  • Patent number: 7499990
Abstract: A system and method thereby each of a plurality of agent servers keeps and manages history of movement. Each of the agent servers temporarily stores requests for updates of location information of a mobile agent associated to accumulated number of movement of the mobile agent and periodically sends it to a registration server so that no congestion will occur in accessing the registration server. The registration server renews location information of a mobile server only with the request for update of a higher accumulated number of movements so as not to overwrite newer information with older information.

  • Patent number: 7296159
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for key distribution in a conditional access system, assuming that the set of all user nodes which the system can accommodate is a complete set, and a subset is composed of all user nodes or part of user nodes. One method comprises: decomposing said subset into at least one secondary subset; assigning a different user key to each secondary subset, each said user key being transmitted to all users in a corresponding secondary subset; encrypting an entitlement key by using each said user key so as to generate a cipher text corresponding to each said secondary subset; and combining said cipher text to generate a media key control block and transmitting said media key control block to all users in said subset. Since a classification method of a binary tree and a multiple tree is used, the invention can save a lot of network resources.

  • Patent number: 7225397
Abstract: The present invention provides improvement of operations providing annotation and layout for an HTML page file. In an example embodiment, a page acquisition module obtains page files from a web server, and an HTML file analysis module extracts tags and characteristic values related to the layout. A page group detection module employs layout tags and their characteristic values to group page files that have the same or a similar layout. When an annotation addition module adds an annotation to an arbitrary page file in the obtained layout group, the annotation is applied for another page file in the layout group. When the layout group is divided or layout groups are unified, a correction module for the function of distance calculation corrects a calculation expression for a distance between pages or layout groups in order to reflect the division or unification results obtained by the user.

  • Patent number: 7221758
Abstract: The present scheme improves the security of encrypted data or information by using of a practical public-key cryptosystem that is able to resist adaptive attacks. The disclosed scheme does not leak any information about the secret of the used key. Therefor the scheme generates an extended private key and public key. A message m, also referred to as plaintext, is encryptable to a ciphertext t by using the public key. Only a recipient with the right private key is able to decrypt the ciphertext t. But before a decryption starts, a verification of the ciphertext t takes place. Such a verification allows to prove the legitimation of the ciphertext t. That means, the ciphertext t is investigated and either decrypted back to the plaintext or rejected if a chosen ciphertext is fed, ie. the ciphertext is illegitimate or invalid.

  • Patent number: 7222107
Abstract: A Transaction Authorization Method operating over a computer network comprising a plurality of interconnected computers and a plurality of resources, each computer including a processor, memory and input/output devices, each resource operatively coupled to at least one of the computers and executing at least one of the activities in the process flow, the method characterized in that it assembles an electronic authorization of a transaction in a manner which is verifiable by extracting and verifying whether role certificates of at least one type, associated with the authorization, are themselves authentic. The method eliminates the need of having to authorize each and every signature on a transaction individually by providing an authorization structure based on roles, this structure being accessible on a public network for verification that the transaction is authorized.

  • Patent number: 7197747
Abstract: A method and system for compiling a program written in a type-safe language. Instructions are reordered for speculative execution while reducing the execution time of the program. A dependency graph is generated wherein exception dependent arcs are discriminated from arcs of other dependency types. Determination is made whether earliest execution start time of the H-PEI will be earlier when executed with or without a constraint by the exception dependent arc. If it is determined that it will be earlier in the latter case, the instruction sequence including the H-PEI is reordered for speculative execution.

  • Patent number: 7167964
Abstract: The basic idea comprised of the present invention is to provide two sets of descriptors having each at least three descriptors and each set is used in an alternating manner for defining the location of source and target of the copy operations which are to be performed during the defragmentation procedure. The defragmentation procedure is performed as a sequence of copy operations on copy chunks, i.e., a certain number of sequentially arranged bytes to be copied being part of a valid data block to be copied. In each of said copy operations in said sequence the values which are assigned to said descriptors Change. According to a characterizing feature of the present invention during the whole sequence of copy operations comprised of the defragmentation process one of the two sets of descriptors holds information which is usable for restoring the contents of a copy chunk in case of a power break during a copy operation on said copy chunk. Thus, defragmenting is a safe procedure, and data integrity is assured.

  • Patent number: 7127492
Abstract: The present invention presents methods and apparatus supporting acceleration of networked applications by means of dynamic distributed execution and maintenance. It also enables management and administration of the distributed components of the networked applications from a responsible point of origination. The method and apparatus deploys a plurality of proxy servers within the network. Clients are directed to one of the proxy servers using wide area load balancing techniques. The proxy servers download programs from backend servers and cache them in a local store. These programs, in conjunction with data stored at cached servers, are used to execute applications at the proxy server, eliminating the need for a client to communicate to a backend server to execute a networked application.

  • Patent number: 7127213
Abstract: Alternate methods, devices and systems are presented for providing service providers and/or end users of mobile stations to monitor and/or report regions with high error rates and/or dead zones. A protocol is provided such as to yield the error occurrence, error rate and/or the address of the end user. In some embodiments it also contains location information and time of day information. This information may be collected from the G.P.S., and/or all or a portion of users when there is a significant transmission difficulty and/or an abundance of errors. The collected data forms a database which is analyzed to generate coverage maps. This may include the dynamic aspects of the mobile network. In another aspect of this invention, each mobile station periodically compares its current location with the data base. The results of this comparison enables the mobile unit to anticipate connection problems.
