Abstract: A shifting device for the transmission of a motor vehicle with a curved printed circuit board inserted under the curved cover and to a process for preparing this curved printed circuit board with the components inserted. The shifting movements performed at the gearshift lever of the shifting device are electronically transmitted to the transmission. The components are inserted according to the present invention on a rigid printed circuit board in the flat state and the printed circuit board is soldered in the curved state, wherein the printed circuit board, consisting of glass fiber-reinforced epoxy resin, remains in this curved state after cooling due to its inner structure.
Abstract: A computer network management software program in a network management device, with a device description language (DDL) file providing an abstraction of features of a network device in a computer network. The DDL file is a human readable text file. A management application monitors and controls a plurality of the network devices on the computer network. The management application includes a configfile parser package for parsing each of the DDL files during executing of the management application to provide information from each of the DDL files to the management application. The management application also includes a hotsystemsnmp package for polling each of the plurality of network devices according to polling features of the respective network devices as determined by the configfile parser package.
Abstract: A ball-and-socket joint preferably for vehicle suspensions or steerings of motor vehicles with a joint housing, with a housing cover closing the joint housing on one side, and with a pivot pin, which is mounted rotatably and deflectably in at least one bearing shell using a spherical bearing surface, is described. The bearing shell is in turn stationarily fixed in the joint housing and an elastic buffer element (6) is arranged on the outside of the joint housing (3) facing away from the pivot pin (1).
Abstract: The present invention is related to a kind of decorative lighting string structure comprising multiple lamp bulbs, multiple lamp bases or lamp holders and multiple electrical conductors, receptacles, flasher control and non-electrical connector, being connected in series, parallel or series and parallel to form a complete electrical circuit, said non-electrical connector and the electrical conductor of electrical circuit to be wound into twister, said bulb or lamp base or lamp holder being trapped into a proper place of twister formed between electrical conductor or non-electrical connector and fixed in the connecting place of lamp base and electrical conductor, said bulb and lamp base or lamp holder to be limited to a proper interval to combine into regular or irregular patterns of triangular, rhombic, rectangular or square units, said units being connected and arranged into a certain appearance, design or words and to obtain a decorative effect.
Abstract: A spring rate-switchable engine bearing with a supporting bearing element and a supporting element is presented, which has at least two spring elements arranged in parallel or in series between the supporting bearing element and the supporting element. One ofthe spring elements can be blocked by a switching device, in which the switching device has a double toggle mechanism. Extraordinarily high axial forces in the range of >10 kN can be transmitted due to this design according to the present invention in the blocked state of the spring element, and an especially compact design is also obtained due to this design at the same time. Moreover, a lightweight and small motor operator drive can be directly integrated in the engine bearing according to the present invention due to the extraordinarily high power amplification of the double toggle mechanism being used without additional supplementary components being necessary outside the bearing.
Abstract: A process for recognizing the course of the road ahead for a motor vehicle shall be provided, in which the velocity of the vehicle is determined and the position and the velocity of objects located ahead are determined by rigid search antennas oriented in the direction of travel via a radar sensor system, and which makes possible a simple, forward-looking recognition of the course of the road by special evaluation of the measured position and velocity data available. The roadside-specific targets are filtered out of the fixed target by the threshold value comparison of the fixed target amplitudes, and the current distances between the vehicle and the side of the road are determined in discrete angle ranges by ordering filtration. The distances from the side of the road, estimated for each angle range, are sent as characteristics to a classifier for the prediction of the curve type lying ahead, and they are used as support values for a nonlinear regression to obtain a curvature parameter of the curve.
Abstract: An installation for positioning and welding body parts of different types of motor vehicles. The installation includes a mounting frame (5) which is guided on a conveyor line and which has receiving elements for at least some vehicle body parts. Positioning devices (8) are provided for the vehicle body parts (6) and at least one robot is provided for carrying out welding work. The invention is very flexible in terms of product modifications. The mounting frame (5) has positioning devices for at least some vehicle body parts (6) and clamping devices for the vehicle body parts. An additional (lower) conveyor line (10) is located under the first conveyor (2). One of several auxiliary mounting frames (12) is guided on the additional conveyor line. Parking positions (13) for the auxiliary mounting frames (12) are provided next to the lower conveyor line (10).

