  • Patent number: 8352055
Abstract: A method for implementing production processes includes a step of programming a state machine for each production process. The programming step includes a definition of a plurality of states and a definition of a plurality of transitions between states, corresponding to possible actions which the corresponding production process may execute. The programming step further includes the steps of detecting whether or not one or more states to be defined for a state machine have already been defined for state machines already programmed for other production processes, and executing the definition of states only for states not detected in the detecting step.

  • Patent number: 8351233
Abstract: In the method for closed-loop control of at least two converters in an energy transmission and/or distribution system, each rectifier regulator and each inverter regulator provides a differential DC voltage from the difference between a given set DC voltage and the relevant received measured DC voltage, and also provides a differential DC current from a differential DC current from the difference between a set DC current and the corresponding received measured DC current. Each converter is a self-commutated converter with power semiconductors. The rectifier regulation of the provided converter is regulated such that the sum of the product of the differential voltages and the value of given set DC current at the corresponding rectifier and the differential current is a minimum. The inverter regulation regulates the corresponding inverter such that the sum between the differential voltage and the differential current is a minimum.

  • Patent number: 8345815
Abstract: A fuel assembly for a pressurized water nuclear reactor contains a multiplicity of fuel rods which are guided in a plurality of axially spaced spacers which in each case form a square grid, composed of grid webs, with a multiplicity of cells arranged in rows and columns. In each case one control rod guide tube is guided through a number of these cells. At least one spacer is configured to be mechanically stronger in a first partial region than in a second partial region. In this second partial region, the spacer is provided with at least one resisting element which protrudes into a flow sub-channel formed between the fuel rods and increases the flow resistance. The resisting element counteracts a reduction associated with the mechanically weaker configuration, in the flow resistance in the second partial region and in this manner effects a homogenization of the hydraulic behavior of a spacer which is mechanically inhomogeneous on account of the varying mechanical configuration.

  • Patent number: 8345904
Abstract: In hearing devices, more particularly in hearing aids, it is desirable to be able to design an earpiece for generating sound in the audible range which is as small as possible. Such an earpiece can then be worn comfortably on an ear or in an auditory canal. A sound transducer for the hearing device disclosed here may be formed as a micro-electromechanical system and the transducer enables generation of an acoustic signal with little distortion. Provision is made for a hearing device with a sound transducer, which has a field generation apparatus for generating an electric or magnetic field and an emission apparatus for generating sound. Here, the emission apparatus has a multiplicity of fingers that are penetrated by the field of the field generation apparatus, wherein the shape of the fingers can be changed by means of the field of the field generation apparatus in order to generate the sound.

  • Patent number: 8346407
Abstract: A method for assigning a first motor vehicle to a second motor vehicle by exchanging electromagnetic signals. The electromagnetic signals are transmitted from the first motor vehicle in a predetermined temporal signal pattern and received by the second motor vehicle, where they are compared as to whether the received electromagnetic signals correspond to a signal pattern stored in the second motor vehicle. The first motor vehicle then is assigned as a function of the comparison. This method is particularly suited to assigning trailers to a towing vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8341596
Abstract: A method control for the re-execution of a rule branch in a rule represented by a graphic flowchart in a MES system. At developing time there is defined a recycle step which includes a conditional expression to be customized. Each time it is executed in run time, the status of the recycle step is set by the execution engine as “active” until the set of steps of the rule branch that follows is executed and then the recycle step status is set as “non-active.” At run time, the execution engine keeps waiting any request of executing a certain recycle step that is in “active” status and when the execution engine executes a certain recycle step, it sets the status of the set of steps of the rule branch as “non already-executed”. As the execution engine executes a step that is not a recycle step, it sets the status of the executed step to “already-executed” status and ignores the execution of these steps.
