  • Patent number: 6554678
Abstract: A sculptural toy or building block designed and adapted to be joined to other identical sculptural toys or building blocks to create infinite figures and shapes. The sculptural toy or building block is an elongated member that is comprised of five portions: two legs, two feet, and an opening. Each leg is provided with a foot at its distal end and is separated from the other leg by the opening located in the center of the elongated toy member. The legs, feet, and opening are linearly oriented in the same plane with each formed into rectangular or square configurations. The leg configurations also include slots that extend along the entire length of the leg. The feet of one toy member can be received at various angles along the slots in the legs of another toy member. Also, the leg of one toy member can be slidably received into the opening of another toy member.

  • Patent number: 6470807
Abstract: A turntable and drive system for transporting parts from a first location to a second location. The turntable is mounted on a vertical shaft and has shock absorbing means located between the vertical shaft and the turntable to absorb horizontal forces on the turntable such as forklifts striking the turntable. There is a drive system that is mounted adjacent to the turntable for imparting a rotational force to the turntable. The drive system is mounted on a moveable plate that moves with the movement of the turntable so that the drive system remains in contact with the turntable at all times.

  • Patent number: 6457842
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a string of miniature holiday lights in which the string of lights is provided with a miniature light switch. The light string has a plurality of miniature sockets electrically connected in series. The switch is mounted in one of the sockets and can turn on and off the lamps connected in series on that string of lights. The switch and lamps have substantially identical bases that are received in the sockets so that the switch is interchangeable with any of the lamps allowing the switch to be placed anywhere along the light string. This gives the user the ability to control a string of lights without unplugging the string of lights from the power source. It also allows the user to place the switch in a convenient location along the light string.

  • Patent number: 6446299
Abstract: A hand held cleaning device that has a self wringing mechanism for extracting liquids from a sponge mounted at the end of an elongated handle. A sleeve is mounted on the handle and slides from a first position to a second position. When moved to the second position, it operates a wringing assembly mounted on a lever mechanism. There is a second cleaning element mounted on a moveable frame member that pivots and wrings the liquid from the sponge and moves the second cleaning element over the first cleaning element. In this second position, the moveable frame is positioned between the sponge and the second cleaning element with the second cleaning element contacting the surface to be cleaned.

  • Patent number: 6375201
Abstract: Provided is a sulky in which an operator platform is attached to a hitch arm through the interconnection of a vertical pivot tube and an essentially C-shaped clevis. The vertical pivot tube is secured to the clevis by a vertical pivot pin and hinge. The clevis counter balances and leverages the forces and loads that are applied to the vertical pivot pin while the sulky is in operation and, thereby, prevents the unnecessary anomalies and structural failures of the vertical pivot pin. Alternate embodiments detailing alternate clevis configurations are also presented.

  • Patent number: 6307193
Abstract: A cooking vessel with a unique adjustable ventilation system for cooking various foods and obtaining desired tastes. The cooking vessel has a lid and a base with a free standing rack located in the bottom of the base. The lid is designed with an ventilation system that traverses an upper ventilation cap with either a lower ventilation cap or, alternatively, a recess to enable the positional alignment of ventilation holes in the upper ventilation cap to the ventilation holes in the lower ventilation cap or, alternatively, recess to permit the proper degree of steam to be released from the cooking vessel while retaining the proper amount of moisture to effectively cook the food.

  • Patent number: 6267483
Abstract: A horticultural light apparatus that reduces heat transmitted to plants that are being illuminated is provided. The Inventive Device includes a hollow, transparent, cylindrical tube, preferably made of glass. The tube is open at both ends and adapted to receive spigot members, the spigot members also being open ended. A support bracket to mount a lightbulb is affixed to at least one of the spigots. A reflector is also installed on the interior of the tube. In use, a lightbulb is inserted into the tube and secured by the spigots. Because of the open ends, air can flow through the tube, thus eliminating over-heating of the lightbulb. The glass absorbs much of the radiant heat generated by the lightbulb while emitting substantially all of the light generated by the lightbulb. The reflector directs the light in a generally downward direction. Means for suspending the Device are also included.
