  • Patent number: 6320956
Abstract: A method of providing call center remote agents the ability to conduct transactions for a plurality of call center clients while providing integrated voice, data, supervisory monitoring and payroll services to both remote agent and call center client. Customer initiated inbound calls are routed through a voice switch which is dynamically controlled by a network coordinator. The network coordinator monitors a plurality of authorized remote agents signed on through computer terminals trained to process customer calls for one or more call center clients. Rather than hold a customer in a traditional call center queue until another local agent becomes available, the network coordinator selects an available and authorized remote agent to accept the call and directs the voice switch to connect the customer to the remote agent.

  • Patent number: 6196824
Abstract: An injection molding apparatus having an A side and a B side for use with interchangeable molding tools that allow the center gating of a part. Center gating directly into a molding tool provides a uniformly stress resistant cylindrical part. The use of interchangeable molding tools provides easy replacement of tools that are designed to produce a variety of different parts. Each interchangeable molding tool provides a runner tool distribution system to allow injected material to enter directly into the center of a part to be molded. Once the part is molded, the runner that is formed in the runner tool distribution system is separated from the molded part. The molded parts are then simultaneously released from the mold assembly.

  • Patent number: 6146127
Abstract: A baffle sorting system for use with injection mold machines that produce different mold products from a plurality of mold cavities during the same production run whereby at least one baffle extends perpendicular to one plate in a mold between two mold cavities, and corresponding slot on the second plate of a mold receives the baffle when both plates are coupled. When the product is ready to be ejected from the machine, both plates separate, but the baffle prevents the products of one mold from intermingling with the products of a second mold. The products drop down into a collection device for further processing or packaging. Alternatively, the baffles are positioned between the A plate and the B plate during the ejection phase of the molding cycle, then retracted from the mold machine during the injection phase.

  • Patent number: 6070694
Abstract: A loudspeaker assembly with a transducer capable of being swiveled to direct the sound to a convenient point thereby allowing the listener to select the optimal direction of sound. The assembly comprises a unique design which prevents the transducer from dropping below the plane of the speaker's baffle, thereby eliminating diffraction of sound waves which arise when sound radiates off the sharp edge of the cavity wall upon rotation of the transducer. The assembly allows a listener to adjust a transducer, such as the high-range frequency tweeter component of an in-wall speaker to his liking, without the need to remove and/or re-install the speaker in the wall. The assembly is equally adaptable to the interior of a vehicle or for use as a free-standing floor speaker. The assembly provides a unique speaker with a pivoting transducer which provides quality, multi-directional sound, free from any distortion created by the diffraction of sound waves.

  • Patent number: 6035659
Abstract: A sanitary beverage cooler. This invention provides for a sanitary beverage cooler which is affixed to the open top of a beverage-holding container such as a can or bottle. The sanitary beverage cooler is filled with a cooling substance such as a plurality of ice cubes. As the beverage passes through the opening in the beverage-holding container, either by tilting or by use of a straw, and into the orifice defined by the cylindrical receptacle of the beverage cooler, the beverage becomes cooled by the cooling substance which is contained within the beverage cooler. The user is thereby able to affix the beverage cooler to a beverage-holding container containing a warm beverage, and drink the beverage contained therein after it has been cooled by cooling substance without the possibility of the beverage being diluted by continuous and prolonged contact with the cooling substance.

  • Patent number: 6026927
Abstract: A speaker assembly with a unique sound driver sub-baffle assembly which can be pivoted forward and backward, as well as rotated clockwise or counter-clockwise 360 degrees via the use of a rotatable turntable mounted within the speaker's baffle. The assembly allows a listener to manually alter the orientation and direction of the speaker's transducers thereby allowing for optimal dispersion control after the speaker is installed in a wall, regardless of the speaker's position within a room. The sub-baffle assembly, when pivoted to its maximum limit, provides a flush, continuous surface with the inner rim of the rotatable turntable, allowing a listener to control dispersion of the sound waves without creating distortion. Further, the transducers embedded within the sub-baffle assembly are maintained in a coplanar relationship throughout rotation and pivoting.

  • Patent number: 5953799
Abstract: An anti theft tag designed to permanently render an article useless if unauthorized removal of the tag is attempted. The anti theft tag includes ampules containing a permanent staining substance. The permanent staining substance is of the type that changes the composition of the article, such as bleach, rather than a dye. The ampules are supported in a base component with holes that allow the staining substance to escape if the ampules are fractured. A cover component with a break away element covers the base component. Permanently attached to the break away element is an elongated pin type connecting unit that is used to attach the tag to the article being protected, and locked into place by a locking mechanism. When an unauthorized removal of the tag is attempted, the break away element fractures the ampules and also exposes the outside of the cover component to the staining substance.