Abstract: A small-sized motor includes an insulation holder (16) which is integrally molded from a synthetic resin. The insulation holder (16) includes a cover portion (13) for-covering the casing cover (5) from the outside thereof, and a pair of brush holders (12) which project from the cover portion (13) into the interior of the motor, while passing through cut portions formed in the casing cover (5). Each of the brush holder (12) supports a brush arm (17) and an input terminal (11) connected thereto. The brush arm (17) supports a brush (18). Bearings (3) and (6) for the shaft are respectively supported at the center of the bottom portion of the casing (2) and at the center of the casing cover (5). Thus, it becomes possible to realize stable bearing alignment and to provide insulation outside the motor to thereby enable attachment of an electrical element to the motor without use of any additional insulation means.
Abstract: A compressor, especially for compressing the fuel gas for a gas turbine, is controlled by a throttling member (9) arranged on the intake side of the compressor as a function of the gas consumption of the user (7) such that the flow cross section is reduced during a reduction in gas consumption. The intake-side throttling member may be additionally controlled as a function of the pressure on the intake side of the compressor. Additional control circuits, especially an end pressure controller (19), which maintains the end pressure by acting on the guide vanes or on the speed of rotation of the compressor, and/or a pump surge limiter (33), which acts on a blow-by valve (29) connecting the outlet side to the intake side of the compressor (3), may be additionally present.
Abstract: A lighting device (26) for arrangement on the external or internal rear view mirror of a motor vehicle is provided with a light source (27), the light rays of which emerge at a mirror housing opening and are deflected at a transparent light refraction element (33) arranged in the beam path. The plate-like light refraction element (33) has, at least on one side, a surface structure (36) by means of which the light refraction element is divided into several light refraction zones. To achieve a deflection of the light into a preferred direction the light refraction element (33) is designed in the manner of a Fresnel prism (33), the light refraction zones corresponding to prism zones of a prism body which are pushed together in stepwise manner. To intensify the deflection of the light beam into the preferred direction a decentralized condenser lens (31) may be arranged in front of the Fresnel prism (33).

Abstract: A device for the selection of the sinkers for the manufacture of designed terry cloth knitwear on circular knitting machines and stocking knitting machines. Each sinker (13) is capable of oscillations in a vertical plane between a canceled, resting position, in which its tail end (21) is not intercepted by a return cam (24), and an operating position, in which its tail end interacts with the return cam for the longitudinal movements of the sinker. The sinker also has a bottom part that interacts with inlet and outlet cams, and the sinker can be moved from the canceled, resting position to the operating position by a selection device acting on an oscillating selector associated with the shaft of the sinker.
Abstract: A ball-and-socket joint for motor vehicles is described which includes a housing (3), a bearing shell (4), which is inserted into the housing and accommodates a joint ball (1.3) of a ball pivot (1) exiting from the housing on at least one side movably in all directions. The ball pivot is provided with a connection contour (1.4) on the side opposite the joint ball. The ball-and-socket joint also includes a sealing element (2) in the form of bellows, which is sealingly in contact with the housing, on the one hand, and with a shoulder (1.5) of the ball pivot, on the other hand. A circular ring collar (1.1) provided with an undercut contour is made in one piece with the ball pivot (1). The sealing element (2) is inserted with its area (2.1) that is sealingly in contact with the ball pivot (1) into the annular space (1.2) formed by the undercut under elastic pretension.

Abstract: A cut optical disk is provided. The optical disk includes a data region which may be read by and optical disk reader (CD/CD-ROM/DVD reader). Ticket/pass information as well as anti-counterfeit feature may be provided in a graphics region or in the data region or both. The data region may be provided with audio and/or video data. The data region may also have multimedia presentations which may be presented on a personal computer or through a DVD reader etc. The data region may also have data which is read for gaining access to the event or facility. The graphics region also may have machine readable features such as bar codes. Additionally, most printing techniques may be used in the graphics region to provide information and aesthetic attributes and attributes to avoid counterfeit problems. The cut optical disk includes a standard central opening (of a CD/CD-ROM/DVD type). The data region is provided in a region around the central opening. The data region may be on both sides of the disk.
Abstract: The filter for eliminating a carrier signal from a modulating signal generated by a circuit supplying a load (Z) comprises a filtering circuit (L, C; L′, C′) and a cancellation network (Lx, Cx, V2; Lx, Cx, Lx′, Cx′) which, when the load is connected to said filter, subtracts from the load a current equal to the residual carrier signal passing through said filtering circuit (L, C; L′, C′).

The other ends of the contact elements (32) have pairs of insulation displacement contact parts (28). The pairs of contact parts (28) enable two wires to be connected to each contact element (32). The contact elements (32) are formed from blanks (56a, 56b) stamped from a strip as a lead frame 54. Contact portions (38), on which each pair of contact parts (28) are formed, are formed in rows at each edge of the lead frame strip, with the spring contact portions (40) extending inwardly from the strip edges at 45° to the strip edges.
Abstract: A process is provided for providing a metal element and removing portions of the metal at a series of location at a section of the metal element. By removing portions of the metal element a plurality of webs are provided separating the holes where the material has been removed. The webs are subsequently pressed to allow the webs to expand into the region of the holes and to form a depressed region based on the depressed surfaces of each of the webs relative to the surrounding web seat. The resulting product provides a metal piece such as a sheet metal element wherein a groove or depression is formed on one side without any extension or protrusion on the other side. A system is also provided using the metal element in combination with a gasket element and another component. This system provides an effective EMI barrier.
Abstract: An orbiting head is rotatably mounted in the housing. The orbiting head has an axial end with a grinding surface for contact with the workpiece having its surface finished. The orbiting head defines a fluid passage with one end having an opening at the grinding surface. A spindle arbor is connected to the orbiting head and rotates with the orbiting head. The spindle arbor also defines a passage having one end connected to the passage of the orbiting head, and having another end connected to a fluid source. A drive is connected to the spindle arbor for driving the spindle arbor and the orbiting head in rotation. The orbiting head is rotated, and the grinding surface is placed into contact with the surface of the workpiece, and in relative rotation to the surface of the workpiece. Fluid is then moved through the passages from the fluid source to the opening in the grinding surface, and from the opening to an area between the grinding surface and the workpiece.
