  • Patent number: 6882340
Abstract: An electronic pen is provided with a casing. A sensor substrate is formed by arranging two comblike conductive patterns on a flexible substrate so that the conductive patterns are interleaved but do not come into contact with each other. The sensor substrate is wound around part of the casing and is thereby fixed. A pressure-sensitive conductive rubber member is arranged to cover the sensor substrate. A protective grip is provided to cover these portions. Accordingly, a sensor which senses finger contact or a pressure applied by a finger is formed. When a finger presses the protective grip, a circuit on a control substrate detects a change in the relationship between the conductive patterns between which continuity is established by the pressure-sensitive conductive rubber member. The detection is transmitted as operation information to a digitizer by exchanging electromagnetic waves with the digitizer.

  • Patent number: 6877539
Abstract: A welding apparatus for plastic work pieces has two welding tables arranged next to one another. A propulsion device displaces the welding tables. The propulsion device has a drive motor and a propulsion rod assembly. The propulsion rod assembly has spatially separated double arm levers with two lever arms in each case. The two lever arms are each mounted in a rotatable manner on an axis of rotation and are in a mechanical state of rotary connection with one another. One set of lever arms is kinematically connected to one welding table and the other lever arms are kinematically connected to the other welding table. During rotary movement of the double arm levers, the welding tables are moved toward one another in one direction of rotation, and away from one another in the other direction of rotation.

The roof structure includes at least three multi-element trusses attached on corresponding ends to a vertically extending central column. Each of the trusses is rotationally displaced from adjacent ones of the trusses, as measured in a horizontal plane, preferably, by the same angle. Each of the trusses is inclined outwardly and downwardly from the central column to form a series of triangularly shaped roof segments between adjacent ones of the trusses and so as to provide the roof structure shape. The central column may be a vertically extending length of hollow pipe and is essentially non-load supporting, whereby a lower end of the column is vertically spaced above a support structure for outer peripheral edge portions of the trusses. The support structure may be a series of wood posts, a different one of which is attached on an upper end portion to an outer peripheral edge portions of a corresponding one of the trusses.
