  • Patent number: 7422507
Abstract: A toy figure assembly and its method of manufacture. The toy figure has a body structure with an exposed exterior. The exposed exterior of the figure includes at least one first section of fabric material and at least one second section of elastomeric gel material that are joined together along at least one common seam. The common seam can be closed using adhesive, heat bonding or sewing. The sections of the toy figure defined by fabric material are filled with dry fill. The sections of the toy figure defined by elastomeric gel material can be filled with either dry fill or a fluid fill. By forming a toy figure from both fabric material and elastomeric gel, a toy figure is obtained that has external areas having contrasting tactile characteristics, thereby increasing the play value of the toy figure.

  • Patent number: 7407529
Abstract: A system and method of purifying hydrogen gas. The system includes heating elements for heating the hydrogen diffusion cell to a predetermined operational temperature. A preheater is provided for heating unpurified gases that will enter the hydrogen diffusion cell. The unpurified gases are heated to the operational temperature of the hydrogen diffusion cell before entering the hydrogen diffusion cell. In this manner, the inflow of unpurified gases into the hydrogen diffusion cell does not cause any thermal shock to the hydrogen diffusion cell. The incoming unpurified gases are heated in two ways. The unpurified gases are heated in a preheater. The unpurified gases are also heated in a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger recycles the heat from the purified hydrogen gas.

  • Patent number: 7407228
Abstract: A system for mounting a seat to the front of a gaming machine. A base platform is provided that has a front edge. At least one hole is disposed in the base platform proximate its front edge. A seat is attached to the base platform utilizing a vertical column. The vertical column is adjustable in height between a fully extended position and a fully retracted position. The vertical column holds the seat in a position facing the gaming machine. However, when the vertical column is in its fully retracted position, the seat can be turned ninety degrees to facilitate a person entering or exiting the seat. A locking mechanism joins the base platform to the gaming machine. Authorized personnel can only open the locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7408464
Abstract: A system and method for identifying stolen component parts contained within a product and/or identifying the origin of a component part. To utilize the system, an integrated transmitter assembly is attached to at least some component parts within a product. Each of the integrated transponder assemblies transmits an identification code. In a database, the identification codes of the integrated transponder assemblies are recorded along with the identification of the assembly into which they were originally installed. Products in the marketplace are periodically scanned. As products are scanned, the integrated transponders contained in those products transmit their identification codes. The identification codes are read and compared to the data in a database. If a scan reveals a component part listed as stolen, an indication is provided.

  • Patent number: 7396385
Abstract: A hydrogen purification system that is used to separate hydrogen gas from a source gas. The hydrogen purification system has a hydrogen separator into which the source gas is permitted to flow. Within the hydrogen separator is at least one hydrogen permeable tube that is made of a hydrogen permeable material. A support tube is provided for each hydrogen permeable tube. A support tube is coaxially aligned with the hydrogen permeable tube, wherein a gap space exists between the hydrogen permeable tube and the support tube in an area of overlap. The source gas is introduced into the gap space. The source gas spreads thinly over the hydrogen permeable tube in the gap space. Hydrogen from the source gas passes through the hydrogen permeable tube in a highly efficient manner and is collected.

  • Patent number: 7396321
Abstract: A pouch packaging machine and method of selectively changing the orientation of a pouch packaging machine. The pouch packaging machine has at least one spool for holding at least one roll of packaging film material. The packaging film material advance through a press that joins the packaging film material together to form a pouch. The spools and press are supported on a common housing. The housing has a plurality of sides. Identical mounts are disposed on at least some of the sides of the housing. A base platform is provided. The mounts on the various sides of the housing are all configured to engage the base platform. This enables the housing of the pouch packaging machine to attach to the base platform in one of a multitude of possible orientations.

  • Patent number: 7395763
Abstract: An assembly and method for cleaning the barrel of a pneumatic gun, such as a paintball marker. A supply magazine is provided that contains a plurality of loading ports. Each loading port is filled with a cleaning projectile. The supply magazine is attached to a pneumatic gun so that the supply magazine is interposed between the breach chamber of the pneumatic gun and its barrel. When a projectile is fired from the pneumatic gun, the projectile displaces a cleaning projectile from the supply magazine and advances the cleaning projectile through the barrel. The passage of the cleaning projectile and the accompanying paintball cleans any fouling from the barrel of the pneumatic gun.

  • Patent number: 7393456
Abstract: A new settlement tank and its associated method of operation. The settlement tank has side surfaces and a bottom surface that define a tank of a predetermined volume. A trough is disposed in the bottom surface of the tank. At least one outlet port communicates with the trough. A press assembly is provided that includes a press head and an actuator for selectively advancing the press head into the trough. In operation, the settlement tank is filled with material that includes liquids and solids. The heavy solids are permitted to settle at the bottom of the tank. The solids are then collected in the trough. Once solids are in the trough, the press assembly is used to compact and concentrate the solids within the trough. Once concentrated, the outlet port is opened and the contents of the trough are flushed out of the settlement tank.

  • Patent number: 7389750
Abstract: A leash and collar system for a pet, having a unique coupling that can be quickly attached and detached with one hand, even while the coupling is pulled in tension. The coupling has a female section and a male section that selectively interconnect. The female section defines a receptacle for receiving the male section. A magnet is disposed within the receptacle at its base. The male section has an internal plunger element that selectively moves between a forward position and a rearward piston. When the male section is inserted into the female section, the plunger element is magnetically attracted to the magnet in the receptacle. The magnet pulls the plunger element into its forward position. Locking elements protrude from the male section when the internal plunger element is in its forward position. The locking elements prevent the male section from being retracted out of the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 7387082
Abstract: A feeding bowl assembly for a pet. The feeding bowl assembly has a housing, wherein an internal bowl structure is formed within the housing. The internal bowl structure has an open rim along its top. A lid is provided that is sized to cover the internal bowl structure over the open rim. A storage compartment is disposed within the housing. The storage compartment is located above the bottom of the housing and below the internal bowl structure. The storage compartment is accessible through an access opening in the housing. Both the storage compartment and the access opening are sized to receive the lid. The lid can therefore be stored within the bowl assembly when the lid is not in use. While being stored, the lid is protected from the contents of the bowl and anything that might spill out of the bowl.

  • Patent number: 7388541
Abstract: A broadcast digital transmission (BDT) receiver, computer-readable media, and associated method for receiving and processing of BDT signals from a plurality of transmitters. A BDT receiver includes an antenna to intercept broadcast radio signals and an analog front-end to down-convert it to a suitable frequency for digitization. A baseband signal processor acquires and tracks designated codes in BDT signals using a generalized correlator to produce time of arrival measurements thereof. A data processor, coupled to the baseband signal processor and with input from an auxiliary sensor and a digital database, first calibrates time offsets of said transmitters relative to the BDT receiver's time base and then operates on offset-adjusted time of arrival measurements to produce a position solution.
