Abstract: The present invention provides a buckle and frame for a restraint system resisting to a harsh environment. The buckle comprising a frame having a base wall, the base wall includes a debris exit opening; and a cover which encloses the frame and forms at least one vent opening and at least one passage which couples the debris exit opening to the vent opening. Debris, dust and other foreign objects which find there way into the buckle are not necessarily trapped but rather are presented with a means of exiting the buckle via the vent opening.

Abstract: A process for fabricating an integrated circuit package includes: selectively etching a leadframe strip to define a die attach pad and at least one row of contact pads; mounting a semiconductor die to one side of the leadframe strip, on the die attach pad; wire bonding the semiconductor die to ones of the contact pads; releasably clamping the leadframe strip in a mold by releasably clamping the contact pads; molding in a molding compound to cover the semiconductor die, the wire bonds and a portion of the contact pads not covered by the clamping; releasing the leadframe strip from the mold; depositing a plurality of external contacts on the one side of the leadframe strip, on the contact pads, such that the external contacts protrude from the molding compound; and singulating to provide the integrated circuit package.

Abstract: A system for performing face registration and authentication using face information, and a method thereof. A set of readily distinguishable features for each user is selected at a registration step and only the set of features selected at the registration step is used at a face authentication step, whereby memory use according to unnecessary information and amount of data calculation for face authentication can be reduced. Thus, the present system has an advantage in that identity authentication through face authentication can be performed even under restricted environments of a USB token or smart card with limited resources. The present system further has advantages in that authentication performance is improved, as readily distinguishable feature information is used, and the time for face authentication is reduced, as face authentication is performed using the SVM built by using the optimal set of readily distinguishable features at a training step.

The invention further relates to a modified hyperbranched polyesteramide containing at least two ?-hydroxylamide ester groups and optionally also a hydroxyalkylamide endgroup with a degree of polymerisation of more than 19, as well as the use of these polyesteramides as rheology modifier in gas-oil or in diesel.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus for suppressing stimulated Brillouin scattering and the method thereof that a threshold fiber input power is raised in order to prevent loss of an inputted light by stimulated Brillouin scattering being generated in a case that a signal having a strong intensity is inputted to the optical fiber and so a light signal having more strong intensity can be inputted to the optical fiber. The apparatus for suppressing the SBS includes a plurality of first transmission unit, each of which has a wavelength separation, for transmitting information signals through a signal channel; and a second transmission unit for generating and transmitting a supervisory signal of which a modulation frequency and an intensity generates a phase modulation to the plurality of information signals, through a supervisory channel.

Abstract: Disclosed is an animation method of deformable objects using an oriented material point and generalized spring model. The animation method comprises the following steps of: modeling a structure of a deformable object into oriented material points and generalized springs; initializing forces and torques acting on the material points, calculating the forces acting on the material points owing to collision of the material points and gravity, calculating the spring forces and torques acting on the material points, obtaining new positions and postures of the material points; updating positions, velocities, postures and angular velocities of the material points based upon physics, and displaying and storing updated results. The oriented material point and generalized spring model of the invention contains the principle of the conventional mass-spring model, but can animate deformable objects or express their structures in more intuitive manner over the conventional mass-spring model.

Abstract: Disclosed are a system and method of sharing intrusion detection information detected at different networks and tracking the intrusion, to thereby defense against the intrusion on a network to which an intruder belongs, and a computer-readable medium storing a program for implementing the above method therein. The system detects an intrusion through the analysis of an input packet, adds information associated with the intrusion into the packet, creates an active packet and transmits the active packet to an address of an intruder, which transmitted the packet. Thereafter, the system tracks the intrusion, for all routes through which the intruder passed based on the active packet, and filters the packet associated with the intruder for the isolation thereof.

Abstract: In an apparatus for embedding digital watermarks into an image, a watermark embedding region extraction unit extracts an image region to contain watermarks from a wavelet transformed entire image. A watermark generation unit generates a watermark data row to be embedded according to a user's private key. A normalization operation unit normalizes the quantized data value by using a quantization unit into a normalized data value. An inverse quantization inversely quantizes and outputs the normalized data value. A watermark embedment unit embeds a watermark-embedded data value as a corresponding pixel data value into the watermark embedding region, wherein the watermark-embedded data value is obtained by subtracting, from the inversely quantized data value, the watermark data value added prior to the quantization.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for synchronizing user registration information in an inter-domain. In this synchronization method, the current position information of a random user is registered through a register message when the user moves from one user agent to another.
