  • Patent number: 5156872
Abstract: An apparatus and method for extracting juice from raw juice containing material is disclosed. The apparatus includes a supporting housing, a pair of meshing helical gears (2,3) for crushing the raw juice containing material to initially extract juice therefrom and with each helical gear terminating in a tapered screw. A sieve (4) is operatively positioned around the helical gears and each of the tapered screws with the sieve being branched (47,48) with each branch housing at least a portion of one of the tapered screws, respectively. Each branch of the sieve has a terminal end with a discharge outlet formed thereat to enable each of the screws to further extract juice from the crushed raw juice containing material by compressingly moving the crushed juice containing material along one of the branch portions of the sieve and toward one of the discharge outlets formed in the sieve.

  • Patent number: 5122261
Abstract: The invention relates to a flotation column including a plurality of controlled recycle chambers intentionally introduced into the column to cause the non-float fraction or gangue to drop down in the main float stream while the desired float fraction travels in the opposite direction by recycling to continually mix the pulp while coursing through the column. Recycle zones are positioned on the periphery of the main passage or flotation zone within chambers located in series along the column. A portion of the slurry is drawn into a recycle zone where it passes downwardly to return to the flotation zone or the main passage through the column to again be swept through the column.

  • Patent number: 5104044
Abstract: A hydroactuatable high speed spinner for car wash equipment and the like which is characterized by rugged, reliable design. The spinner is driven soley by water pressure, which may be on the order of 1,000 psi, wherein a unique turbine sleeve ensures high speed operation while still providing adequate pressure for scouring and washing by a relatively lightweight spray rotor carried on the sleeve in a sealed spinner assembly. As a consequence, effective cleaning is achieved with minimum water wastage and maximum conservation.

  • Patent number: 4994409
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a trench capacitor in a silicon wafer using a photoresist etch back process comprising sequentially depositing an oxide layer, a nitride layer and an oxide layer as a mask layer on the Si wafer and coating the mask layer with a photoresist layer is disclosed. A first pattern is formed by removing a portion of the photoresist layer and a second a mask pattern is formed by removing the exposed mask layer along the photoresist pattern, and then completely removing the photoresist. A trench is formed in the Si wafer along the second mask pattern. A thin doped oxide layer having a constant thickness is deposited outside and inside the trench. The doped oxide layer is entirely coated with a photoresist, thereby filling the trench with photoresist. The top surface of the photoresist is then planarized. The resulting photoresist coated Si wafer is baked and the photoresist deposited outside and inside the trench is selectively etched back.
