  • Patent number: 8181666
Abstract: A switch valve having a long span of life is provided. The switch valve 70 of the present invention has a low-melting-point metal 76 having a surface on which a blocking member contacts, with the low-melting-point metal 76 melted, thereby a closed state appears in which an inner space of the switch valve 70 is split up into an inner space and an outer space of the blocking member 72. When the inner space and the outer space of the blocking member 72 are connected in the inner space of the switch valve 70, outside devices are blocked from each other in the closed state. The outside devices are connected to each other in an opened state in which the lower end of the blocking member 72 is spaced away from the low-melting-point metal 76.

  • Patent number: 8182599
Abstract: A configuration in which particles of pitch 2 having a softening point in the range of 70 to 200° C. and a diameter equal to or smaller than 30 ?m are held on the surfaces of particles of a refractory raw material 3 having a diameter equal to or smaller than 50 ?m is employed. This pitch-containing refractory raw material 1 can be used with the pitch being in a fine-particle form without any aggregation even after the long-term storage. Using it as a part of a raw material formulation allows the fine particles of pitch to be uniformly dispersed during the mixing or kneading process. The resulting carbon-containing refractory has an excellent corrosion resistance. It also provides suppressed increase in the Young's modulus while maintaining the level of strength, thereby being excellent in thermal spalling resistance even with the carbon content ratio being low.

  • Patent number: 8176627
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a wiring substrate, first, a structure in which an underlying layer is arranged in a wiring forming area of a temporary substrate and a peelable multi-layer metal foil that is larger in size than the underlying layer is arranged on the underlying layer and is adhered partially to an outer peripheral portion of the wiring forming area, is obtained. The peelable multi-layer metal foil is constructed by temporary adhering a first metal foil and a second metal foil with peelable. Then, a built-up wiring layer is formed on the peelable multi-layer metal foil, and the peelable multi-layer metal foil is separated from the temporary substrate by cutting a portion corresponding to a peripheral portion of the underlying layer, to obtain a wiring member in which the built-up wiring layer is formed on the peelable multi-layer metal foil.

  • Patent number: 8171876
Abstract: The present invention provides applicators reducing generating bubble. Dispersion liquid is supplied while the pressure of a circulation tank on the delivery side is lower than the atmospheric pressure but higher than the pressure of the space in buffer tanks. The dispersion liquid in the discharge chambers is recovered while the pressure in a circulation tank serving as recovery destination is lower than the atmospheric pressure. Gas dissolution can be reduced because the dispersion liquid does not come into contact with gases at pressures higher than the atmospheric pressure and engulffing gas or deformation of solid microparticles can be avoided because no pump is used.

  • Patent number: 8167417
Abstract: The backing pressure of an ink tank is controlled. The ink tank is connected to a pressure control apparatus. The pressure control apparatus has first and second check valves. When the internal pressure of the ink tank becomes smaller than that of outside atmosphere by a first predetermined pressure or more, the first check valve is switched into an open state to connect the outside atmosphere and the ink tank. To the contrary, when the internal pressure of the ink tank becomes larger than that of outside atmosphere by a second predetermined pressure or more, the second check valve is switched to an open state to connect the ink tank with the outside atmosphere. Therefore, the internal pressure of the ink tank is controlled precisely enough to stabilize the meniscus.

  • Patent number: 8169864
Abstract: Provided is an actuator for a pickup, in which end parts of a plurality of suspensions (550A to 550F) of five or more are positioned on a virtual circle (X) formed on a plane by being projected onto the plane including both a focusing direction and a tracking direction. A rolling center (O) defined as a center of the virtual circle (X) is made to coincide with all three, two, or one of a center (Os) of the gravity of a lens holder (600), a center (Os) of the drive force of the lens holder (600), and a center (Os) of the translational force of the suspensions (550A to 550F). Since the rolling center (O) coincides with all three, two, or one of those centers (Os), a rotational moment is not generated on the lens holder (600) and, therefore, generation of unnecessary resonance can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 8162455
Abstract: The back pressure of an ink tank is controlled. A porous body is arranged inside the ink tank, the lower end of the porous body contacts an ink, and the ink ascends inside the porous body due to a capillary force. The upper end of the porous body is not immersed in the ink, and a maximum ascending force acts upon the ink stored in the ink tank. Therefore, the ink does not leak from a discharge head located lower than the ink tank. Further, because the ink is accumulated under the porous body and the amount of the ink contacting the porous body is small, components of the ink are less susceptible to deterioration.
