Abstract: A guided aerial delivery device which can be used to safely and accurately deliver a payload and supplies from an aircraft in flight to a specific target location in a reduced time. The aerial delivery device uses an overloaded ram-air drogue parachute controlled by a guidance system to steer the payload towards the intended target. When a selected altitude is reached, a recovery parachute is activated and the payload descends the remaining distance under the recovery parachute.
Abstract: A two piece sealed capsule that is inserted through the wall of a liquid, gel, syrup or powder bearing container said capsule being a receptacle for sealably containing a liquid and/or dry material and a dispenser for releasing the material when desired into the container. The top of the capsule is depressed manually forcing a plunger tube connected to the bottom of the capsule to rip away the bottom and side portion dispensing the material. The present invention allows the use of materials that would discolor, degrade or interact with other substances when added to the contents of the container, to remain stable and/or inactive until the time of use.
Abstract: An inexpensive to manufacture dumbbell hardware design with secure, tight tolerance, non-rotating weights having a central handle with ends having a geometric shape and a central bore at least part way through each end, a means for securing one or more weights to the handle located at least partially within the central bore, and one or more weights, each including an interior element and a cast resistance, wherein the interior element provides tight tolerance with the handle having a circumference and a generally central void of a shape complementary to the geometric shape of the central handle, wherein the wherein the weights are secured by a locking bolt have corresponding threads with the central bore.
Abstract: An endoscope and stroboscope comprising an elongated rigid tube that includes an inner tube providing an optical path for viewing through said tube by a human being, an LED light source connected to said tube and a fiber optic bundle providing light transmission from said LED through and within said endoscopic and stroboscopic tube providing optical illumination from the distal end of said tube without interfering with the optical view for the user. The LED light source can be varied in intensity. A first end of the fiber optic bundle is a hemispherical concave shape abuts the LED light source.
Abstract: A contact lens reminder clock for use with a contact lens tray to remind wearers of disposable contact lenses of the exact day since the lenses were first used. The reminder clock includes dual digital display showing days (and/or hours) since the clock was reset and may be permanently or temporarily mounted to the contact lens tray housing the contact lenses. On the specific day that a wearer installs the contact lenses for the first time, the wearer would depress the reset button for each display which begins the continuous time display digitally in days (and hours if desired) for each lens from the initiation date so that the wearer is able to determine at any time how many days each lens has been used.
Abstract: A cellular PDA communication system for allowing a plurality of cellular phone users to monitor each others' location and status, to initiate cellular phone calls by touching a symbol on the display screen with a stylus or finger which can also include conferencing calling. The system also provides for remote activation of a cellular phone by an initiator causing the remote cellular phone to annunciate audio announcements, to call another phone number, to increase the volume of the speaker, to vibrate or to display images or videos. All this is accomplished with a conventional cellular phone PDA that includes GPS navigation with an enhanced improved software program.
Abstract: The present invention relates a low cost, highly insulated light weight prefabricated building assembly capable of providing a swift, efficient and economic construction of exterior walls, interior walls and roofs to form a sturdy building assembly. The present invention includes a plurality of exterior wall panels; a plurality of styrofoam exterior connection blocks; the plurality of exterior connection blocks being capable of joining the plurality of exterior wall panels that form an exterior wall of the building; a plurality of roof panels, where the plurality of roof panels form a roof of the building; a plurality of interior wall panels; and a plurality of interior connection blocks. The plurality of interior connection blocks are used to connect the plurality of interior wall panels that form at least one interior wall of the building.
Abstract: An artificial underwater memorializing catacomb and reef system and evocative environment for a visitor is made from one or more urns containing cremated remains imbedded at least partway within a plurality of concrete forms, whereby the concrete forms are interlocked and/or stacked to form the catacomb. One or more urns containing cremated remains is then interposed at least partway within the molds before the mixture sets, thereby forming one or more concrete forms when the mixture sets. A single module reducing beach erosion and providing a marine habitat includes a base portion, a middle portion having a flange, and an upper portion having an interior void and holes in the sloping sides. One or more urns are placed within reinforcing bars in the base and middle portions.
