Abstract: A VHF tuner circuit comprising an oscillator for generating a harmonic which is close to the RF frequency, including resonant circuit means for providing a low impedance path for coupling the desired harmonic current to the mixer and for providing a high impedance path for all the other harmonics, thereby suppressing the reception of spurious signals.
Abstract: An automatic apparatus for greasing and loading a bearing housing with roller needles whereby the insertion of the bearing housing into a feed cavity in the cylinder feed head of the apparatus initiates the assembly sequence. Grease is pumped into the housing and a plurality of roller needles are pushed simultaneously into the greased housing. The greased and loaded bearing assembly is automatically ejected from the feed cavity and the apparatus turned off.

Abstract: A low profile transformer includes an E - I core having two outer legs and center leg. A pair of connecting pin headers have recesses in friction-fit contact with the inner portions of the outer legs; each header is also recessed, at each end, and is in friction-fit contact with the inner portion of the E-core which joins the legs and the I-bar. A coil wound bobbin on the center core leg has flanges which abut and brace against the pin headers to secure said headers in position. Pins on the headers enable mounting on a printed circuit board.
Abstract: A slitting machine for separating the overlapped portion of a web of continuously laminated articles is provided by the present invention wherein a cutting means having two oppositely-facing cutting blades is mounted to a carriage and selectively reciprocated back and forth across the web as controlled by electrical circuitry to slit the laminate material between successive articles.

Abstract: A system for sensing and monitoring the injection of fuel into a fuel injection type engine including a piezoelectric transducer which is affixed to a clip-on mounting for selectively attaching to the return line side of the injection nozzle to sense a vibration or shock wave and thereby generate a useful electrical signal.
Abstract: A filter assembly for a vacuum cleaner hose includes a tubular member having opposite open ends and a filter plate between said ends. In one version, the assembly is telescoped into the vacuum cleaner hose and has a reduced opening at one end with the filter plate having a solid central core that is larger than the reduced opening and passages surrounding the central core. In a second version, an enlarged intermediate portion has tubes extending therefrom that respectively telescope over and into adjacent conduit sections of the vacuum cleaner hose and the filter plate is located in the enlarged portion.
Abstract: The inventive transfer logic controller provides a method and system for effecting three types of power transfer to a plant bus comprising a fast transfer, synchronous transfer and decay or residual voltage transfer.
Abstract: In a typical power system, a motor bus is fed by a main power system; and, an auxiliary system is provided to alternatively feed the motor bus. When a fast transfer from the main power to the auxiliary power system is desired, for example, in case of fault occurring in the main system, the inventive method transfers power in a synchronous mode; that is, power is transferred from the auxiliary system to the motor bus when the phase difference of the auxiliary system with respect to the frequency of the residual voltage on the motor bus is essentially zero degrees.
Abstract: A transducer for sensing and monitoring the injection of fuel into a fuel injection type engine including a transducer comprising a flexible collar of low mass and a flexible piezoelectric element mounted on the fuel line to sense the change in the circumferential dimension of the line due to the surge of pressure created in the line as the fuel is injected through the line into the engine.
Abstract: The piezoelectric generator and the spark electrodes are assembled as an integral unit, the electrodes being at the upper end of the unit and projecting upwardly while the actuating button of the current generator projects downwardly from the lower end of the unit. The unit is movable vertically. When upward pressure is exerted on the button the unit moves to an upper position at which the electrodes are adjacent the gas burner and upon reaching that position continued upward pressure on the button actuates the current generator. When the button is released the unit descends by gravity to a lower position at which the electrodes are spaced away from the flame of the burning gas.
Abstract: An improved transducer construction of the type having a U-shaped armature mounted to have a vibrating arm extending through the tunnel of a cooperating coil. The arms of the armature are joined by a smooth bend to provide improved shock-resistant characteristics. The coil is initially located and properly positioned relative to the arm extending through the tunnel by means of shims. The transducer includes a case comprising a cup, and a cover for the cup, both being of a magnetic material. The cup and cover are joined together by welding to insure low reluctance flux paths therebetween to retain the magnetic fields developed by the transducer within the casing.

The circuit includes a transducer for emitting a beam of ultrasonic energy and a sensor for detecting the modulation of the ultrasonic energy by movement occurring in the beam. The sensor provides a signal in response to said modulation to turn-on an electric light, and to turn-on a sound alarm.
Abstract: Power transfer relay circuitry is disclosed for providing synchronous transfer of power such as from an auxiliary source or system to a motor or motor bus; the circuitry effects the transfer of power when the phase difference between the motor bus and the auxiliary power source is very nearly zero degrees.
