  • Patent number: 7841205
Abstract: A multi cylinder compressor/expansion engine having a centrally mounted drive shaft. A cylinder barrel is mounted on the drive shaft and both the cylinder barrel and the drive shaft rotate about a common axis. There is a plurality of cylinders in the cylinder barrel with pistons disposed in each of the cylinders. Some of the cylinders are compression cylinders and some of the cylinders are expansion cylinders. The compression cylinders discharge a fluid at a first high pressure from the engine. The expansion cylinders receive fluid at a second pressure which provides energy to the engine thereby reducing the energy required for the engine to rotate the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 7794212
Abstract: A pump/compressor that utilizes a wedge at a fixed angle to operate the pump's pistons at a fixed stroke. Alternatively the wedge can be moved axially to increase or decrease the clearance volume. Variable fluid flow at any clearance volume is achieved by rotating the wedge with respect to the port plate thereby changing the timing of the pistons with respect to the fixed port plate which changes the timing of the intake and output cycles. This results in a portion of the intake charge being breathed back into the intake port and a portion of the output charge being breathed back from the outlet port. This causes the pistons to not take in a full charge from the inlet port and to not pump out a full charge into the outlet port. Thus, fluid flow is varied. The design results in a smaller pump as the wedge is supported by the pump housing rather than a mechanical linkage required of prior adjustable angle swashplate designs.

  • Patent number: 7713031
Abstract: A submersible pump apparatus comprising a housing containing all the components of the pump assembly for using the submersible pump apparatus in a body of water. A float or a plurality of floats are attached to the top side of the housing for providing a positive buoyancy to the submersible pump apparatus. The float is provided with a channel for slidably receiving a single weight or a plurality of weights. The weight is used to overcome the positive buoyancy of the float and achieve a negative buoyancy for submerging the submersible pump apparatus to the bottom of the body of water. A sled is attached to the bottom side of the housing and comprises the combination of both legs and feet for supporting the submersible pump apparatus at the bottom of a body of water. A finder float floating at the water surface level is attached using a rope to both the weight and the housing. By removing the weight or weights from the float, a positive buoyancy is restored to raise the submersible pump apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7690974
Abstract: A debris deflector having a proximal end, a distal end, and opposed sides. The debris deflector uses a flexible connecting device for attaching the proximal end to a combine and a rigid connecting device for attaching the distal end to a header of the combine. The flexible connecting device comprises a spring device at each opposed side of the debris deflector adjacent the proximal end having hooks or other device for fastening or connecting to the combine and a rigid member releasably retained by a sleeve at the proximal end of the debris deflector. The rigid connecting device comprises a magnet at each opposed side of the debris deflector adjacent the distal end for magnetically connecting to the header of the combine and a nut and bolt fastener or other device for fastening or connecting the magnet to another rigid member releasably retained by a sleeve at the distal end of the debris deflector.

  • Patent number: 7619533
Abstract: A method and apparatus for monitoring persons for compliance with a conditional release program from their court ordered confinement. The individual to be monitored is added to the system and assigned a schedule or treatment plan which provides for allowed location and disallowed locations. A monitoring device is used to monitor the positional locations and other relevant information of the individual. This information is collected and analyzed in the system to determine if the individual is in compliance with their schedule or treatment plan. Reports of the results of the analysis of the compliance are created and sent to the customer responsible for the individual during their conditional release program.

  • Patent number: 7591039
Abstract: A light weight floor sweeper has a sweeper head mounted to an elongated handle by means of a universal pivot or universal joint which allows the floor sweeper head to easily pivot about the handle in any direction to pick up debris under over hanging cabinets or under furniture. The floor sweeper has sweeping brushes mounted around all four sides of the sweeper head to provide sweeping action when the sweeper is moved in any direction. There are corner brushes extending out from the sides of the sweeper head that reach into corners to sweep debris toward the main sweeping brushes. All of the brushes are powered by a small electric motor that drives the brushes to direct the debris into a dust-receiving tray in the sweeper head. A gasket arrangement keeps dust and debris out of the gear housings located at each of the corners of the sweeper head regardless of the direction in which the sweeper head is moving.

  • Patent number: 7591769
Abstract: An exercise equipment apparatus for isolating lower back muscles. The apparatus or device comprises main tubular support posts, secondary tubular support posts, and support feet for providing the foundation of the device. Inner tubular extensions and setting pins are used to adjust the height and length of the device to accommodate the particular size and the proper positioning of the user for the angle of strengthening desired. A removeable torso support is releaseably attached or coupled to one of the main tubular support posts. An angular setting guide is used to select or set the desired angle of use and an articulating lever attached to the removeable torso support provides an arm for stopping or setting the removeable torso support at the selected angle of use by the user.
