Abstract: An intra-corporeal surgical retractor for holding tissues and organs in place is provided, including a sealed container, made from a flexible material, having an interior containing a granular substance and a fluid. At least one tube may be provided with one end attached to the container in communication with the interior of the container and the other end connected to a suction mechanism. When the fluid is evacuated from the container, the container constricts around the granular substance and becomes relatively rigid. An absorbent sleeve or layer may be provided surrounding the container. The granular substance may be provided as loose fill or as a layer over at least a portion of the inner wall. Alternatively, the inner walls of the container may be provided with a very rough surface. Further, the outer surface of the bottom of the pouch is enhanced frictionally.
Abstract: An inflatable vehicle for simulating a driving experience while playing realistic computer-video driving games such as the WII games. The vehicle is life-like in construction and allows a player to sit therein while playing driving game. A steering wheel or handle bar is configured to receive a game controller—which controls the video game when the steering wheel or handle bar is manipulated like a real life equivalent thereof.
Abstract: A hanger packaging system that includes a plurality of hangers having at least one projection extending from their main bodies The hangers are grouped together such that their respective projections are aligned with one another. A shrink-wrap sleeve is applied over the group of hangers. The projections are covered by the shrink-wrap and they act as a catch for trapping the same This prevents the shrink-wrap from retreating and slipping off the hanger. The hangers also have engagement means for temporarily connecting to one another. This allows for hangers to be handled as unitary groups during production.
Abstract: A suitcase with wheels that is convertible to be a pushcart or pull-cart upon which a traveler can load other luggage items and pull or push the suitcase for easy movement of several pieces of luggage simultaneously. When the suitcase is not being used as a pushcart or pull-cart it functions as a traditional “wheelie bag.
Abstract: A pattern VEP system for screening for glaucoma and other optic nerve related diseases/deficiencies. The system combines high contrast and low contrast testing. The low contrast testing allows for highly sensitive glaucoma testing and the high contrast allows for a sensitive test of the central vision. The system also includes a narrowly tailored method of rejecting corrupted data allowing the system to selectively salvage useful portions of a signal. The system also provides a method of data modeling to locate the N75-P100-N135 complex in a waveform and determine if it falls within the normal range.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a dual pet leash, including a spherical-shaped or ellipsoid-shaped or cone-shaped or cylindrical-shaped or egg-shaped detangling element, a handle located adjacent the detangling element, and two or more pet attachment portions or straps extending from the detangling element, the pet attachment portions spaced approximately equidistant from each other, or spaced on approximately opposite sides of the detangling element. Latches for attaching to the pet attachment portions to a pet's collar or pet's harness are also provided.
Abstract: An improved syringe and spring clip therefor used in single use (aspirating and non-aspirating) syringes in which the syringe has an improved, X-shaped nose piece for assisting the attachment of a sheath and an improved spring clip for both ensuring better operation of the single use aspect of the device and for ensuring that only a predetermined amount of medicine is loaded into the syringe when the syringe is loaded with medicine.
Abstract: Date can be printed on a business card in a business card case by realizing a business card case with a printing function. The business card case with a printing function includes an upper case (1) provided with a pressing rubber (12) and a pressing block (13) of a printing hammer, a lower case (2) connected to the upper case (1) so as to be freely opened and closed, a card containing section (3) formed in the case, a typing device in which a plurality of date printing type units coupled so as to move up and down among a plurality of type blocks each having a type formed on the upper surface are fixed to a type case (4), and a printing ribbon (5) for printing the date. The date is printed by pressing the print hammer and pressing the business card (34) against the type with the printing ribbon (5) interposed therebetween.
Abstract: In a linear guide device including: a rail having on either side surface thereof a track recess with a track surface formed thereon; a rail cover covering a rail upper surface of the rail; a saddle-like slider moving linearly on the rail; and a rolling member circulating through a connection path provided in the slider and adapted to roll on the track surface of the rail, the rail cover is equipped with a side edge portion having an engagement portion, an upper track surface serving as an engagement surface is provided in a lower portion of an upper side surface of the rail, the engagement surface being a slope gradually diminishing in the rail width direction downwardly from the upper side surface, and an engagement portion of the rail cover is engaged with the engagement surface, whereby it is possible to achieve an increase in the speed of the rail grinding work for allowing engagement of the rail cover covering the rail upper surface of the liner guide device.
