  • Patent number: 6109882
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of jet technology. After the required pressure of the gaseous medium at the gas inlet of a liquid-gas jet apparatus is obtained, the ratio of the liquid pressure in the nozzle of the jet apparatus to the pressure at the outlet of the jet apparatus is reduced in magnitude. Such ratio is reduced in magnitude down to the value at which an abrupt increase of gas pressure occurs at the gas inlet of the jet apparatus. This value of the ratio is fixed or determines the minimum value for such ratio. Then the final value of the ratio of the liquid pressure in the nozzle of the jet apparatus to the pressure at the outlet of the jet apparatus is set. The final value of the ratio must be greater than the fixed one. The process provides an increased efficiency for a liquid-gas jet apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6016840
Abstract: This invention relates to the area of jet technology, primarily to liquid/gas ejector devices used for the creation of a vacuum. The technical problem, solved by the invention, is the increase of the coefficient of efficiency of the liquid/gas vacuum ejector device. This problem has been solved by this invention due to the optimization of the process of mixing gas and liquid media. This has been achieved due to the optimization of mixing gas and liquid media in the mixing chamber of the liquid/gas vacuum ejector device, containing an active nozzle (1) and a mixing chamber (2), the area of the minimal section of the latter being 201 to 800 times the area of the minimal section of the active liquid nozzle (1), and the ratio of the distance from the outlet section of the mixing chamber (2) to the outlet section of the active nozzle (1) to the diameter of the minimal section of mixing chamber (2) is in the range from 10 to 300.

  • Patent number: 5842667
Abstract: The invention relates to a mass transit method including a docking terminal where passengers are loaded onto a craft with integral passenger pod. The craft lifts vertically from the docking terminal until it reaches an appropriate commuting altitude within 1,000 feet of the ground at which time the craft will fly to a second docking terminal and vertically descend to the second terminal for unloading of passengers. The commuting routes are networked to create an urban-suburban-rural mass transit system. The utility area of the craft can be detached and replaced. For instance, a passenger pod can be interchanged with a cargo, an emergency medical service (rescue) or a military unit pod for an innovative and versatile means of transportation.
