  • Patent number: 8059972
Abstract: A data signal to be transmitted is supplied to a modulator of a transmitter, and the modulator modulates the output of a blue light-excited white LED and outputs blue LED light and phosphor light. The modulated blue light enters to a photo-electric converter through an LED light transmission color filter. The modulated phosphor light on the other hand enters to another photo-electric converter through a phosphor light transmission color filter. The photo-electric converters convert incident light to electric signals. The converted signals are amplified by amplifiers. Then, equalizers emphasize the harmonic component therein according to the response characteristic of the blue light and the response characteristic of the phosphor light for reduction of the dullness of waveforms.

Abstract: A multilayer inductor having a uniformly improved direct current superposition property and an increased inductance value is disclosed. The multilayer inductor contains a laminate of a plurality of first insulating layers and a plurality of conductive layers, and the conductive layers and through hole conductors are connected to form a helical coil in the laminate. A second insulating layer which has a magnetic permeability lower than those of the first insulating layers is disposed such that it crosses an inner magnetic path of the helical coil, and a margin of the second insulating layer overlaps with the conductive layer in the stacking direction and is in contact with the conductive layer in the overlap portion. The magnetic flux density in the laminate is likely to be highest in the overlap portion, and thus, the highest-density magnetic flux passes through the second insulating layer inevitably, whereby the direct current superposition property can be uniformly improved.

  • Patent number: 7903535
Abstract: There is provided a new medium structure to record a bar code for copyright protection or the like in an optical information recording medium capable of recording and reproducing information by a laser with respect to a dye. When a laser beam 30 is irradiated and an optical disc 10 is rotation in the direction of an arrow F, the dye of a recording layer is decomposed, a mark piece MA of a bar code 20 is formed, and a substrate is deformed by heat generated by the dye decomposition. Next, the position of the laser beam 30 is shifted to a position where a part overlaps with the mark piece MA, and when the optical disc is similarly rotated in the direction of the arrow F, a mark piece MB is formed to overlap with the mark piece MA. The above processing is repeated, so that the length of a bar is sequentially lengthened, and the bar code with a length along the standard is formed.

  • Patent number: 7884300
Abstract: A method of realizing selective separation of metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes and semiconducting carbon nanotubes from bundled carbon nanotubes; and obtaining of metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes separated at high purity through the above method. Metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes are dispersed one by one from bundled carbon nanotubes not only by the use of a difference in interaction with amine between metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes and semiconducting carbon nanotubes due to a difference in electrical properties between metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes and semiconducting carbon nanotubes but also by the use of the fact that an amine is an important factor in SWNTs separation. The thus dispersed carbon nanotubes are subjected to centrifugation, thereby attaining separation from non-dispersed semiconducting carbon nanotubes.
