  • Patent number: 7739800
Abstract: An engine is connected to the upper end of a drive shaft housing and a work head with a string trimmer or blower or both is operatively connected to the lower end of the drive shaft housing and is rotatably driven by an engine rotating a drive shaft inside the drive shaft housing and connected to the working head. The drive shaft housing is rigidly connected to the working head and may be rotated about its longitudinal axis relative to the engine in any desired amount of rotation, but the preferred degree of rotation is 135° to move the working head from a trimming position with the rotating trimmer string in a horizontal position to an edging position with the rotating trimmer string in a vertical position and with the working head being displaced to the operator's right side for better viewing and control and operator comfort.

  • Patent number: 7690628
Abstract: A fastener for anchoring fencing to a post. The fastener includes first and second separable and complementary sections, each section have an inner and outer surface, a middle web portion, opposed first and second sides extend from opposite edges of the middle web portion in a direction outwardly from the middle web portion, and opposed first and second ends. Male coupling members extend in a direction outward from one of the sides of the first section and the second section has female receiving spaces on one of the sided. Wherein the male coupling members being biasable for engagement with the spaces to detachably secure the sections together with the inner surfaces facing one another such that the inner surfaces define an axial passage that extends from the first to the second ends of the sections, whereby the passage permits the fencing and post to be clamped together between the sections.

  • Patent number: 7644810
Abstract: A sports equipment bag with an integrated stool for storing, carrying and transporting sporting equipment while providing a foot support to aide a user in donning their sporting equipment. The foot support can be utilized by a single person alone to aid in putting their own equipment on or the foot support can be used in combination with the integrated stool to assist a first person in aiding a second person in donning equipment. The stool and foot support are integrated into the bag and the foot support is positioned within the bag's internal compartment. Along the bottom portion of the bag are a pair of spaced apart ground engaging wheels rotatably and a telescopic handle may be extendable from the bag, thus making the bag, stool and foot support easily storable and transportable.

  • Patent number: 7628385
Abstract: A fence edge guard including an elongated channel-shaped body member having a bottom, and upstanding opposed sidewalls extending upwardly from opposed side edges of the bottom and terminating at an open top, and an interior elongated channel defined by the bottom and said sidewalls. A plurality of openings are longitudinally spaced along bottom. A plurality of spring means are spaced longitudinally along the body for securing the body along the bottom edge of a chain link fence such that the bottom of the fence edge guard is urged upwardly towards the bottom edge of the chain link fence. The fence edge guard is useful in preventing vegetation from growing through the opens of the chain link fence, preventing damage and excess wear on line trimmer cutting lines, and for providing a gap between the bottom of the fence and the ground to permit trimming of vegetation below the fence.

  • Patent number: 7581340
Abstract: A removable scraper blade attachment for a toothed bucket of an earth working machine, such as a backhoe bucket, to allow the bucket to remove debris from a smooth surface such as a paved surface. A plurality of tooth receiving pockets are space along the upper surface of the mounting plate and are sized to receiving a single tooth. A scraper blade extends across a leading edge of the mounting plate and includes a beveled edge to improve cutting and scraping of the blade. The scraper blade attachment is readily removably attachable to the bucket and does not require modification to the lower lip of the bucket or require removal of teeth from the bucket. A self tensioning system is provided to insure the scraper blade attachment remains tightly secured to the bucket.

  • Patent number: 7475491
Abstract: A method and apparatus includes the coiling of an elongated article into a number of equal circumference coils through the provision of indicators spaced along a length of the article. Aligning the indicators of one set of indicators, a person can coil the elongated article into a first number of equal circumference coils and aligning the indicators of another set of indicators, a person can coil the elongated article into a second number of equal circumference coils. The first and second number of coils not being equal, i.e. the first number of coils may be four total coils and the second number of coils may be two total coils. The circumferences of the second number of coils being greater than the circumferences of the first number of coils, thereby allowing a person to choose how small or how large of a circumference of coil to create.

  • Patent number: 7468679
Abstract: An apparatus for mud pulse telemetry for transmitting information from a drill string positioned at a down hole location in a bore hole to a surface location, the drill string having a flow passage through which a drilling fluid flows is provided. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a rotor pulser having an uncompensated drive train comprising a unique uncompensated seal comprising a stacked array of seal elements. The uncompensated drive train provides for the direct coupling of a rotor to a drive motor. The drive motor is located within an internal housing that is filled with gas at atmospheric pressure. Additionally, a method of operating the apparatus is provided. The method includes measuring drilling fluid pressure within the flow passage to determine when a pipe connection is being made to the drill string to initiate the measurement of a down hole parameter. The down hole parameter information is transmitted to the surface through a series of encode pressure pulse generated in the drilling fluid.
