  • Patent number: 6643961
Abstract: By providing a unique, pre-printed housing member within which a plurality of pre-printed display members are operatively interconnected for sequential display relative to each other in a unique, co-operative, continuously unfolding construction, a unique, hands-on, printed, visually exciting and interest-generating multi-panel product is attained. In the present invention, a principal housing or first element is provided which incorporates a front panel and a rear panel mounted in juxtaposed, spaced relationship with each other, defining a first interior zone therebetween. Preferably, each panel comprises an eye-catching, visual display for generating consumer interest. In addition, a second element is mounted between the front panel and a rear panel of the first element in a manner which enables the second element to pivot outwardly from the first element from a first fully stowed position to a second fully displayed position.

  • Patent number: 6636610
Abstract: By providing an enclosure having an acoustically optimum size and an effective or virtual air volume for optimum performance, a loudspeaker system is realized which is able to faithfully reproduce desired input signals, particularly, lower frequencies or bass sounds, in a seemingly small or undersized enclosure. In addition, the loudspeaker system of the present invention eliminates the distortion components found in prior art systems. Preferably, the loudspeaker enclosure of the present invention is cylindrical in cross-section, comprises the loudspeaker or driver mounted at one end of the cylinder, and an inwardly extending hemispherical baffle sealingly mounted to the opposed end of the cylindrical enclosure. In addition, a plurality of holes or vents are formed in the rear baffle.

  • Patent number: 6615518
Abstract: By providing any desired stationery product with a movable or removable panel member which cooperates with the surface or body of the stationery product, a unique indicia retaining and displaying system is realized. Preferably, the panel member is movably or removably mounted to the stationery product for ease of insertion of an indicia bearing member and secure retention thereof when the panel member is returned to its original position. In addition, the panel member preferably comprises a transparent zone, in order to enable the indicia bearing member to be easily viewed.

  • Patent number: 6616997
Abstract: By achieving an extruded, foamed core formed from plastic material peripherally surrounded and integrally bonded with a cooperating synthetic, plastic, extruded, outer layer, a unique, multi-component, multi-layer synthetic closure is provided which may be employed as a bottle closure or stopper for any desired product, whether the product is a liquid, a viscous material, or a solid distributed in a bottle or container and dispensed through the open portal of the container neck. The present invention achieves a mass producible, resilient, synthetic bottle closure which is employable for any desired bottle, including wine. By employing the present invention, a multi-component or multi-layer synthetic closure is attained which possesses physical properties substantially equal to or better than the physical properties found in cork material, which has caused such cork material to be the principal closure material for wine bottles.

  • Patent number: 6603862
Abstract: By providing a spherically shaped housing or enclosure containing one or more drivers or speakers motors, and cooperatively mounting the housing in association with a uniquely constructed reflector, a spherical loudspeaker system is achieved which controls and shapes the ultimate acoustical waveform produced thereby. The loudspeaker system of the present invention controls and distributes the acoustical energy of the driver and housing, while shaping the acoustical energy field into a true hemispherical pattern, within the system's power bandwidth. By employing the present invention, the point of summation of the hemispherical pattern is approximately eight times the diameter of the reflector, thereby achieving the desired hemispherical polar coverage patterns.

  • Patent number: 6601302
Abstract: By providing a separate and independent hair trimmer or trimming assembly which is incorporated into a shaver system and is controllably movable directly into a variety of alternate positions for providing enhanced cutting of hair fibers, a substantially improved, close and comfortable shaving system is obtained which effectively cuts both short hair and long hair. By employing a single, multi-positionable, switch member which cooperates with a movement control system incorporated into a trimmer assembly, user control is provided for altering the position of the trimmer assembly for placing the trimmer assembly directly and any precisely desired orientation or location. In addition, in the preferred embodiment, the trimmer assembly incorporates a pair of specially constructed cutting elements formed thereon for providing enhanced cutting and/or trimming capabilities in a wide variety of alternate operations.

  • Patent number: 6599941
Abstract: A non-toxic, environmentally safe and easily employable insecticide and insect repellent is achieved by providing an aqueous composition incorporating ethanolamine based compounds, either independently or in combination with the ethanolamine based compounds being selected from both simple compounds and conjugated compounds. In one preferred embodiment, a highly effective composition is attained for safe, effective, direct topical application to humans and animals by employing between about 10% and 70% by volume of the entire composition of the ethanolamine-based compound. In alternate preferred embodiments, the insecticide is formulated for application to plants, trees, crops, and other vegetation to provide a composition which effectively controls bothersome insects, while being completely safe and non-injurious to the plant, tree, or crop, as well as to the flowers or fruit thereof.
