for actuation of a valve closing body, which together with a valve seat face forms a sealing seat, and including a sleeve which pre-stresses the restoring spring. An adjusting body is situated adjustably in the sleeve so that a fuel amount flowing through the fuel injector per unit of time is a function of the position of the adjusting body in the sleeve.
Abstract: Described is a data transmission path including a device for checking the data integrity of data transmitted from the sender side to the receiver side of the data transmission path, in a motor vehicle in particular, having a first data modification device on the sender side and a second data modification device on the receiver side which each have the same transmission function and a comparator for comparing the output data of the data modification devices. Input data are modified into output data on the sender side and transmitted to the receiver side, and identical input data are transmitted to the receiver side and modified there into output data. Moreover, a method for checking the data integrity is described.

Abstract: A reversible tote comprising a reversible body including first and second surfaces having different patterns. A first pair of openings may extend through a first side of the body to receive a first handle and a second pair of openings can extend through a second side of the body to receive a second handle. A interior lining may form a storage compartment and can be fixed proximate to an upper edge of the body. The interior lining may have a zipper to selectively open and close an end of the lining.
Abstract: A high-precision gas leak judgment comparable to that when the fuel cell is operating normally is achieved even when a fuel cell is restarted. A gas leak judgment unit (for example ECU 13) for judging gas leak in a closed space formed in a fuel gas system refers to a gas leak judgment value based on pressure change in the closed space detected by a pressure sensor to judge gas leak and, in addition, varies the fuel gas leak judgment level in response to nitrogen concentration in a fuel electrode. The varying of gas leak judgment level in response to the nitrogen concentration takes into account a temporary rise in the nitrogen concentration in the fuel electrode that occurs when a fuel cell stack is restarted and, in this case, it is preferable that the gas judgment value be altered in response to the nitrogen concentration.
Abstract: A method and a device are for predicting a life expectancy of a product, which includes at least two components. The life expectancy is ascertained as a function of an assumed field loading of the product. The components of the product are acted upon by different loadings and are operated, in each instance, at the different loadings until they fail. An end-of-life curve of the component is recorded on the basis of the load-dependent failure times of a component. An EOL curve of the product is ascertained such that at the different loadings, it includes the EOL curve of the components which has, in each instance, the shortest failure time at the corresponding loading. The anticipated service life of the product is determined as a functional value of the EOL curve of the product as a function of the predefined loading of the product.

Abstract: A method for operating an internal combustion engine in which at least one secondary fuel injection is carried out, and a device for implementing the method. The level of the motor oil of the internal combustion engine is ascertained, which is compared to a first threshold value for the maximum possible oil level. If a threshold is exceeded, a warning signal is provided. Preferably an oil-dilution signal, which is a measure for the quantity and/or the volume of the oil dilution input into the motor oil of the internal combustion engine by the at least one secondary fuel injection, is taken into account when ascertaining the oil level.
