Abstract: The present invention provides a method of treating obesity in mammals, particularly humans. The method comprises the step of administering a dietary supplement that includes about 25 mg to about 10 g calcium carbonate precipitate; about 25 mg to about 10 g coral calcium; about 10 mg to about 10 g magnesium carbonate; about 10 mg to about 5 g potassium carbonate; a plurality of vitamins, including Vitamin C; and a plurality of amino acids.
Abstract: A dual stage inflator 10 utilizes a housing 12 having two supplemental propellant combustion chambers 16 and 26, both symmetrically oriented within a primary propellant combustion chamber 34. Chambers 16 and 26 are formed to be substantially equivalent in dimensions and volume thereby simplifying the assembly and manufacturing process.
Abstract: An airbelt inflator (10) is provided for supplying and directing gas from the combustion of pyrotechnic materials into an inflatable safety belt or airbag. The airbelt inflator (10) includes a substantially cylindrical body (12). One or more ledges (26, 42) are defined by the junctions of inner walls (34, 36, and 38) wherein each ledge (26, 42) functions to retain an inner inflator component. In another aspect of the invention, an enhancer disc (56) features a metallic density greater than an associated filter (48) whereby tailoring of the density of the metallic disc (56) facilitates a quick and easy method of modifying the gas flow exiting the inflator (10).
Abstract: A mortar grouting type joint for reinforcing bars is provided, which comprises a hollow cylindrical body having an opening cover (2) at an end, a bolt hole (8) on the side wall, and a supporting protrusion (5) on the inner peripheral wall, adapted to support reinforcing bars (12) with a bolt (13) and the supporting protrusion (5), wherein the supporting protrusion (5) consists of a pair of thin-walled members extending in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the hollow cylindrical body, and each thin-walled member has a ridge line (7) sloping toward the opening cover (2), with the portion of the thin-walled member supporting the reinforcing bar (12) inserted through the opening cover (2) constituting the apex, whereby the reinforcing bar to be inserted can be automatically guided to the position coaxial with the joint, said joint being suitable for performing connection of a number of sets of bare reinforcing bars such as connection of reinforcing bar structures.
Abstract: A container (10) for stackable articles includes a base assembly (20), a plurality of side assemblies (30), a top assembly (70), and a plurality of shelf assemblies (50). The base assembly (20), side assemblies (50), and top assembly (70) are preferably constructed of a multiple layer, corrugated laminate, and are attachable to one another, defining an interior storage space (45). Each shelf assembly (50) includes a plurality of shelf support blocks (52) with a plurality of face sections (53) distributed along a length (37), and a shelf flap (54). The shelf assemblies (50) are secured to the sidewall assemblies (30), and positioned in the storage space (45) to engage manufactured articles, for example sunroofs, positioned therein.
