Abstract: An input/output device is disclosed that includes a digitizer with an LCD mounted thereon and a protective layer mounted directly on the LCD to minimize the parallax errors that have heretofore occurred when a protective layer was mounted in a spaced relation from an LCD. The LCD is a fringe field switching (FFS) LCD which does not distort when pressure is applied to its upper surface through the directly connected protective layer.
Abstract: A compact lightweight speaker system without a resonance box that can reproduce the original sound with high fidelity. A speaker unit is located on a baffle board with a vibration absorbing member between a frame of the speaker unit and the baffle board. Furthermore, an acoustic resonance reflecting board of a vertical flat board type based on the operating principle of a passive radiator is formed by the baffle board and a flat board being similar to the baffle board. As a result, a compact smart design will be produced. It is applicable to an electric or electronic apparatus which produces sound.
Abstract: A heat-exchange module has a main exchanger and at least one secondary exchanger, each having a body with fluid-circulation tubes, and cooling fins, the secondary exchanger being fixed onto the main exchanger. The module includes a set of fins common to the main exchanger and to at least one secondary exchanger, these fins being mounted on the tubes of the main exchanger and projecting from this exchanger, the projecting parts of the fins including cut-outs for accommodating the tubes of the secondary exchanger. Fastenings secure the secondary exchanger in the position in which its tubes are engaged in the cut-outs.

The invention further relates to a method of producing porous paper machine clothing such as this.
Abstract: This electronic module comprises a metallic base (12) and electronic power components (D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6) on the base; in which each component, in a group consisting of some of the components, is mounted on the base with a respective electrically insulating and thermally conductive element (44) being interposed, the other components of the power module being connected electrically to the said base, and in which a peripheral frame (14) is mounted on the base and incorporates interconnecting elements of electrically conductive materials. The invention is applicable in the field of motor vehicle alternators.
Abstract: A device to control an installation for heating, ventilating and/or ai-conditioning a vehicle passenger compartment responds to a set-point set by a passenger and chosen air-heating parameter values. A control module drives actuators to modify the operation of the installation. The device includes a module calculating a comfort temperature for a passenger in the passenger compartment using the stored values of the chosen parameters and by taking into account the set-point. The control module alters the operation of the installation as a function of the comfort temperature which corresponds to the air-heating configuration desired in the passenger compartment.

Abstract: Method for control of a multi-phase, reversible, rotating electrical machine, called alternator/starter, for a motor vehicle with a heat engine capable of operating either as an electrical generator—alternator mode—or as an electric motor, especially in order to start the heat engine, characterised in that, during operation in electric-motor mode, the said machine is driven according to two modes corresponding to different speed/torque characteristic curves, namely a first mode, called starter mode, making it possible to drive the heat engine of the vehicle in order to start it with high torques for low speeds, while the second mode, called auxiliary-motor mode, makes it possible to drive at least one power-consumer unit, such as an accessory, and/or the heat engine, at higher speeds and lower torques than those of the first mode.
Abstract: Mounting plates used to mount filter elements within cylindrical canisters are made from sintered powdered materials, such as sintered powdered metal in order to reduce engineering and tooling lead time as well as to reduce costs. By making a mounting plate of sintered metal, the mounting plate can have a varying thickness which is an advantage not obtainable with a mounting plate stamped from steel sheet.
Abstract: A peripheral flange formed on a differential case for mounting a ring gear and the peripheral flange is provided with a plurality of cast-in bolt holes for bolting up the ring gear to the differential case using the lost foam casting process for making the differential case. A method of making a gear case eliminates the process of machining of the bolt holes in the differential case casting, thus reducing cost of manufacturing the differential case.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for coating sheet material with thermoset material. In certain embodiments, first and second different induction furnaces are provided, with the coated sheet first proceeding into and through the first furnace, and then into and through the second furnace. The first furnace may be maintained at a temperature less than the second furnace, so that out-gassing of volatile materials is achieved in the first furnace and thereafter heightened cross-linking conversation rates are achieved in the second furnace at higher temperatures.

Abstract: A clasp comprising a piston member, cylinder member, and a member for attaching and detaching said piston member to the cylinder member. The clasp of the present invention comprises an elastic member which apply a resilient force to the piston member in the direction that the piston member is separated from said cylinder member; a lock pin projected on either surface of the piston member and the cylinder member contact with each other in substantially vertical direction to the remaining surface so that projection elastic force is applied in a movable manner: a W-shaped or M-shaped guide groove including a concave portion for inserting the lock pin and having a route for directing the movement of the lock pin, which comprises a first bent portion, a second bent portion, and a third bent portion from the inlet and outlet of the route; and a member for directing the movement of the lock pin.

Said parallel capillary device, said parallel expansion valve device or the combination comprises a two-position three-way change-over valve or one-way valve with opposite direction of leading through and two groups of parallel capillary tube, two groups of parallel expanding valve, parallel capillary tube and expanding valve or a combination of two groups of series capillary tube and expansion valve.
Abstract: An adjustable nut comprises a main body having an axial passageway and a locking insert. First and second wing members are pivotally mounted to the main body, whereby the wing members include respective cam surfaces that deflect the inner surface of the locking insert toward the threaded shaft. The assembly provides three different mounting arrangements. The first and second wing members are adapted to provide (1) a locking position where the main body is immovably locked to the threaded shaft, (2) an adjustment position where the first wing member is in the locking position and the second wing member is in an unlocking position to permit selective adjustment of the main body with respect to the threaded shaft, and (3) a sliding position where the first and second wing members are in an unlocking position to permit the main body to slide axially along the threaded member.
Abstract: A stethoscope includes a pair of branches, each having a bent clip tube section with a coupling end portion connected to an ear tube section, and a curved intermediate fulcrum portion, which interconnects the coupling end portion and a resilient operating end portion and which has a concave outer surface that faces away from the other branch, and a convex inner surface that faces toward the other branch. A rubber tube is connected to the operating end portions of the clip tube sections of the branches and is in fluid communication with the branches. The intermediate fulcrum portions abut against each other. The operating end portions form a press space therebetween, and are depressible toward each other when removing the ear tube sections from the ears of the wearer.
