Abstract: A splash lubrication system is provided for motor vehicle transmissions and comprises an oil sump (42) in the bottom portion of a case (30). The case (30) accommodates a transmission shaft (31) provided with gears (34 to 37) which are immersed in the oil at least partly when the said oil sump (42) is filled completely. In order to prevent the synchronizing mechanism from being blocked by cold and, consequently, very viscous oil in the presence of extremely low operating conditions--a condition which could lead to unsynchronized faulty gear shifting operations and, thus, damage to the transmission, the oil sump (42) is connected with a cavity (33) into which oil is drawn from the oil sump (42) under low operating temperature conditions of the transmission. To this end, preferably, an expansion body (38) is arranged in a cavity (33) in a transmission shaft (31) which contracts under cold conditions, and the cavity (33) is connected with the oil sump (42).
Abstract: Safety mechanism for locks (electronic lock) comprising a pick-up performing the function of a key and a sensor performing the function of a lock part. The pick-up is provided with a pre-determined surface arrangement of magnetically permeable, preferably inactive material in the form of soft-iron pins forming exciting elements, which forms a code. For detecting the code of the pick-up, the sensor is provided with an arrangement of sensor elements in a surface matrix of the same geometrical extension, which sensor elements can be varied as to their ohmic resistance by a change in the distribution of the magnetic field lines and take the form of magnetically controllable magneto-resistors. The magneto-resistors are set up, preferably, in the manner of an integrated circuit.
Abstract: A miniaturized overload protection device for connecting electrical components and two or more electrically conductive wires and, more particularly, for connecting the adjacent end parts of the two wires together and connecting the other ends to the electrical components, comprising a protective device for connecting two electrically conductive wires together, and electrical components adapted to be connected with the electrically conductive wires. The protective device includes a binder having a low melting point, which is solid at ambient temperature to surround the adjacent end parts of the two wires when they are placed together and provides the mechanical strength therefor; and a coating made from a rigid material completely surrounding the solid binder and confining this binder in position at the time of its melting caused by a high current flowing through the conductive wires, thus maintaining the connection between the conductive wires.
Abstract: A read head for a Wiegand wire has an E-core with a pick-up coil for the "1" bit wound on one outer leg and a separate pick-up coil for the "0" bit wound on a second outer leg. The E-core is composed of a relatively thin ferromagnetic E-laminae spaced from a relatively thick E-laminae. Between thin and thick laminae in each leg there is an appropriately polarized magnet. The result is to establish a first field across the face of the read head between the center leg and a first outer leg. This first field reads the one bits. Similarly, a second field between the center leg and the other outer leg reads the zero bits. Each one bit wire is on one side of the code strip and each zero bit wire is on the other side of the code strip so that the one bit and zero bit wires are passed respectively across the first and second reading fields provided by the read head.

Abstract: To provide a random device for randomly testing logic circuits, particularly microprocessors, it is necessary to use a device for transforming the occurrence probability of logic vectors to produce vectors sequences having time-changing probabilities. Such a device comprises a memory or an equivalent circuit to which are applied input logic vectors (Ve1, Ve2 . . . Vn) having respective occurrence probabilities which are different or the same and containing, in the respective areas of different range, the different categories of output vectors (Vs1, Vs2 . . . Vsi). Thereby the occurrence probability of a predetermined output vector (Vs1, Vs2 . . . Vsi) depends both on the range of the memory area wherein said vector is stored, that is to say the number of elementary positions or eight-bit bytes which are included within said area, and on the respective probabilities (pr1, pr2 . . . prn) of the input vectors (Ve1, Ve2 . . . Ven) corresponding to the addresses of the elementary positions, m1, m2 . . .
