  • Patent number: 8287758
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel fluorescent material which has a luminance higher than that of the conventional rare earth ion-dispersed fluorescent materials and is excellent in light resistance and long-term stability, and also an optical device, such as a high-luminance display panel or lighting equipment, which uses such a fluorescent material. Semiconductor ultrafine particles are characterized by maintaining 50% or more fluorescence quantum yield of photoluminescence when they are kept dispersed in water at 10° C. to 20° C. in air for 5 days. The fluorescent material is obtained by dispersing such semiconductor ultrafine particles in a glass matrix using a sol-gel process.

  • Patent number: 8286318
Abstract: An assembling method that is high in assembly accuracy and easily performed at the actual installation site is provided. In this method, the sub base plates on the sub mounting tables are aligned with respect to a main base plate on a main mounting table at a temporary installation site, and the state thereof is maintained. Then, the main mounting table and the sub mounting tables are separated from each other to be transferred to the actual installation site, and the positioning state is restored at the actual installation site. Since a positional alignment can be performed at the temporary installation site, the work required at the actual installation site can be reduced. Furthermore, since a fine adjustment can be performed at the actual installation site, the accuracy in the positional alignment can be improved.

  • Patent number: 8279921
Abstract: A moving image reproducing apparatus (10) includes a video encoder (18). The video encoder (18) reproduces a moving image including a partial moving image having a frame rate different from a reference frame rate at the reference frame rate. A CPU (26) calculates a difference value between a first frame count required to reproduce the partial moving image in real time and a second frame count obtained by performing periodic frame interpolation processing on the partial moving image. The CPU (26) dispersively executes frame thinning-out processing on the moving image at the number of times corresponding to the calculated difference value. The CPU (26) further executes frame interpolation processing on the partial moving image at the number of times corresponding to the second frame count.
