  • Patent number: 7373754
Abstract: A safety edge element made of flexible material includes a flat electric conductor, a rounded electric conductor as well as a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a base for the connection to a door or gate, a top with a seat to receive the flat electric conductor and two lateral sides to flexibly connect the base with the top. The base, top and lateral sides define a chamber. The second portion has a top and two lateral sides for the engagement with the top of the first portion and a seat arranged in the top of the second portion to receive the rounded electric conductor so that the rounded electric conductor is spaced from the flat electric conductor when the safety edge element is at rest and so that the rounded electric conductor is brought into contact with the flat conductor when the safety edge element experiences forces in orthogonal and inclined directions with respect to the base of the first portion.

  • Patent number: 7374723
Abstract: A device, process and system are provided for collecting and releasing a liquid sample, especially saliva. A defined saliva sample, i.e., a filtered, approximately homogeneously mixed saliva sample of a predetermined volume is made available in the simplest possible manner. A sampling tip (2) is provided made of a dimensionally stable and porous material, which is moved with its mouthpiece (4) in the mouth of a test subject for one to two minutes and takes up saliva based on the capillary action. A reagent liquid enters the pores of the sampling tip (2), mixes with the saliva there and is subsequently fed from a reagent depot by the action of pressure. The saliva and the reagent liquid are finally discharged as a droplet (40) in the filtered and mixed state, either into the cavity (10) of the sample collector or into a filter mixer.

  • Patent number: 7364616
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a wafer release method capable of releasing a wafer safely, simply and certainly and improving a wafer releasing rate, a wafer release apparatus and a wafer release transfer machine using the wafer release apparatus. A wafer release method of the present invention comprises the steps of: pressing the uppermost wafer along an axis direction (L-L?) shifted by an angle in the range of from 15 to 75 degrees from a crystal habit line axis (A-A?) or (B-B?) of the uppermost wafer clockwise or counterclockwise; bending upwardly the peripheral portion of the uppermost wafer so as to cause a bending stress in the uppermost wafer in the axis direction (L-L?) shifted by the angle; blowing a fluid into a clearance between the lower surface of the uppermost wafer and the upper surface of the lower wafer adjacent thereto; and raising the uppermost wafer for releasing.

  • Patent number: 7364765
Abstract: During the defatting of coconut gratings from freshly harvested coconuts, the gratings are cooled to temperatures at which crystallization, i.e., solidification of the fat components occurs, before the coconut gratings are pressed. However, this temperature must not drop below the freezing point of water, preferably <2° C., in order to avoid crystallization of the aqueous/liquid components of the coconut milk. As a result, the aqueous/liquid coconut milk with reduced fat content is separated from the coconut gratings in the next pressing. To separate the coconut oil from the coconut gratings, these are subsequently heated to temperatures at which the coconut oil becomes liquid in order to then separate it from the coconut gratings by pressing. The coconut oil (virgin coconut oil) is now obtained in an extremely efficient and gentle manner.

  • Patent number: 7364206
Abstract: A compression fitting for rigid or semi-rigid pipes comprising an internal element 11 onto which the pipe 12 is fitted and into which at least one circumferential groove 13 is machined and an external sleeve 20 usually cylindrical is positioned around the pipe and intended to be deformed by radial compression to push the wall of the pipe inside said groove. The external wall of the sleeve 20 bears a circumferential protruding bead 22 in line with its area which is found in line with the groove of the internal element with interposition of the wall of the pipe, so that the compression of the sleeve by action of a cylindrical pressing wall 30 acts on the bead to deform the sleeve with the purpose of pushing the wall of the pipe inside the groove of the internal element.

  • Patent number: 7362242
Abstract: A photosensor module is composed of a light-receiving element module accommodating a light-receiving element, and a light-emitting element module accommodating a light-emitting element, which modules are separate, paired components. One of the paired light-receiving element module and light-emitting element module is mounted on a printed circuit board of a board unit, which is fixed to an end surface of a motor. After a code wheel is attached and fixed to the motor shaft along the axial direction of the motor shaft, a generally L-shaped module holder, which accommodates the other of the paired light-receiving element module and light-emitting element module, is mounted to the board unit. Thus, the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element are positioned such that these elements face each other via the optical modulation track portion of the code wheel.
