Abstract: Dry particulate polymeric products, generally spray dried granules, are made by reverse phase polymerization in a partially water miscible continuous phase in the presence of an ionizable stabilizer which is water soluble when ionized and water insoluble when unionized, with the result that all the contamination in the products can be water soluble or miscible. The products are of value as flocculants and viscosifiers, for instance for cosmetic or pharmaceutical clear gels.

Abstract: Compositions comprising an ester with perfluoroalkyl groups and an oligo- or polyurethane which may likewise contain perfluoroalkyl groups are useful for the oil and water repellant finishing of sheetlike textile materials. The compositions may additionally include acrylic polymers having perfluoroalkyl groups and extenders. Especially the use of nonionic aqueous dispersions of the compositions makes it possible to obtain textiles with little if any effect losses after mechanical abrasion and good LAD effects.
