Abstract: An automatic touch-free dispenser provides dose dispensing of a product from a pressurized can by sensing or detecting the presence of a user's hands, and an actuator assembly which tilts the nozzle on the can in response to such detection, to thereby dispense product from the can. The can may hold a healthcare product, such as a sanitizer, food product, or any other fluid product pressurized in a can. The actuator assembly includes a DC motor which drives a cam, which in turn pushes an actuator lever into the nozzle for a certain dispensing time. The number of doses, detection range, and motor speed, can be adjusted.
Abstract: The guide rail has a longitudinal groove arranged along its upper rail side and a cover strip which closes off the groove and bears flush against the plane of the upper rail side. The spacing between opposite groove walls of the groove is smaller than the leveled cover strip. In order to retain the cover strip, each of the groove walls are provided with an undercut and retaining strips provided at both longitudinal sides of the cover strip engage into the undercuts. The cover strip is plastically curved around an axis which is parallel to the guide rail, such that the curved cover strip is smaller than the spacing between the groove walls, and after being inserted into the longitudinal groove, the curved cover strip is leveled by means of plastic deformation, such that the retaining strips are displaced into the undercuts.
Abstract: The invention proposes a method for controlling a stationary gas motor (1), wherein a rotational speed control deviation is calculated from a target rotational speed (nSL) and a current rotational speed (nIST), a target torque is determined from the rotational speed control deviation as the controlled variable, wherein a mixture throttle angle (DKW1, DKW2) is determined for the determination of a mixture volume flow and of a current mixture pressure (p1 (IST), p2(IST)) in a receiver pipe (12, 13) upstream of the intake valves of the gas motor (1) as a function of the target volume flow, and wherein a gas throttle angle is determined for determining a gas volume flow as the gas content in a gas/air mixture, also as a function of the target volume flow.

Abstract: A projectile in which the metallic base body itself is used as a ground wire and only the signal line is passed through the inside of the base body so that it is insulated by a suitable bore of the base body. The signal line is insulated from the ground wire by a coating of an electrically insulating material applied to the base body, before the signal line is introduced into the bore. The two ends of the signal line are provided with connecting contacts, which preferably can be screwed at least partially into the base body and are mounted in such a way that they are insulated from the base body. To allow contacting of the ground wire, which is formed by the base body itself, the front end and the rear end of the base body are provided with coating-free blind bores.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are an alphabet input device and an alphabet recognition system in a small-sized keypad. The device includes: a first keypad part comprising a plurality of buttons each of which is assigned with a symbol extracted from strokes of alphabet characters so that the alphabet characters be input by one of the buttons or a combination of two or more of the buttons; and a second keypad part comprising one or more buttons each assigned with an alphabet character having a high usage frequency. With the device, alphabet characters can be inputted in a simper and more efficient manner.
Abstract: It is described the use of thymosin alpha 1 in combination with long pentraxin PTX3 or Ganciclovir, for the preparation of a medicament for the prevention or treatment of viral diseases and/or for inhibiting virus activation.
Abstract: The invention relates to a franking machine, comprising a print head of an ink-jet printing mechanism for printing flat postal items such as letters or postcards, which can be introduced into said mechanism or which pass through the same. Said franking machine consists of a guiding part which is located around the print head and projects in relation to the nozzle opening plane of said print head, and with which a conveying device is associated, said conveying device transporting the postal items between itself and conveying rollers lying opposite and rotating about axes that are located crosswise to the conveying direction. Said conveying device has two drive-connected driving rollers which together with the guiding part, form a path of travel. The driving rollers are located in front of and behind the print head in relation to the conveying direction.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a herbal mixture extract of Rehmanniae Radix Preparata and Acanthopanacis Cortex and a composition comprising the same for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. The herbal mixture extract of the present invention enhances the expression of osteoprotegerin (OPG) in osteoblasts and effectively inhibits the generation and activation of osteoclasts, so that it can be effectively used for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel {4-[2-(dimethylamino)-1-(1-hydroxycyclohexyl)ethyl]phenoxy}phosphate or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a production method therefor and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating central nervous system disorders which contains the same as an active component. The novel {4-[2-(dimethylamino)-1-(1-hydroxycyclohexyl)ethyl]phenoxy}phosphate or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof according to the present invention can beneficially be used to prevent and treat central nervous system disorders since it exhibits an equivalent biological and pharmacological activity to venlafaxine and salts thereof which are known in the field, it has very little toxicity, and, in particular, it is outstandingly soluble in water as compared with prior-art venlafaxine derivatives.

Abstract: A lock cylinder having: a cylinder core having a key channel for inserting a key which is provided with profiling; at least one feeler element which is disposed in the cylinder core, is acted on by a spring and is held in a blocking position by the spring when the key is not inserted in the key channel; and a blocking element which, when the feeler element is in the blocking position, is held in a blocking position which blocks rotation of the cylinder core. The feeler element can be shifted against the return force of the spring into a release position by the profiling on the matching key inserted into the key channel, in which position the locking element can be deflected into a position releasing the cylinder core.

Abstract: Method for manufacturing a flat knitted fabric with a secured end border, particularly a bandage, on a flat knitting machine with front and rear needle beds, wherein initially the basic fabric is knitted on both needle beds, wherein in the border region of the fabric, at least on the inner side of the knitted fabric an elastic thread is knitted-in and that at least one of the needle beds a hot melt adhesive thread is knitted-in, and that, for forming the border, knitting is carried out only on the needle bed which knits the outer side of the fabric, so that the elastic thread located on the other needle bed is extended, whereupon the stitches are knitted off, wherein the border is pulled by the elastic threads which contract under load onto the inner side of the fabric, where it is subsequently fixed by heating of the hot melt adhesive thread.
Abstract: The sliding strut bearing has two rigid body positioned in a plastic housing and a synthetic resin sliding bearing positioned between the two rigid bodies. The rigid bodies are metal and provide structural rigidity allowing a spring seat to be incorporated into the plastic housing and an overall reduction in the height of the bearing.
