Abstract: An adjustment system for providing toe and/or camber adjustment for a normally fixed wheel of a vehicle using a plate member, in conjunction with portions of the structures of the suspension system of the vehicle, to locate at least one center point for the formation of new aligned openings so that a portion of the control system may be moved from an original location and secured at a new location to provide for the toe and/or camber adjustment.

Abstract: A colorless malt beverage product. To produce the product, malt and water are combined in a mash. An enzyme is preferably added to convert non-fermentable sugars to fermentable sugars. The mash is heated, and liquid extracted therefrom. The liquid is combined with a fermentable carbohydrate to yield a mixture which is boiled and combined with yeast. The resulting yeast-fermented product is decolorized to produce a clear/colorless base which is combined with a sweetener, tartaric acid, a buffer, and a flavoring agent, followed by carbonation until the product is about 0.48-0.57% by weight CO.sub.2. The completed product is clear/colorless, has an alcohol : real extract weight % ratio of 1 : 0.4 to 1 : 1.5, and has 8-15 calories/ounce. These parameters minimize consumer sensations of fullness and excess tartness/sweetness/astringency, while producing desirable taste characteristics and an attractive appearance.

Abstract: A wear shoe for an auger having a pair of spaced apart tapered openings extending therethrough is secured to an auger flight using a tapered nut having an axial extent as the tapered opening and dimensioned to fit into and contact each tapered opening to provide a substantially planar upper surface and a headed threaded bolt. The wear shoe has an arcuate recess formed in the upper surface thereof and a hardened member has an arcuate body portion secured in the arcuate recess.

Abstract: This invention provides an elongated flexible member that is capable of being formed into a plurality of differing shapes so that it can be supported at a variety of locations and has retaining means for retaining it in a desired shape so that a holder connected to one end thereof can hold a flashlight at any desired position relative thereto.

Abstract: A slip pallet formed as a square or rectangular sheet of a plastic material having a central body portion on which a load, such as an array of loaded cardboard boxes, is supported and a plurality of lip portions extending outwardly and upwardly from the central body portion wherein at least the central body portion is provided with a plurality of spaced apart dimples formed in the top surface of the central body portions so that a plurality of spaced apart projections extend downwardly from the bottom surface of the central body portion to provide a cushioning support for the load and wherein at least a portion of each projection is a segment of a sphere. In other embodiments, the dimples are integral solid projections, each of which may be provided with a cavity having an opening in the outer surface thereof.

Abstract: A fall arresting device is provided having fall arresting apparatus which permits application of a force to rotate a shaft in a clockwise direction and permits controlled rotation of the shaft in a counter-clockwise direction but prevents uncontrolled rotation of the shaft in the counter-clockwise direction. Safety apparatus is provided for preventing damage to portions of the arresting apparatus.

Abstract: An apparatus for simultaneously inverting a carton blank and folding end flaps thereon includes a system of endless belts, nip rollers, and inversion guides. A blank passes between a first nip assembly and the belts to be fed upwardly between a pair of guides, and withdrawn downwardly and fed out again inverted second nip assembly cooperating with the belts. Flap folders fold flaps on the blank during the operation.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for applying a coating, such as a lubricant, on at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface of a can body wherein a turret having a plurality of pockets formed in its outer peripheral surface is mounted for rotation about a relatively fixed axis and during the rotation thereof a can body is fed into each pocket. The can body in each pocket is held against the outer peripheral surfaces of a pair of rotating rolls having a space therebetween by a vacuum acting through the space so that the can body is rotated thereby and while rotating is moved against a heated arcuate wick located in a heated arcuate support and having a supply of lubricant therein so as to form a coating of lubricant on the at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface.

Abstract: An auger type ice making apparatus having a discharge section comprising a modified elbow portion and a discharge tube extending outwardly therefrom with pressure applying apparatus mounted on the upper end of the auger for rotation therewith and located in the modified elbow and having a generally cylindrical outer surface immediately adjacent to the upper end of the auger and a generally conical outer surface extending upwardly therefrom and wherein a portion of the inner surface of the modified elbow comprises an oval surface opposite to the generally conical outer surface and wherein a portion of a radially outwardly extended flange on the upper end of the generally conical outer surface is located in an arcuate recess in the oval surface and with at least one cutter extending radially outwardly from the generally cylindrical outer surface. Also, apparatus is provided for distributing the refrigerant for improved performance.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for forming a three dimensional injection molded article having a pair of passageways extending therethrough with a locking indentation in each passagway using first and second mold parts each having open ended cavities having an end wall and a plurality of sidewalls formed therein wherein a pair of fixed arms are mounted on the end wall of the first mold part so that they are spaced from each other and each of the sidewalls have portions extending out of the open ended cavity and have contoured surfaces and wherein a pair of movable arms are mounted on the end wall of the second mold part for rotation about fixed axes and are spaced from each other and from each of the sidewalls and wherein each movable arm has a contoured surface adapted to be moved into a continuous contacting relationship with the contoured surface of one of the fixed arms and when in the contacting relationship to provide protruding portions to form said locking indentations.

Abstract: A rodless cylinder and an external yoke which slides thereover are mounted in a relatively rigid generally tubular support that has a guide rail mounted thereon with a bearing slide mounted for sliding movement over the guide rail and the bearing slide has a work performing tool mounted thereon. The bearing slide is coupled to the external yoke for movement therewith and substantially all torques generated by forces on the work performing tool are absorbed by the bearing slide, the guide rail and the relatively rigid generally tubular support.
