  • Patent number: 7392822
Abstract: A liquid level controller including a pilot valve switchable between snap and throttle modes. A displacer translates changing liquid level in a tank into movement that is transferred to the pilot valve which will provide output gas to a control valve to allow or to prevent the discharge of fluid from the tank. The pilot valve has a throttle supply inlet and a snap supply inlet and a single output passage. When the pilot valve is in the throttle mode, the snap supply inlet is a vent passage and when the pilot valve is in the snap mode, the throttle supply gas inlet is a vent passage.

  • Patent number: 7377211
Abstract: A nut-cracking apparatus has an endless conveyor that delivers nuts from a hopper to a pickup point. A rotating turret is mounted to a frame and includes a plurality of nut-cracking units. The nut-cracking units engage nuts carried by the endless conveyor at the pickup point and remove nuts therefrom. The forward sprocket about which the endless conveyor rotates has an axis of rotation that is offset from the axis of rotation of the turret. The axis of rotation of the forward conveyor sprocket falls within a circular periphery defined by the nut-cracking units on the rotating turret.

  • Patent number: 7334597
Abstract: Bypass valve assembly that selectively establishes a bypass path for a fluid delivery system and having a body member with a fluid inlet and a bypass fluid outlet, a slidable piston assembly and a slidable cage assembly. Spring members bias the piston assembly and the cage assembly to a closed position to prevent fluid flow from the fluid inlet to the bypass fluid outlet when the delivery pressure is between an upper first threshold pressure value and a lower second threshold pressure value. When the delivery system pressure exceeds the first threshold pressure value, the piston assembly is moved to a first open position that permits fluid flow to the bypass fluid outlet; and when the delivery system pressure is less than the second threshold pressure value, the piston assembly is moved to a second open position to permit fluid flow to the bypass fluid outlet.

  • Patent number: 7322432
Abstract: The present invention relates to a diverter tool used in a pipe string used to lower a liner and a cutting apparatus on the end thereof into a partially cased wellbore. The diverter tool has a diverter body that defines a longitudinal flow passage and has the diverter ports defined therethrough to communicate a drilling fluid displaced through the pipe string into the liner into an annular space around the diverter tool. The diverter tool has a closure member so that when the wellbore is drilled to its desired depth, the diverter ports through which drilling fluid is diverted may be closed and the liner may be cemented in the wellbore.

  • Patent number: 7314082
Abstract: Methods of improving the pressure containment integrity of subterranean well bores are provided. The methods include pumping a fracture sealing composition into the well bore that rapidly converts into a high friction pressure sealing composition which is impermeable, deformable, extremely viscous and does not bond to the faces of fractures. Thereafter, the fracture sealing composition is squeezed into one or more natural fractures or into one or more new fractures formed in the well bore to thereby increase the pressure containment integrity of the well bore. The methods also include the prediction of the expected increase in pressure containment integrity.

  • Patent number: 7308918
Abstract: A portable system for transferring liquids, such as diesel fuel, from a first tank, such as a railcar, to a second tank, such as on a transport truck. The system is self-contained and comprises a pump driven by an engine fueled by the liquid being transferred. A meter measures the amount of liquid being transferred. An inlet hose is used to connect the system to the railcar, and an outlet hose is used to connect the system to the transport truck. Air from the truck may be used to blow any liquid out of the outlet hose after a transferring operation.

  • Patent number: 7273313
Abstract: A mixing apparatus includes an outer housing, or pressurized chamber, and an inner housing rotatably disposed in the outer housing. A bulk material inlet is defined at the upper end of the inner housing. The outer housing has a liquid inlet for the introduction of liquid. The inner housing has a plurality of liquid inlet ports for receiving liquid from the inner housing. The bulk material and liquid are mixed in the rotatable inner housing and pass through an exit of inner housing into the pressurized chamber. The slurry then passes out of the pressurized chamber through an outlet in the pressurized chamber. A rotor is disposed in and is connected to the inner housing. Rotation of the rotor causes rotation of the inner housing.

  • Patent number: 7244119
Abstract: Compact low NOx gas burner apparatus and methods for discharging fuel gas and air mixtures into furnace spaces wherein the mixture is burned in folded flame patterns and flue gases having low NOx content are formed are provided. A burner apparatus of the invention is basically comprised of a housing having a burner tile attached thereto and means for introducing air therein. The burner tile has an opening therein with a wall surrounding the opening which extends into a furnace space. The exterior sides of the wall are divided into sections by radially positioned baffles with alternate sections having the same or different heights and slanting towards the opening at the same or different angles. Primary fuel gas mixed with flue gases and air is discharged through the burner tile. Secondary fuel gas is discharged adjacent to the external slanted wall sections whereby the secondary fuel gas mixes with flue gases in the furnace space.
