Abstract: A lyophilization device configured for use in a lyophilization process has a body defining a chamber for receiving a liquid to be lyophilized, and a stopper creating a liquid-tight seal between the chamber and ambient atmosphere to form a sealed, empty sterile chamber. The stopper is adapted so that the chamber may be sterile filled with the substance through the stopper. A fluid passageway is formed through the stopper, through which the chamber is evacuated. The substance is lyophilized, the fluid passageway is closed, and the lyophilized substance is hermetically sealed within the chamber.
Abstract: A system (100) for sensing a temperature of a light emitting diode (LED). The system may comprise an LED having a spectral output centered at a first wavelength, a first filter (104) that transitions from attenuation to transmission at about the first wavelength, and a second filter (106) that transitions from transmission to attenuation at about the first wavelength. The system may also comprise a first sensor (108) positioned to sense a first intensity of the LED through the first filter and a second sensor (110) positioned to sense a second intensity of the LED through the second filter. It will be appreciated that a single sensor may be substituted instead of the first and second sensors, provided that the single sensor is capable of selectively viewing the LED through the first and the second filters. The system may also comprise a computer (112) configured to derive a temperature of the LED considering the first intensity and the second intensity.
Abstract: An apparatus for communicating with an RFID tag is provided which has a radio communicating device configured to conduct radio communication with a plurality of individual RFID tags constituting a single tag group and a single representative RFID tag associated so as to represent the tag group. A first information obtainment portion is configured to conduct first communication for search of the representative RFID tag corresponding to the individual RFID tag to be searched and to obtain information from the representative RFID tag; a switching determination portion configured to determine if the first communication in information obtainment satisfies a predetermined switching condition. A second information obtainment portion configured to conduct second communication for search of the individual RFID tag to be searched in a communication mode different from that of the first communication if the determination is satisfied and to obtain information from the individual RFID tag.
Abstract: A single unified server transmits/receives information in a common interface format with respect to a plurality of service servers and a portable terminal and has a common database in a data format corresponding to the common interface format, and the plurality of service servers connects to clients in a specific interface format to provide services by individual applications, respectively, and coverts a data format between higher-rank data transmitted/received in the common interface format and lower-rank data transmitted/received in the specific interface format. The portable terminal transmits/receives information in the common interface format using the application.
Abstract: The rail of a longitudinal guide of a longitudinal adjustment device of a motor vehicle seat includes one rail profile, at least one bearing block including a bearing hole, a bearing shaft extending through the bearing hole and a flap, which is pivotal about the bearing shaft. The bearing block is made from the material of the rail profile by cutting out a border of the bearing block and by bending the thus obtained blank for the bearing block about a bending line.
Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustment device of an automotive vehicle. It comprises a movable adjustment part the position of which is adjustable according to the user's wishes. The adjustment part comprises at least a first piece and a second piece. These pieces are fixedly joined together in a connection region. Each piece comprises a border that is connected to the border of the other piece in the connection region. One piece may be made from a higher quality material and the other piece from a lower quality material. One piece may be made from a thinner material and the other piece from a thicker material.

Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for reducing motion artifacts in x-ray imaging systems. The detector system output is sampled at a rate higher than the x-ray exposure rate to reduce blurring associated with motion of the detector and/or object being scanned.
Abstract: In the case where printing density is set to 180 dpi and temperature of a thermal head is under t5, low-density dot-expanding printing is carried out wherein a dot occupying two printing lines for 360 dpi is formed and thermally transferred onto a surface tape by conveying the surface tape and an ink ribbon by two printing lines for 360 dpi in a single printing cycle with heater elements to be used for printing based one line of line printing data being heated.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to in-situ, line-of-sight measurements of partial pressure and temperature associated with at least one flow channel of a fuel cell. Tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) is employed for measurements for which water transition states sensitive to temperature and partial pressure are utilized. Measurements are achievable for a fuel cell operating under both steady-state and time-varying load conditions. For steady-state operation, the water partial pressure increases with increasing current density on a cathode side of the fuel cell due to production of water by electrochemical reaction. Temperature in a gas phase remains relatively constant since the fuel cell housing temperature is controlled externally. For non-steady-state operation of the fuel cell through a time-varying current profile, the water partial pressure responds to the load changes rapidly and follows a current profile.
