  • Patent number: 8331261
Abstract: The present invention discloses a test method and a testing apparatus for type 3i receivers which use multicarrier operation in HSDPA. The method sequentially tests each carrier, one at a time. Applying multi-switches, channel emulators and efficient wirings, performance tests can be performed without any need for changing the User Equipment to be tested. In case a single carrier test is passed, the next carrier is selected for the test. All carriers are thus tested sequentially against a single carrier throughput requirement until all carriers have been processed.

  • Patent number: 8329405
Abstract: The invention provides an amplification system for the simultaneous detection of mutant alleles, and identification of the specific mutated sequence. A sample is enriched and simultaneously genotyped by the presence of peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) probes in an homogeneous single tube amplification reaction, by detecting the cleavage of a fluorophore quencher from the 5?-end of PCR products and, concurrently, selecting DNA that includes specific mutations relative to wild type, by employing a thermostable endonuclease that will only cleave an amplicon formed on a mutation bearing template strand. Oligonucleotides and kits for conducting the amplification system are also provided.

  • Patent number: 8328429
Abstract: A radial anti-friction bearing, which has an outer and inner bearing race with an inner and outer raceway and cylinder rollers that roll on the raceways between the bearing races and which are held at equal distances to each other in the peripheral direction by a bearing cage. To prevent slip, the cylinder rollers are replaced by hollow rollers, which have a larger outside diameter and lower modulus of elasticity. The dimensions of the bearing races, cylinder rollers and hollow rollers are configured such that both the cylinder and hollow rollers initially have a defined radial bearing clearance in the non-installed state of the radial anti-friction bearing, and the pretension necessary for the continuous drive of the bearing cage is adjusted on the hollow rollers only once the radial anti-friction bearing has been installed, while simultaneously reducing the radial bearing clearance at the cylinder rollers.

  • Patent number: 8324246
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a new indole carboxylic acid bispyridyl carboxamide derivative, a preparation method thereof, and a composition for prevention or treatment of obesity, urinary disorders, and CNS disorders, containing the same as an active ingredient. Because the indole carboxylic acid bispyridyl carboxamide derivatives according to the present invention have high affinity for 5-HT2c receptors, act selectively on the 5-HT2c receptors, the derivatives rarely have adverse effects caused by other receptors. Because the derivatives effectively inhibit serotonin activity, they may be useful for treatment or prevention of obesity; urinary disorders such as urinary incontinence, premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, and prostatic hyperplasia; CNS disorders such as depression, anxiety, concern, panic disorder, epilepsy, obsessive-compulsive disorder, migraine, sleep disorder, withdrawal from drug abuse, Alzheimer's disease, and schizophrenia, associated with 5-HT2c receptors.

  • Patent number: 8316709
Abstract: A method and device for measuring force, torque and output on an ergometer or bicycle. When the ergometer or bicycle is used as intended, a torque is transmitted via a shaft onto a flexible drive and further onto the flywheel of an ergometer or the rear wheel of the bicycle by two pedal cranks. The flexible drive has a pulley or a sprocket wheel which is non-rotatably connected to the shaft in at least one direction of rotation. Elastic torsions of the shaft that result independently from the torque transmission are detected at both sides of the pulley or of the sprocket wheel as a measure of the forces applied to the shaft to determine the torque and output both of the left and right leg of the user of the ergometer or bicycle. Corresponding electrical sensor signals are generated and supplied to a memory and/or evaluation unit for further processing.

  • Patent number: 8316808
Abstract: A control time adjusting device which adjusts the phase position of a camshaft with respect to an upstream drivetrain that drives the camshaft. The device has a hub element and a bell element which is coupled to the hub element in a variably adjustable manner with regard to the rotary phase position. The adjusting angle range is defined by stop structures. Additionally, adjusting cells, which are separated by radial webs and vane elements, are situated in an intermediate space between the hub element and bell element. The position and the peripheral length of the device, which is definitive for the pivoting travel of the adjusting cells and the arrangement of the vane elements with respect to one another, are adapted such that at least two different-sized adjusting angle ranges can be defined as a function of the assignment of the vane elements to the adjusting cells.
