Abstract: A multi-beam acoustic transducer array system for producing color enhanced, three dimensional, high resolution images of a ship's underwater hull, wherein the acoustic transducers can be mounted in orthogonal pairs, each pair being positioned opposite from another pair within a shipping channel. The array can be utilized either in a stationary configuration within a controlled shipping lane or suspended in the water column from a mobile support vessel, with at least one array being orthogonally mounted and suspended in the water column from the mobile support vessel, wherein the mobile configuration obviates the need for multiple orthogonal arrays, for purposes of performing acquisition and imaging of a ship's hull. Each orthogonal array consists of a first transducer transmitting sonar pulses along a horizontal plane and a second transducer transmitting sonar pulses along a vertical plane, such that the two beaming sonar pulses are orthogonal, thereby providing optimal coverage.
Abstract: A first and second housing is joined together by a middle housing rotatable with respect to the first and second housing. The first and second housings have conduits passing through exterior walls and an annular ring on an inside wall together with an annular interior edge rotatably joined to first and second side rim channels of the middle housing. A heat-moisture exchanger material having an annular opening through which a tube passes is mounted within the middle housing so that in a first rotatable position air and moisture passes through the first and second housing conduits directly and in a second rotatable position must pass through the heat-moisture exchange material.

Abstract: A computerized information system for analyzing labor market information comprising: a server having a plurality of categorizing and processing services for researchers, employers, staff, and the like; a database of standard and proprietary format data and optional stored procedures operatively coupled with the server; and a plurality of input/output client devices operatively coupled with the server.
Abstract: An electrostatic speaker system is provided wherein a multitude of speakers are provided in the system, each speaker having a thin electrically conductive film membrane sandwiched between a pair of stator plates. The film membrane is directly coupled to a high voltage AC audio signal emanating from a power amplifier for reproducing an audio signal. The high voltage AC audio signal is not applied to the stator plates but instead indirectly coupled to the pair of stators by a plurality of condensers (in a voltage multiplier circuit) of a electrical circuit contained within each speaker of the system. By applying the high voltage AC audio signal to the film membrane, approximately one-quarter of the voltage typically used to drive an electrostatic speaker is required.
Abstract: A marine vessel corrosion control system contemplates redundant protection for a marine vessel against the effects of galvanic corrosion. The vessel is equipped with typical zinc anodes interconnected together and attached to metallic components to be protected from galvanic corrosion. A reference electrode immersed in the water provides signals to a control box representative of electrode voltage as compared to an internal stabilized voltage standard. The control box compares the reference electrode voltage with the internal stabilized voltage standard and feeds current through a hull mounted anode into the water and through the submerged metal parts of the vessel. A relay allows selective interruption of the connection between the passive zincs and the vessel ground and selective closing of that circuit.
Abstract: A C-ring clips to an edge of tableware. The C-ring has a rearwardly extending shaft supporting a ball. A gripping device rotates on the ball and supports a shelf. A fixture capable of displaying an ornament or name card is attached to the shelf.
Abstract: A method for measuring a flow rate of a medium through a measuring tube which is penetrated by a constant magnetic field orthogonal to a flow direction and in which an electrical voltage building up in the medium is sensed by electrodes, insulted with respect to the medium and located on an outer wall of the measuring tube in a plane orthogonal to the flow direction of the medium, in which the capacitance of at least one capacitive unit is formed by the electrodes, and a measuring tube interior area and a charge change brought about by a change to the at least one capacitive is determined, and from this a voltage is established which is determinative of the flow rate of the medium through the measuring tube.
Abstract: A wind energy installation having a tower, a gondola supported by the tower, a rotor mounted in the gondola, and at least one pressure pump that is mechanically driven by the rotor and that feeds a raw water-treating reverse osmosis plant, the components of the reverse osmosis plant being arranged within the tower.
Abstract: A standard door lock is connected through a bore in a door to a lock brace mechanism mounted on a fixed vertical plate on an inside surface of the door. A slide bar moves within a vertical slot in the fixed plate. Gearing within the brace mechanism turns a threaded rod at a 4:1 ratio to move a middle housing threaded to the rod in a downward direction to deploy a brace leg outwardly. By turning the brace mechanism in a reverse direction the brace leg is retracted to a position abutting the inside surface of the door.
Abstract: A graduated optic tape is mounted on a steering wheel component and is read by an optical sensor. The sensor is electrically connected to a first and second timer and a buzzer for alerting a driver when the steering wheel in a moving vehicle is not turned for five to ten seconds. A DC power supply provides electrical energy. The system is connected to the vehicle brake light so that the buzzer does not sound when the brake is engaged.
Abstract: A rotor shaft/hub unit for a wind energy plant with a rotor shaft provided with a rotor bearing seat which is connected to a rotor hub provided with a blade or blade bearing connection, the rotor hub and rotor shaft are manufactured in one piece from bonded fiber fabrics.
Abstract: A wax core is dipped multiple times in liquid clear wax and water sequentially. Thereafter, the candle is dipped multiple times in a liquid pigmented wax to form a first pigmented layer. When the desired shade is achieved, one or more layers of clear wax is added. The cooled pigmented wax layer with a clear layer on top is then dipped in water multiple times to produce a primed surface layer at ±1 degree ambient. The candle is now rubbed to assist the peeling of any layer over the primed surface. Multiple layers of clear wax are then added followed by a second pigmented wax. The process is repeated for as many pigmented wax layers as desired. The final candle has a glaze outer layer applied by dipping.
Abstract: An annular pan for mounting over a drum lid containing a liquid, the drum top having a hole for a pump conduit and an air hole. The annular pan has multiple parallel elongated walls increasing in height from the pump conduit to a portion of the pan containing a drain hole axially aligned with the drum lid air hole. The drain hole contains a filter for preventing particles from entering the drum. A raised edge of the pan above a top surface of the pan has an indentation for receipt of the pump conduit.