Abstract: The present invention is a lighting system for providing illumination to an aircraft evacuation slide. Light sources are safely utilized with an existing evacuation slide, a substantial improvement over prior assemblies that use a hard, plastic housing enclosing the light source. The invention increases light transmission, eliminates housing cracking, inadvertent puncturing, clouding, and decreases weight and cost of conventional slide systems. Each assembly comprises a mounting surface and a printed circuit board thereon, light sources, preferably light-emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted on the mounting surface, the light sources illuminating the aircraft evacuation slide, and a flexible containment covering, such as a heat shrink wrap that covers the assembly and protects the light sources. A protective shield can cover the mounting surface while allowing the LEDs to protrude through an aperture in the shield, protecting the LEDs from damaging forces while allowing light to illuminate the landing area.

Abstract: An inflatable barrier for simultaneously substantially enclosing several areas comprising an elongated, hollow barrier member formed of connected elements of flexible substantially fluid impervious material joined to form a continuous configuration of sufficient size and shape to simultaneously demark several areas on a substantially flat surface; and a connector to a source of a fluid and for conducting said fluid into the interior of said hollow barrier member to inflate it, said barrier member having at least one interior transverse element and a plurality of end elements for substantially encompassing at least one of the surrounded areas, and said continuous configuration in the inflated condition supported on said substantially flat surface substantially defining a perimeter surrounding said areas. The barrier is capable of holding signage, and includes enclosures for players in an area.
Abstract: A method and system for separating human waste solids from liquid for a shipboard toilet system that allows for the separation of solid waste, compaction of the solid waste and storage of solid waste. Wastes are deposited into a shipboard toilet system that uses vacuum toilets to flush waste into a large, inclined solid waste separation tank. A vacuum pump is attached to the separation tank to maintain negative pressure within the tank and system and to move the separated liquid stream. The separation tank has a separating screen disposed across its entire width to retain solid wastes while allowing liquid to flow through. After separation from liquids, solid waste material is compacted and dewatered with a helical screw through an inclined tube, and packaged for later removal as landfill or burned in the ship incinerator.
Abstract: A distributed processor architecture computer system and method that includes one or more processors and object oriented control program for real time and near-real time streaming data processing which is able to change the underlying communication mechanism at runtime, which includes the use of a software interface that hides the underlying communication mechanism. The present invention permits the accommodation of changes in communication resource availability due to link, equipment, or software failures or communication bandwidth resources being used by other collaborating programs. The ability to select a communication mechanism based upon cost performance for the particular program deployment and communication mechanism availability as described in the present invention.

Abstract: A truck bed cargo barrier for use with a truck bed for stabilizing cargo items longitudinally and laterally. The cargo barrier is slidable relative to the front and back of the truck bed along a track system. The cargo barrier may be locked in a user specified position along the track system to accommodate the size of the load being carried forming a divider, or may be flipped up into a temporary storage position for linear cargo exceeding the length of the bed. Tie down brackets for bungee cords are adjustably attached to the barrier frame to secure cargo laterally. A barrier panel is connected to laterally adjustable, rigid side plates, each including two spaced apart wheels that ride on a pair of longitudinal tracks on the side walls of the truck bed. The spaced apart wheels firmly secure the barrier panel in a vertical position. A manual actuator permits manual positioning of the barrier panel along the bed frame front to back.
Abstract: A boat having an inboard/outboard drive unit is disclosed herein. The drive unit includes an engine covered by a hood. The hood is movable between an open position and a closed position. Seats are positioned on opposite sides of the hood. The seats are carried with the hood as the hood is moved between the open and closed positions. Seats that are moveable to enhance access to the stern are also disclosed.
