  • Patent number: 7290655
Abstract: A carrying case assembly for a power tool and the method of interconnecting the carrying case with the power tool. The carrying case has a plurality of sides that define an internal area. An attachment mechanism is disposed within the case along a first side. The attachment mechanism receives and retains the power tool. A slot is formed in the first side of the carrying case. The cutting element of the power tool extends through the slot and extends out of the carrying case. Power is provided within the carrying case to operate the power tool within the carrying case. Work guides are provided on the exterior of the carrying case that are used to help move material against the cutting element that extends out of the carrying case from the power tool.

  • Patent number: 7287310
Abstract: A method of forming a rotating blade for a cutting machine that can attach to either symmetrical arbors or asymmetrical arbors. The arbor mounting hole has five sides arranged in a cut gem configuration. The arbor mounting hole is symmetrical on either side of a mid-line. However, the mid-line of the arbor mounting hole need not pass through the geometric center of the blade. Inserts are provided. The inserts fit into the arbor mounting hole. Each of the inserts defines an aperture for receiving a drive arbor of a different configuration. The apertures are off-set in the inserts, to compensate for the off-set arbor mounting hole, so that the apertures are disposed at the geometric center of the blade when any insert is placed in the arbor mounting hole.

  • Patent number: 7276931
Abstract: A system and method for replacing a malfunctioning logic device with a substitute logic device. The system provides a replacement assembly that contains a complex programmable logic device, a programming port and a pin configuration. The pin configuration selected matches the pin configuration of the malfunctioning logic device being replaced. The programming port on the replacement assembly is attached to a computer. Using software on the computer, the complex programmable logic device can be programmed with the same logic functions as were present within the malfunctioning logic device. Consequently, a single replacement assembly can be used to replace hundreds of different types of logic devices. This provided a cost efficient manner to produce replacements for obsolete logic devices that are no longer commercially available.

  • Patent number: 7273048
Abstract: A cutting machine for cutting material from a crack that is present in a paved surface. The cutting machine has a circular cutting blade. The cutting blade has an axis of rotation and a mid-axis that is perpendicular to the axis of rotation. A wheeled platform is provided having wheels that are configured and oriented to cause the wheeled platform to turn about a predetermined point when the wheeled platform turns. A mounting arbor is supported under the wheeled platform. The mounting arbor retains the circular cutting blade in a position where its mid-axis generally aligns with the predetermined point around which the wheeled platform turns. The mid-axis of the cutting blade therefore remains in a fixed position when the wheeled platform is turned in a new direction. This allows the cutting blade to remain within the paved surface.

  • Patent number: 7264011
Abstract: An assembly having an umbrella and a mounting bracket for mounting the umbrella to a vertical object. The mounting bracket engages the top of the umbrella, thereby suspending the umbrella from a position above the umbrella. The umbrella has a finial cap at the top of the umbrella. Part of the finial cap extends out above the canopy of the umbrella. This portion of the finial cap is selectively received by the shaped head of the mounting bracket. The finial cap is annular and defines a central opening through which the support post of the umbrella can pass. When the umbrella is opened, the support post extends out through the finial cap above the canopy. The result is a mounting umbrella with nothing protruding below the umbrella.

  • Patent number: 7258876
Abstract: A topically applied composition that is used to treat infections caused by pathogenic organisms. The composition contains melaleuca alternifolia extract oil to reduce the present population of the pathogenic organisms at the infection site. The composition also contains an immunostimulant that strengthens the immuno-response of the infected tissue in the area of application. The composition also includes an antioxidant that scavenges free radicals in the infected tissue and helps inhibit free radical damage. By combining these active ingredients in a carrier that can be topically applied, a composition is created that treats most every type of infection caused by pathogenic organisms with little or no side effects.

  • Patent number: 7255609
Abstract: A connector assembly for connecting a wire lead to a biomedical electrode. The connector assembly has a base housing. A metal conductor is disposed within the base housing. The metal conductor is formed from a single piece of sheet metal, wherein the metal conductor has a flat front section and a rear section that is curved into at least one spring structure. A lever is provided that has a front end and a tail end. A locking pawl extends from the lever and locks the snap connection in place. The locking pawl can be released by pressing inwardly on the sides of the base housing. When the sides of the base housing are pressed together, wedge elements advance under the lever and lift the front of the lever. The result is a release mechanism that applied only a minimal amount of lateral forces to the biomedical electrode.

  • Patent number: 7237936
Abstract: A lighting assembly and its method of manufacture. The lighting assembly has a heat sink. A plurality of surfaces are disposed on the front of the heat sink. At least one first surface is oriented in a first plane and at least one second surface is oriented in a second plane. A first plurality of light sources are mounted to at least one first surface. A second plurality of light sources are mounted to at least one second surface. As a consequence, light can be directed in two distinct directions to create a discernable high beam condition and low beam condition. A space is defined in front of the light sources. At least one heat exchange element is provided that protrudes forward from a heat sink into the space thereby helping to vaporize any condensation that may form within that space.

  • Patent number: 7226402
Abstract: An exercise device for exercising the major muscle groups of the middle and lower torso. The exercise device has a self-standing framework that includes a vertical post. A cross beam is provided that has two ends and a middle section. The middle section of the cross beam is connected to the vertical post with a pivot connection. The pivot connection enables the cross beam to move relative to the vertical post throughout a predetermined range of motion. A person exercises by grabbing and pulling a handle. The handle is attached to at least one resistance element. By adjusting the orientation of the cross beam, the handles and resistance elements can be selectively positioned at various heights and at various offset orientations relative to a support platform.

  • Patent number: 7223150
Abstract: An internally illuminated toy having a flexible body that is made from an elastomeric gel. The flexible body defines an internal chamber that is accessible through a small access opening. An electronics module is provided that contains a light source. The electronics module is inserted into the internal chamber of the flexible body by hyper-extending the access opening. Once inside the internal chamber, the access opening elastically contracts and the electronics module is trapped within the flexible body. When activated, the electronics module illuminates, thereby internally illuminating the flexible body of the toy.

  • Patent number: 7183743
Abstract: A recharging system for portable electronic devices that have specialized recharging ports and accept only specifically shaped connectors. The recharging system includes a plug connector for engaging an external power source. A generic terminal connector is also provided. A wire cord is used to connect the plug connector and the terminal connector. At least one adaptor is provided. Each adaptor has a receptacle and a specialized connector. The receptacle selectively receives and electrically interconnects with the generic terminal connector. The specialized connector on the adaptor selectively engages the portable electronic device, therein electrically interconnecting the portable electronic device to the generic terminal connector. The portable electronic device is then recharged by the flow of electricity through the generic terminal connector.
