  • Patent number: 7946643
Abstract: A tonneu cover assembly mountable to a open top truck bed of a pick up truck for covering the bed. The cover assembly includes a pair of side rail caps that are attachable to the side rails of the bed by a clamping system. A pair of door panels are hingedly mounted on respective side rail caps. The door panels are rotatable between a closed position where the bed is covered and open positions permitting access to the bed. A pair of actuators are connected to respective door panels and are operable to rotate the door panels between the closed and open positions. The actuators may operate to rotate one door more quickly than the second when opening the doors, and then reverse the speed of the doors when closing them enabling correct engagement between the inward sides of the doors. A quick release mechanism is provided to decouple a door from an actuator in case of a failure.

  • Patent number: 7895816
Abstract: An apparatus for combines for the collection of threshed material discharged from the combine and automatically dumping the collected material when a predetermined weight of material is accumulated. The apparatus includes a threshed material collector attached to the combine for rotation about a horizontal axis that is closer to a forward end of the collector than a rearward end of the collector. The collector includes a plurality of horizontally spaced tines extending in a rearward direction and position to collect material discharged from the combine. A counter weight is attached to the collector for controlling the amount of material collected before the collector rotates under the weight of the collected material to a dumping position where the collected material is removed from the collector.

  • Patent number: 7886693
Abstract: A pet bed having an upright column removably attachable at one end to the edge of a desk top, table top or other similar horizontal surface. The support column extends vertically upward from the desk top and supports a horizontal support member at an elevated position above the desk top. A cushion is attached to the support member and substantially covers an upper surface thereof, providing a comfortable resting place of an animal. The column is eccentrically attached to the support member and the support member is rotatable in a plane normal to the vertical axis of the column permitting the support member to be rotated above the desk top into a position where a maximum portion of the support member is positioned above the desk top and through various positions until a minimum portion of the support member is positioned above the desk top. The support member and attached cushion are removable from the column and can be used in a remote position as a self-supporting, free standing pet bed.

  • Patent number: 7874510
Abstract: Device for dispensing strapping material from a coil of the strapping material includes a carriage for receiving the coil of material such that the coil can be rotated about a longitudinal axis of the coil by pulling the material from the coil to unwind the material from the coil. The carriage supports the coil at circumferential spaced locations on the periphery of the coil, is adjustable to various widths or thickness of the coil, and operates to apply a proportional braking force to the coil at circumferential spaced locations on the periphery of the coil as a function of the weight of the coil. The carriage is mounted to a wheeled cart that includes various receivers for storing tools and supplies used in the process of bundling articles together with strapping.

  • Patent number: 7860571
Abstract: The Pain relief device used to relieve pain and promote faster healing in the bodies of humans and animals safely. A positive electrode touches the skin at the site of an injury and a negative electrode completely shielded with insulation is place on the skin at a spaced distance form the positive electrode. A low voltage direct current power source supplies a positive voltage to the positive electrode and a negative voltage to the negative electrode. Electrical stimulation occurs harmlessly, because the shielded negatively charged electrode or insulated pad, being an insulated sheet of aluminum foil produces an electric field in the body that is strong enough to cause a current to flow into the body at the site of the positive electrode. However, no current can flow at the site of the negative electrode because it is insulated and therefore no burns to the skin.

  • Patent number: 7850514
Abstract: An interactive sports training device has a plurality of light sources, multiple sensor means and a processor to facilitate the manoeuvring, passing and shooting of an object. Each sensor means is associated with one of the plurality of light sources, the sensor means being adapted to be triggered when an object is brought into close proximity with an activated light source. A processor means is coupled to the light sources and sensor means and is provided with at least one training program, and the processor means controls activation of the light sources according to at least one training program. When an object is placed in close proximity to an activated light source, the sensor communicates with the processor to deactivate the activated light source and to activate another light source in accordance with a training program. In use, it provides a system for simulating the unpredictable and competitive nature of multi-player sports by allowing a user to practice on his own in a ‘real life’ environment.

  • Patent number: 7827633
Abstract: A bed clothing assembly for a mattress including a mattress band and a unitary sheet assembly that is removably attachable to the mattress band for attaching and changing bedding. The mattress band encircles the sidewall of the mattress, and includes upper and lower edge portions that extending inwardly and continuously around the peripheral edges of the top and bottom surfaces of the mattress, respectively, when the mattress band is installed on the mattress. The unitary sheet assembly includes a bottom sheet and top sheet connected together as one unit. A plurality of fasteners around the bottom sheet permit the detachable securment of the bottom sheet to the mattress band to facilitate placing the unitary sheet assembly on the mattress. • Patent number: 7811143
Abstract: A shaft seal pressure compensation system for an underwater device such a remotely operated vehicle powered by motor driven thrusters where the shaft of the motor extends from a motor housing into the surrounding water and is sealed by a shaft seal by automatically supplying air to pressurize the thrusters to balance the internal pressure of the thrusters to match the ambient water pressure. The air is supplied by a variable volume container that responsive to a pressure differential between the external ambient pressure and an internal pressure within the variable volume gas container for adjusting the volume of the variable volume gas container so that the internal pressure equals the ambient pressure, and thus balancing the system.

  • Patent number: 7805236
Abstract: A passive control device is interposable between an oxygen sensor and an electric control unit of a motor vehicle to modify a reference voltage used by the electric control unit so that a richer fuel mixture is provided to an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle than would otherwise be provided in absence of the passive control device. The passive control device directly passes the voltage signal from the oxygen sensor to the electronic control unit without modification. The passive control device works with the electronic control unit to provide a richer fuel mixture without reprogramming the electronic control unit.

  • Patent number: 7802967
Abstract: A vertical axis wind turbine which includes a rotor having three radially extending blades spaced at even intervals about a central axis. Each radially blade having an outer edge that lies on an imaginary circle of a first diameter. Each radially extending blade including a plurality of spaced airfoil sub-blades separated by gaps for the passage of air therethrough. Each of sub-blade having a leading vertical edge, and a trailing vertical edge and being positioned with the trailing vertical edge along a common radius line of the imaginary circle. Each sub-blade is skewed such that its cord line is rotated negative 45 degrees with respect the radius of the imaginary circle. The airfoil sub-blades maximize energy production by creating a secondary wind flow of a higher velocity for impingement upon blades of the rotor, and utilize backpressure during the second half of a rotation cycle to efficiently break the rotor against overspeed.
