  • Patent number: 5125633
Abstract: An setup folding machine with at least two folding stations (F1, F2), which are formed by a pair of folding rollers (W1/W2; W2/W3) each. An intake device is provided including two feed rollers (T1, T2), which determines the speed of feed of the material to be folded, the intake device is located in a feed web (4) moving past the first folding station (F1). A enclosure feed mechanism is positioned directed toward the first folding station (F1), arranged behind the intake device. In order for an enclosure to be able to be optionally inserted into the first or second fold, the first folding station (F1) is associated with a knife-like deflecting member (6), which can be moved to the first folding station (F1) while the material is being deflected at the same time to form a fold, and can be actuated individually for each folding process by an electronic control device (21).

  • Patent number: 5125887
Abstract: Downstream of the welding and cutting bars (14, 16), a crosspiece (18) interacts with two pressure elements (20, 34) which act alternately in order to retain the manufactured articles on said crosspiece, engaging in each cycle the new manufactured article to be accumulated; downstream of said welding bars and said crosspiece, a transporter element (60A), endowed with a movement which corresponds to that of the manufactured article under formation, moves with an active trajectory above the stack under formation (PO) and assists it to extend above the stack under formation; said transporter element (60A) removes itself from below said manufactured article when the latter is engaged by the first pressure element (20).

  • Patent number: 5125210
Abstract: A device for covering bales of unpacted fiber materials includes a winding device, which has spaced apart substantially parallel first and second rolls of bale covering material, on which a single covering material is wound such that the material extends between the two rolls of material. A bale of the fibrous material is formed on a support which, in one embodiment, comprises a carriage so that there is a relative movement between the bale support and the winding device, so as to cause the support with the bale to move through the plane of the covering material, thus, cause the material to wrap around the adjacent end and the sides, and up to the front end which is opposite the adjacent end. Covering material ends, which are arrived at the front of the bale are directed to a clamping device so that they are closed in the front of the bale.

  • Patent number: 5125705
Abstract: A construction for mounting an automobile bumper to an automobile frame. Upwardly extending brackets are provided at tips of two side members of the frame. Threaded bores are formed on top surfaces of the brackets and threaded bores are formed on side surfaces of the side members of the frame. An upper and lower part of the bumper is provided with a first and second stay extending toward the frame. A threaded through hole is formed at a tip of each stay. A rear portion of the bumper is placed in abutment with a front surface of the brackets so as to place a tip of the first stay on the top surface of the bracket. A tip of the second stay is placed along the side surface of the side members. Screws are provided through the through holes in the first and second stays to engage the screws threadably in the threaded bores in the brackets and the side members respectively.

  • Patent number: 5123498
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for the automatic release of a safety belt. A measuring device is used to measure the tensile force of the safety belt. Once the tensile force exceeds a limit a delay timer is started. After a predetermined time has expired the apparatus automatically releases the seat belt from a support. In one embodiment of the invention if the tensile force of the safety belt is exceeded again during the predetermined delay time the delay timer is started again from the beginning and the safety belt is only released after the predetermined delay time has expired after the last time the tensile force exceeded the limit. The apparatus also has devices for manually locking and releasing the safety belt from the support.

  • Patent number: 5123594
Abstract: A vehicle heating system with an engine-independent heater (2) and a heat carrier circuit (14). A feed line (24) leads from the internal combustion engine (8) driving the vehicle to the heater (2) and from there to a heating heat exchanger (10). A return line (30) leads from the heating heat exchanger (10) to the internal combustion engine (8), and a control device (6) for the heater (2). The heat carrier circuit (14) has a connection line (36) leading from the return line (30) to the feed line (24) in front of the heater (2), so that a short circuit excluding the internal combustion engine (8) is formed. The switching over from the short circuit to full heat carrier circuit is performed by the control device (6) of the heater (2) and an on-off solenoid valve (38).

  • Patent number: 5123176
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a technique which comprises the steps of stopping the rotation of a treating drum in a deodorizing step, introducing the outside air into a treating tank through an upper opening provided in the upper portion of the treating tank or the upper portion of a recovery air duct, simultaneously exhausting a solvent gas from the treating tank through a lower opening provided in the lower portion of the treating tank or a button trap portion so slowly as not to agitate the solvent gas in the treating tank by an exhaust means connected to a solvent recovery device in the condition that the treating drum is stopped, in order to replace the solvent gas in the treating tank with the outside air, and reusing the solvent gas through the solvent recovery device once or several times. In addition, the present invention is further directed to an improvement of the above-mentioned technique.

  • Patent number: 5121509
Abstract: The overflow and drain fitting has a drain pipe (10), into which a closing plug (4), a float (3), as well as a mushroom-shaped plug (2) are inserted. The closing plug (4) can be lifted via bars (15), thus opening a partition (10b) between a riser channel (6b) and a return channel (6c) of a hidden riser pipe (6). With a sealing edge (2c) of a mushroom-shaped plug (2), the float (3) forms a check valve, which prevents water that may be contaminanted from returning into the basin (5). The closing plug (4), the float (3), and the mushroom-shaped plug (2) are loosely connected to each other via grasping arms (4b, 3b) and can be lifted out of the drain pipe (10) together as one unit to clean the fittings.

  • Patent number: 5120297
Abstract: The present invention describes an apparatus for creasing and cutting an endless web of cardboard. A pair of rollers operates on the web while another pair of rollers is in an inactive position where the tools mounted on the rollers can be moved to new positions. When it is time for different operations to be performed on the web the original rollers working on the web are removed from their working position and the rollers previously in the inactive position are moved to the working position. The rollers now in the working position have had their tools aligned for the new operation while they were in the inactive position. The rollers originally in the working position are now in an inactive position where the tools on these rollers can be aligned for another operation. Each pair of rollers is independently driven to spin independent of the position of the roller.

  • Patent number: 5119808
Abstract: A respirator arrangement including a protective covering, particularly an antismoke hood, and a respiratory connection which is connected to a chemical that absorbs water vapor and CO.sub.2 and releases oxygen, and whose covering or hood material consists of a coated composite material. The coated composite material includes a support fabric of tear-resistant, heat-resistant, and water vapor repellent fibers formed such that the material for the protective covering and the components carrying the respiratory gas stores or releases the smallest possible amount of water vapor, and is resistant to breakage and tearing while having elasticity and suppleness, and can be processed easily. The composite material has a support fabric 1 of glass fibers 2 that has a silane interlayer 5 as adhesion promoter, to which is applied a PVC coating 3 on the side facing the surroundings, and to which is applied a silicone coating 4 on the surface away from the PVC coating 3.
