Abstract: A tire pressure alarm system which is mounted directly onto an existing lug bolt of a vehicle wheel after the bolt has been drilled axially to slidably accommodate a sensing rod. The sensing rod is restrained by a pressure responsive member, preferably in the form of a toroidal tube in direct fluid communication with the interior of a tire carried on the wheel. If tire pressure is lost, a spring overcomes the pressure responsive member to move the sensing rod to a position wherein it activates a signal circuit.
Abstract: Apparatus for inserting a relatively hard seal ring into a circular groove with a restricted opening, comprising an annular funneled chute formed by inner and outer annular members and an intermediate push ring on which they are slideably mounted. The outer member may be retracted against springs whereby the seal ring may be placed over a conical surface of the inner ring.
Abstract: A differential drive in which a reference sprocket is stationary for power drive and rotated for manual drive. In power drive, planet sprockets are orbited around the reference sprocket and rotated thereby. Drive planet sprockets on the same shafts drive an output sprocket at a slightly different ratio from the reference drive as they orbid around it, whereby there is a slow net rotation imparted thereto. In manual drive, the planet shaft axes are fixed and the reference wheel is rotated to drive the planet sprockets and rotate the output sprocket.
Abstract: A pressure surge relief system including a valve which is opened to relieve the pipeline when line pressure overcomes a pilot chamber pressure. A pilot load duct with a variable orifice device therein connects the chamber to the pipeline. In the event of a surge, the orifice retards pressure build-up in the chamber so that it will be overcome by higher pressure in the pipeline. Pressure responsive means makes the orifice device more restrictive as pressure increases to produce a pressure lag at the control chamber even at lower velocities.
Abstract: A conduit for a volatile fluid comprises principle lengths of a hard material having a relatively high tensile strength interrupted by rings of a soft ductile material. When the tube is subjected to an impact or excessive forces sufficient to cause rupture, the ductile rings are first drawn to a relatively small diameter, pinching off an inner, resilient seal tube to shut off further flow.

Most of the spaces represent business entities which are grouped by indicia thereon into combinations of three entities. Abstract: Method and apparatus for detecting and marking cow's in heat utilizing a heat sensitive current generator to scan the cow's backs and generate a current in response to detection of a zone at elevated temperature, characteristic of the tail head of a cow irritated by repeated mounting by other cows. A solenoid valve opens by the current so generated to porject a marking dye onto the cow's back.
Abstract: A console with a keyboard and visual display means is employed for setting or adjusting various controller circuit parameters such as control mode adjustments of the gain, integral and derivative times, set point, dead zone, high and low limit control and alarms, and the like, depending upon which such circuits are included in the controller. The parameters so set may be displayed by use of the display means under control of the keyboard. In addition, other circuit operating conditions such as the values of the process signal, error or deviation signal, manipulated variable or output signal, and the like, may be displayed by the display means under keyboard control. Furthermore manual controller operation under keyboard control also is provided.
Abstract: An automatic pet feeder has several troughs, each with a lid hinged thereto. A T-shaped cam follower extends from each lid and rides against a cylindrical cam tube which makes a single revolution during the feeding period. I-shaped slots each extend partially around the tubular cam through a selected arc so that it underlies its associated cam follower at a desired time, wherein biasing means force the lid upward to swing the cam follower completely through the slot and hold the lid in open position.
Abstract: An expansible tube valve having inlet and outlet body and closures with a generally cylindrical body enclosure between them. A flexible tube embraces a slotted core and integral enlarged beads around the ends of the tube are confined in accommodating annular recesses. Being so confined, the beads serve as retainer means for the tube ends and function also as body seals, being under moderate compression between cylindrical surfaces on the end closures and the interior of the body enclosure.
Abstract: A trunnion mounted ball valve with cam plates mounted on the stem axis. Cam followers on the seat rings engage in cam slots in the plates to move the seats positively into firm engagement with the ball at the open and closed positions thereof and retract them free of the ball as it is moved between those positions. The seats slide axially in slide rings which are threaded into the body around the flow passage. The valve ball, seat rings, and slide rings may be removed as a unit through the valve top opening.
Abstract: In a pressure surge relief system wherein a valve opens to relieve the pipeline when line pressure overcomes a pilot chamber gas pressure and including an accumulator which transfers the pressure of the pipeline liquid to the gas in the pilot chamber, the improvement comprising a column of relatively inert fluid which isolates the elastomer components of the accumulator from the possibly corrosive pipeline fluid.
