Abstract: The present invention is a dental implant inserted into the jaw bone for anchoring an artificial tooth in the bone. It has been designed to overcome the difficulties and complexities of prior art implants. The inventive implant consists of three simple components: An elongate body which has an neck portion and a root portion; an abutment which is mounted to the neck portion of the body and which receives the temporary or permanent replacement tooth; and a screw which secures the abutment to the body. The root portion of the body consists of multiple legs and is formed from a shape memory alloy. Use of shape memory alloy allows the root portion to assume a closed, elongate shape at cool temperatures and to assume an open, fanned shape at temperatures typical of the human body. The inventive implant is maintained at cool temperatures until and during insertion into the body allowing an easy and non-traumatic placement of the implant.

Abstract: A floor runner is disclosed for providing path of travel across a floor. The floor runner includes an elongated sheet in rolled form. The sheet is formed of a flexible plastic material having a bottom surface containing an adhesive applied thereto. The sheet has outer spaced apart parallel colored edges extending along the length. The colored edges are distinguishable from the generally translucent central portion of the sheet with the colored edges defining a path of travel therebetween. Further, a method of using the floor runner is disclosed where the floor runner has severed portions or lengths disposed transversely against a length of floor runner extended along a floor. The colored edges of the severed length and floor runner form a generally square-shaped colored perimeter viewable by a user to alert the user of an obstacle positioned therebelow.

Abstract: An inherently, and massively parallel data processing system and methodology is disclosed for evolving relative awareness, and related response states in a computerized environment. Any number of disparate data types can be configured with the goal of evolving complex data patterns involving these data forms across relative time and space. New data processing principles and a methodology are provided based on a new default logic that emulates the logic of the force of gravity as applied to proximity in time, space and form. Data form standards are provided that require time, place, and form factors at every convergent processing step. This system is capable of evolving complex awareness states as represented by ever larger associations of the original data samples without the need for knowledge bases, conditional rules or the like. Patterns are discerned in an emergent manner.

Abstract: Flatware that can be quickly and easily sorted when placed in a liquid solution, the flatware encompasses three classes, spoons, forks and knives. The spoons have a generally uniform buoyancy so as to float at a first level in the liquid solution, the forks have a generally uniform buoyancy so as to float at a second level in the liquid solution, and the knives have a generally uniform buoyancy so as to float at a third level in the liquid solution. The flatware floats at different levels in the liquid solution which provides the separation of the spoons, forks and knives in the liquid solution and enables the retrieval of the separated flatware in a sorted fashion. An additional method of sorting and removing the flatware from the liquid solution includes mixing in a prescribed amount of salt solution to the liquid solution and/or raising the temperature of the liquid solution a predetermined amount.

Abstract: A funnel for use in connection with reusable plastic bottles or containers includes a body portion and a spout portion extending from the body portion to a lower open end. The spout portion is formed of downwardly extending inner and outer portions in spaced apart relation from one another to define a gap therebetween sized for receiving an upper portion of a fill spout of the plastic bottle. The outer portion has an interior surface facing the inner portion. A lower portion of the interior surface has an inwardly upwardly tapered portion adapted for receiving an outwardly extending portion of the fill spout in pressing engagement therewith to allow inward compression of the outwardly extending portion against the interior surface.

The sides and ends are foldably joined to a perimeter of the base opposite each other respectively. Each side is foldably joined end-to-end with adjacent ends and each end is foldably joined end-to-end with adjacent sides. Each side is foldably divided into three segments along lines extending approximately a 45 degree angle from a corner toward approximately a center of the side. The three segments comprise a center segment foldably joined to two outer segments where an outer segment base length is approximately equal to one-half of a center segment base length. The sides and ends cooperatively form an open mouth of the container substantially co-extensive with the perimeter of the base when the container is in an expanded position.

Abstract: A knockdown platform for use on an inclined surface comprising a table structure having an upper table top with a plurality of indentations and openings for containment of a variety of objects. The table structure has a hollowed area on its underside. An upright leg structure is positioned at one end of the table structure. A hinge connects the table structure and the upright leg structure in assembly together in the hollowed area. Collapsible locking brackets further secure the table structure and the upright leg structure in assembly. The collapsible locking brackets are adjustable so as to secure the table structure and the upright leg structure at right angles. The collapsible locking bracket is releasable enabling the table structure and the upright leg structure to be pivoted on the hinge located interior to the hollowed area on the underside of the table structure.

Abstract: An electrical wiring distribution system adapted for securement with a metal floor structure is provided. The system includes a hatch structure secured to a cellular floor structure. The hatch structure has a housing having an interior portion therewithin and an open bottom end. The housing has opposed sidewalls disposed transverse to the enclosed metal cells and bottom portions extending downwardly in close adjacency with channelways of the floor structure to prevent ingress of concrete into the interior portion. The housing has a pair of side portions having edges forming an access opening in communication with the interior portion of the housing. A divider structure is provided in the interior portion of the housing for dividing the interior portion of the housing into at least a pair of sections. The housing has an upper flange defining a top access opening.

Abstract: A bean bag alphanumeric figure is provided comprised of a first fabric side and a second fabric side having indicia of a face on the exterior of the first fabric side. The first fabric side and the second fabric side are held together in attachment so as to form a pocket by stitching along the periphery of the fabric sides so as to expose the exterior of the first fabric side to the exterior of the pocket. The pocket formed from first fabric side and the second fabric side is stitched closed leaving an opening which would allow the filling of the pocket formed from the two sides with a bean or pellet like material. The two sides of the fabric left unattached would then be brought into engagement and attached by stitching the sides closed. Abstract: A sleeve structure and method are provided for use with a cryogenic specimen container which is maintained at a cryogenic temperature below -80.degree. C. to allow for labeling of the specimen container. The sleeve structure includes sidewalls defining a cylindrically shaped interior chamber sized for telescopically receiving a lower portion of a cryogenic specimen container in nested engagement. The sleeve structure has a locking mechanism for holding the sleeve structure in removably secured engagement with specimen container when the specimen container is in nested engagement with the sleeve structure. Identification markings are secured to an exterior side of the sleeve structure.

Abstract: An orthopedic device ankle exerciser for rehabilitating and exercising an injured ankle of a pair of feet where each foot has an arch, a heel, toes, and a mid portion and where one foot of the pair of feet has a healthy ankle. The orthopedic device ankle exerciser comprises a foot board, pivot means, and fastening means. The foot board has a central portion, a lower surface, an upper surface opposite the lower surface, a first end, and a second end opposite the first end. The pivot means pivotably and frictionally supports the foot board and the pivot means is fixably and centrally attached to the lower surface of the foot board at the central portion inorder to prevent horizontal translation of the foot board.
