  • Patent number: 6202974
Abstract: A portable easel with adjustable board support which has a plurality of legs pivotally joined together by a head, the legs of which may be selectively spread apart when set up as an easel and folded together when collapsed, each leg composed of multiple interlocked sections biased together when in extended position but which may be manipulated for separation and folding into a bundle one section against another section for storage and transport, and a board support mounted on at least one leg which may be selectively adjustably moved to a desired position on any of the sections and moved against the leg on which it is mounted for storage and transport and extended away from the leg for holding a display on the easel when set up.

  • Patent number: 6155815
Abstract: An integral heated molding device for maintaining at a controlled elevated temperature material passing through an orifice in the device, which has a heat transfer central core secured to an overlying cover and having an annular space between the central core and cover containing a resistance wire wound ceramic core embedded and compacted in heat transfer electrical insulation material, with leads connecting the wire wound core to a source of power exiting from the device remote from the orifice. The invention also includes steps for making such a heated molding nozzle or bushing device.

  • Patent number: 6142435
Abstract: A mounting support and a component integral with the support for secured mounting in a panel having a keyhole aperture, wherein the keyhole aperture has a smaller aperture intersecting with a larger aperture, and the support has a base for seating on the panel, a finger extending from the base which spans the keyhole aperture, a channel depending from the base which enters the keyhole aperture and slides from the larger aperture into the smaller aperture, a flange having a dimension no greater than the larger aperture but greater than the smaller aperture and which overlays the bottom of the panel, and an engaging member on the finger which releasably locks the support in the keyhole aperture and secures the component on the panel when the base is slid over the smaller aperture.

  • Patent number: 6121038
Abstract: A process for pre-emptive potential in bioremediation of oil spills comprising the steps of fabricating cells of micro-organisms capable of degrading hydrocarbons, encapsulating the cells into pods dissolvable in a non-hydrocarbon environment such as water, introducing the pods into a body of petroleum contained in a vessel which if unintentionally fractured to release the body of petroleum into the non-hydrocarbon environment will also release the cells, causing the cells to open and allow the micro-organism to degrade the hydrocarbon and consume the oil spill. The process may also include the step of recovering pods which are not released into the non-hydrocarbon environment from the body of petroleum.

  • Patent number: 6075231
Abstract: A formed integral heated molding torpedo device for maintaining at a controlled elevated temperature material passing over an exposed surface of the device which has an integral casing containing a resistance wire wound core embedded in heat transfer electrical insulation material, with leads connecting the wire wound core to a source of power exiting from one end of the torpedo device, wherein the torpedo device is bent so that its heat transfer surface is arranged angularly to its end from which the leads exit. The invention also includes steps for making such a heated molding torpedo device.

  • Patent number: 5913615
Abstract: An open--closed sign structure fabricated and assembled from a pair of like sign body sections arranged back to back to form a sign body and having an area spaced apart between them, the sign body carrying a sign face visible from either side, wherein a shutter consisting of a pair of like shutter sections keyed together at a corresponding edge of each shutter section is engaged for slidable movement between the sign body sections, each shutter section carrying indicia visible from one face of the shutter selectively on opposed edges of the sign body depending upon the position of the shutter relative to the sign body, and fasteners for holding the sign body sections together and the shutter slidably engaged therebetween. The fasteners may also have mounting members, such as suction cups, for securing the assembled sign to a surface.
