    Abstract: Within audio telecommunications for audio-visual conferencing a means of reliable double-talk detection is required for several reasons, including control of residual echo, and control of adaptive algorithms used to estimate the echo. Existing techniques tend to either fail when echo return loss is very low or require highly complex algorithms to increase the range of detecting whether double-talk is occurring. The invention is based upon a new method of estimating the power envelope of the double-talk signal. This estimation is then employed in conjunction with a slightly modified version of an echo return loss enhancement (ERLE) based statistic, to form a double-talk decision based on a combination of the two statistics. The resulting decision rule works for both low-ERLE and high-ERLE situations, which is useful when there can be large variations in the magnitude of the echo path seen by the algorithms, or where near-end noise prevents the achievement of high ERLE.

Gains are calculated based on each calculated ratio and non-linear echo is cancelled based on the calculated gains.

The alignment scans are matched to the volume scans at lines of intersection thereof to determine the relative displacement of the volume scans to the sample due to sample motion.     Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for facilitating access from a control system to the memory of a processor across two buses, one of which acts as a bottleneck to communication between the control system and the processor. A bridge between the two buses acts as an intermediary. The control system issues simple diagnosis and data loading verification commands across a slow bus to the bridge. The bridge then performs the data intensive tasks by communicating with the processor through a faster bus. The bridge writes and reads data to the processor, and generates checksums of the written and read data. The bridge then returns status information to the control system indicative of the comparison of the checksums. In the case of memory diagnosis, the control system need only issue a simple command to the bridge through the slower, which then diagnoses the memory through the fast bus by writing and reading data, and returns a status to the control system through the slow bus.

This arrangement results in hitless reference switching.

In a second passive mode, an ordinary screen is used and 3D color filter glasses can be worn to see the 3D images. In an active mode, the display projects left-eye and right-eye images, with both first and second polarizations, time-sequentially and liquid crystal shutter glasses synchronized with the image sources can be worn to see 3D images. The dual-mode 3D projection display can be switched electronically to project 2D images when the same 2D image signals are fed to both micro-display panels.
