Abstract: The present invention relates to improved condoms which in addition to providing protection against the transmission of disease and pregnancy also allow for a high degree of stimulation and sensitivity during sexual intercourse. The condoms comprise thin, soft, strong polyether polyol and polyester polyol diisocyanate based polyurethane elastomers in combination with a spermicidal lubricant.
Abstract: Tannate compositions consisting essentially of carbetapentane tannate and pyrilamine tannate which are effective when administered orally for the symptomatic relief of coryza associated with the common cold, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, unproductive cough and upper respiratory tract conditions are disclosed.
Abstract: There is provided spermicidal/antiviral compositions in the form of lotions, cremes, foams and gels that are non-irritating. The compositions contain an effective amount of 4,4′-methylenebis-(tetrahydro-1,2,4-thiadiazine)-1,1,1′,1′-tetraoxide as a spermicide/virucide.
Abstract: Tannate compositions consisting essentially of phenylephrine tannate and chiorpheniramine tannate which are effective when administered orally for the symptomatic relief of coryza associated with the common cold, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis and upper respiratory tract conditions are disclosed.
Abstract: The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing 3-iodo-1,2-propanediol which are effective in increasing the output of thin respiratory tract fluid and liquefying tenacious mucus in the bronchial tree.
Abstract: A depilatory composition for the removal of hair from the human body is composed of a mixture of maltodextrin, having a dextrose equivalent of from about 5 to about 36, sucrose, water and citric acid. This mixture is heated to dissolve the solute materials, and then cooled to form a soft, pliant composition which can be manually applied to the skin. When contacted with body hair, the composition firmly adheres to the hair such that when the material is drawn away from the skin, the hair will be removed from its roots without undue swelling or skin irritation.
Abstract: Methods for protecting warm-blooded animals against the formation of myocardial infarct through the administration of 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate are disclosed.
Abstract: Liquid mixtures containing natural rubber latex and aqueous dispersions of hydrophillic fumed silica useful in the manufacture of dipped latex goods characterized by improved tensile strength, wet strength, break force, puncture and tear properties are disclosed.

Abstract: A novel method for the prevention and control of epileptic seizures, particularly intractable seizures associated with the Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, employing pharmaceutical compositions containing 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate.
Abstract: Novel methods and compositions for the suppression of the desire for food consumption in warm-blooded animals consisting essentially of the administration of 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate are disclosed.
Abstract: A method for treating and controlling the symptoms of neuropsychopharmacological disorders and neurodegenerative diseases associated with or resulting from excessive activation of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor complex which comprises administering to warm-blooded animals in need of such treatment, 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate, the neuroprotective effects of which are at least partially mediated through a strychnine-insensitive glycine receptor mechanism is disclosed.
Abstract: Aqueous emulsion or suspensoid antiperspirant preparations are disclosed which offer a cost advantage in addition to providing for the reduction or elimination of whitening of the skin, reduced tack and added emolliency.
Abstract: A novel method for the prevention and control of epileptic seizures particulary in patients with uncontrolled complex partial seizures employing pharmaceutical compositions containing 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate.
Abstract: A method for the prevention and control of hypoxic damage resulting from stroke or other cerebral ischemic event which comprises administering pharmaceutical compositions containing 2-phenyl-1, 3-propanediol dicarbamate as an active ingredient.
Abstract: Synthesis of 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol by the selective reduction of diethyl phenylmalonate with metal hydrides in solution with heterocyclic ethers are disclosed.
Abstract: A novel method for the prevention and control of epileptic seizures employing pharmaceutical compositions containing 2-phenyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate.
Abstract: Skin care cosmetic formulations which include a cellulosic polymer/solvent system capable of dispersing thin, substantive films on the skin are disclosed.
